COVER STORY: CHRISTINA MILIANJanuary 4, 2014 By Louis Garbarini Christina Milian, the multi-talented actress, singer, song writer and former contestant of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ adds wine brand owner to her career. In June of 2012, Specialty Marketing Group owner and Viva Diva Wines creator, Anthony Yebba partnered with Christina Milian to grow the brand. Their vision was to make their naturally infused Moscato one of the top selling in the United States. Quickly after adding Christina as brand partner, the brand became just that. In participation with award show gifting suites, New York Fashion Week, store tastings and a bottle signing tour, Viva Diva Wines has seen quite a growth. Viva Diva Wines is now available in over 15 states through the US and ships to more than 23 states online. MM: Christina, it has been such a pleasure watching your success over the years. Millennium Magazine readers would love to know how the opportunity came up to be a part of Viva Diva Wines:Christina: I was invited to a gifting suite in Los Angeles that I wasn’t planning on attending until last minute. Viva Diva Wines was there and I met Robyn from Illumination PR who is the publicist for the brand. She thought I would be a perfect fit for the brand. Once I tasted it, I knew not only the name but that taste was a perfect fit for me. MM: What is your role in Viva Diva Wines?Christina: I am a brand owner and also the face of the brand as well. I have been involved in the label design, the flavor selection, the branding, the website and I assist in the retailer and distribution end too. I want to know everything that is happening and what I can do to make it even better in any business that I am in. If my name is on it, I want it to represent who I am and Viva Diva Wines does just that. MM: Where can we find Viva Diva Wines?Christina: We are available in 15 states throughout the US and we ship to 22 states. We just got picked up by Walmart and Sedano’s in Florida. We are opening up New Jersey this month you should be able to find Viva in all the Home Liquor stores soon. Of course I am pretty excited that Vallarta’s in California will soon be our first retailer to open up my home state of California. It’s been a very successful start to my partnership with Viva Diva Wines. MM: What else are you working on right now?Christina: In addition to Viva Diva Wines, I am partners in Platinum E Hookah. It’s a high end hookah line that comes in a variety of flavors. Each hookah has no nicotine and no tar and the platinum collection have diamond tips. Everyone from Drake to Big Ang has enjoyed them! They are definitely a celebrity favorite as well as a consumer favorite. MM: You know we have to ask, when can we expect to hear some music?Christina: This year! I have been working with incredible producers for my next album. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. MM: We have heard that you are engaged, what can you tell us about your love life right now?Christina: I am in a great place right now and feel very fortunate to have so much good in my life. I am happy my daughter is happy and at the end of the day that is what is most important. We are truly enjoying the moment. MM: What was one of the most intriguing parts of doing ‘Dancing with the Stars’?Christina: You know DWTS wasn’t just about what a great opportunity it was it was also about conquering a fear for me. It was an incredible opportunity for me and a little scary at the same time. I believe if anything scares you, you need to face it head on and conquer it. Dancing with the Stars was such a great experience for me and I am honored to have had the opportunity to dance with such a talented partner. MM: Thank you for taking the time to speak to us, we wish you much continued success in 2014 and beyond!Christina: Thank you so much!

Christina Milian Filming New Reality Series, Talks Viva Diva Wine Collection, Platinum E Hookah Business, New Music [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW]Christina Milian first burst onto the scene back in 2001 with her self-titled debut album and has been killing it since. With hit singles such as "AM to PM," "Dip It Low" and "Us Against The World," the multi-talented phenomenon quickly became a household name in both music and on screen in films such as "Love Don't Cost a Thing," "Be Cool" and "Bring It On: Fight to the Finish." But glitz and glamor aside, the Jersey City native is starting the next chapter of her life. Juggling her family, acting and music, Christina has launched multiple successful business ventures including her new Viva Diva wine collection and Platinum E Hookahs. Once married to producer The Dream, Christina is also the proud mom of 4-year-old Violet and now happily engaged to entertainment mogul Jas Prince. Extremely tight with her mom and sisters, family means everything to the down-to-earth 32-year-old. Fashion & Style caught up with the busy beauty to chat about her growing empire, her adorable daughter and why she's been too swamped to start planning her wedding. FNS: You were once the social media correspondent on NBC's "The Voice." This season, they are switching out judges Christina Aguilara and CeeLo Green for Usher and Shakira. Do you like how they change the lineup often?CM: Of course, I love how they change up the dynamic. Shakira and Usher are such a great duo and then you put them together with the originals Blake and Adam, they are all really fun. But this season, you are taking time off. So what have you been up to?I'm concentrating on filming a new docu-series. It's based on my life, my career, my endeavors, my family. I have two sisters and my mom and we are all really tight. We all have big dreams and big ideas and it's the best day and age to be an entrepreneur and make things happen. It also follows my life with my guy as well as my friendships. We start shooting this week. We hear you are getting ready to release your fourth album! Has being on "The Voice" pushed you to get back into the music game?I was never really out of the game! I was busy finding my music with Young Money, I was still recording but it's a lot of business and a lot of waiting. You have to figure out a roll out plan, negotiate this and that, so I think being on that show made me a bit more antsy. Watching people perform and fulfil their dreams is amazing but it helped me remember there is a time and a place for everyone, so to be patient. There is a reason for everything and being a young mom, I know these times are really important. When it comes to music, it can be very time consuming so even regardless of the wait, it's been good because I've been able to work, hone in on my craft and spend time with my daughter. Speaking of, Violet just turned 4-years-old. How did you celebrate? We did a pizza party at her school which she and the other students loved and in the evening we went bowling with my family and got together with my nephew. Everybody had a really good time. Her birthday isn't done either, she's having another party next week at the zoo, which will be really big. What's the biggest challenge of being a single mom in Hollywood?I would say Hollywood is really good to us. When it comes to being a single mom, I think some people in the past may have felt as if they had to hide it or they weren't sexy but I think Hollywood celebrates moms more now. Of course the long hours can be challenging and sometimes you don't get to spend as much time with your kid. You are waking up early and working late so those are the times you feel a little bit guilty as a parent. But at the end of the day, you know you are putting that food on the table and showing them what motivation and what hard work is. As a mom, there is nothing you wont do for your kid. Luckily, you have a great partner by your side! You have been engaged since last spring. How is the wedding planning going?Haha, there has been no wedding planning! Wedding planning takes time to get it right and I have to figure out what the heck I'm doing. But I think this time around will be a big one. He has a lot family and I think we will get married in the South because he is from Texas and it will be a good middle ground for all of my family and friends. You have a such an awesome sense of style, effortlessly mixing streetwear with high-end designers. What influences that fresh fashion perspective? It's all about how I feel that day. When I go shopping, I like to mix it up. I'll shop online everywhere from Nasty Gal to Gilt, it's just a hodgepodge of feelings I have that day but I also like to look at men's fashion because I love that masculine and feminine approach. Like wearing a sexy tight pair of jeans with sneakers or panty hose with a long tee shirt. I like to be current but I also like to start my own trends. You have really grown into quite the business woman. Tell us how VivaDiva and Platinum E Hookah came about?VivaDiva is my wine line and it's one of my passions. I got into the wine business because I see it as a bond between me and my girlfriends. I knew I just had to do it. We are found at Walmart and grocery stores in 27 different states. We are doing really well and we are growing fast. I'm really hands on with the brand, I love doing bottle signings and meeting the fans. Our Moscato does really well and our strawberry, mango and coconut flavors are my favorites. Hookah is another thing that's on the rise. My brand Platinum E Hookah just got a deal with Kmart and we are in nightclubs and convenient stores throughout the U.S. We specialize in rechargeable e-hookahs that are 100 percent free of nicotine, ash, tar, charcoal and smoke. It's a fast growing business. People are getting off of cigarettes and finding another way to satisfy that oral fixation so they have been turning to hookah. It tastes great and gives that same effect as a cigarette but safer.

Interview: Christina Milian Talks "Rise Of An Empire", Young Money, Next Album, and MoreMon, 10 Mar 2014 09:50:31 Christina Milian reveals her first Young Money Entertainment jam on Rise of an Empire [Out March 11, 2014], and it's the sexy, slick banger we've all been waiting for. With Lil Wayne in tow, the soulful diva delivers one of her most infectious anthems yet. It's classic Christina, but to the next level. About the track, she smiles, "Some people look at video models and they're like, 'There's something about them that's so confident and sexy. How do they carry it?' We all want to feel like that! There's a twist of edge that goes with it. I have those moments where I'm having a really good time, and I let go." "Video Model" is not the only piece from Christina that will make you stop and take another look. She's also in the midst of prepping her new album—the first she's done for Young Money Entertainment. "My fans have been waiting a long time, and they're going to love it," she assures. "I worked on the majority of it in Atlanta. That city is known for making great R&B pop music all the way from Usher to TLC. You name it people have to touch down in Atlanta, especially in this genre. Even if you're pop artist, Justin Bieber has made albums and music there. It's a great stomping ground for making real homegrown music. I worked with Polow da Don and some classic legendary guys who are still current and dope. They gave me the right chemistry I needed so I could come back with my sexy approach. I'm just having a good time. The of course it's my relationships. My experiences in the public and the private have been out there. I'm willing to sing about them on the record, and they're pretty dope. I think it's mature and sexy, but fun. It's a new grown up Christina, but still sexy. Don't forget that."

Christina Milian on Her New Reality Show, Spending Time With Daughter Violet — Exclusive We don’t really know when Christina Milian finds time to sleep. The multi-hyphenate may have left The Voice last summer, but she’s busier than ever, balancing two budding businesses (Viva Diva Wines and Platinum E Hookahs), a musical comeback, and — most importantly — being a mom to 4-year-old Violet. Oh, and she recently got engaged to longtime boyfriend, Jas Prince. No big deal. But while the rest of us regular folk might think that was enough, Christina is just piling more on to her plate. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke with the gorgeous momma recently, where she spilled on her forthcoming reality show, working with Pauly D, and whether she’d ever let her daughter join the entertainment industry. Wetpaint Entertainment: We hear you have a reality show in the works. Can you tell us a little more about that?Christina Milian: We have something in development right now. It’s like a docuseries following my life, my music, being an entrepreneur. My mom and my sister are also a part of the show. Definitely the meat and potatoes of it is not only myself, but also my family, and how we all are go-getters, and we support each other. Also, my friendships with my girlfriends, and my relationship with [fiancé] Jas. Can you reveal which network we’ll see you on?I’m working with the E! network now a lot, let’s just say that. I have another show with them called Sounding Off. It’s a kind of a weekly variety show, and we talk about what’s happening in music. It’s similar to Fashion Police. It’s Terrence J, Pauly D, Caroline D’Amore, and myself. It’s fun! We talk about what’s going on, play games — we goof off a lot. We’ve already shot a couple of specials, but you’ll probably see a few more web specials, and then it will turn into a TV show. While you have all these projects in the works, you also have your daughter Violet. How do you balance it all? What comes first is your child. If you do have the free time don’t waste it, spend it with your kids. I work around the clock, so a lot of the time my mornings are spent with her, before she goes to school. Sometimes when I don’t get to spend the day with her, I wake her up at night — but only if she doesn’t have school the next day! She sometimes just notices for a second and we cuddle with each other before she goes back to sleep, and that makes me happy. Is there anything special that you two do together? There’s a lot of stuff. I have like an acre of land beside my house, so I turned it into a little botanical garden, with fruit trees and flowers, and in the middle of it I built her a giant playground. So we go out there and play together, and that’s pretty special. Would you ever let her be in the industry? If it was the right time, I wouldn’t hold her back from her dreams. My parents supported me early on. I was watching TV at age 4, saying I wanted to be on television. Everything that I wanted to do was already in me. So if that’s something that she would want, I would definitely support her.

How Christina Milian Co-Parents With Ex-Husband The-DreamBy Abbie Boudreau Apr 17, 2014 8:18am Christina Milian is a chart-topping R&B and hip-hop star best known for hits like “Dip It Low” and her star run on “Dancing With the Stars.” It is a much more personal role, however, that means the most to Milian: being a mother to 4-year-old daughter Violet Madison Nash. When Milian teamed up with the parenting blog Momtastic last month to share her motherhood experiences, it was a blog she wrote on co-parenting that struck a chord with other moms. “I feel like I’m in a good place, then all the better to just put it out there and hope that it can help someone else,” Milian told ABC News of why she decided to make her private life public. “We all figure it out,” she said. “Sometimes, you just got to take it, take the lesson, and learn, and know that this happened for a reason.” Milian, 32, divorced Violet’s father, singer-songwriter The-Dream, in 2011, when their daughter was just a few months old. The singer says she gets past the rough points of dealing with a former spouse by allowing herself to pause and remember what’s important. “I say, ‘Take a second and breathe,’” Milian said. “You know, have the best intentions. Pray on it.” Milian revealed she also got outside help – in the form of a therapist – to help her learn how to communicate with her ex, whose real name is Terius Nash. “I think that communication will save you half the drama,” she said. “You know, it makes things so much easier. And I think I learned that. “My motivation at the end of the day was making sure that my daughter had two parents that were in her life consistently,” Milian said. “She’s a really smart girl and I think she has a healthy understanding of knowing that mommy and daddy are no longer together but we both love her.” Engaged since last year to Jas Prince, Milian says another important aspect of co-parenting is to know when to introduce a new partner to your child. “I think it’s very important to take your time when introducing a new person into your child’s life,” Milian said. “You want to make sure this is going to work out so you’re not introducing them to a new person over and over again because you never know who is going to be the one.”

Rap-Up TV: Christina Milian Talks Young Money Debut and ‘Tha Carter V’It’s been eight years since Christina Milian released her last album, but the singer-actress is finally ready to return to music. Rap-Up TV caught up with the multi-tasking mama in L.A. while she was promoting her partnership with Kimberly-Clark and TheFunSong.com. In between raising her daughter Violet and her gigs on “Dancing With the Stars” and “The Voice,” the 32-year-old has been in the studio with Polow Da Don, Kalenna, She’kspere, and Detail recording her Young Money debut, which will have a club feel. She also hopes to recruit her YMCMB family including Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga. Meanwhile, she has teamed up with the boss man, Lil Wayne, for his final album Tha Carter V. The two recently logged some late-night sessions with producer Mannie Fresh. “From what I’ve heard, he’s gonna have a killer album,” said Christina. “I’m excited about the next one.” She also plans to shoot a video for “Video Model,” her collaboration with Wayne off the Young Money compilation Rise of an Empire. In addition to music, Christina has been taping a docu-series for E! starring her mother, sisters, daughter, and fiancé Jas Prince, which is slated to premiere this fall.

She recently did an interview with Latin Trends Magazine: Christina Milian Balancing Music and Motherhood While Staying SexyBy LeAura Luciano Christina Milian is one busy mujer! From working on music, an upcoming tour, shooting a new reality show and more, she still makes time for familia. The Cubana has partnered with Kimberly-Clark for a new family-focused campaign, the new integrated Celebrate Family UNity ("FUN") program. Celebrate FUN is a platform created to motivate and inspire families to come closer together and give them fun ways to drive family pride and celebrate their unity. An integral part of the program is the new and unique Family UNity ("FUN") Song web app where families can customize their own "FUN song" and both share socially and download as a ringtone. Kimberly-Clark - makers of Huggies, Pull-Ups, U by Kotex, Kleenex and Scott brands - created this program and web app to give families a creative way to express their unique family unity. Now through July 20, you can log on to www.TheFunSong.com and customize a family song. And there's more: your family could win a recording session with Milian! We caught up with the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and mother to talk about her music, her daughter Violet, and what's next! WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN THIS FAMILY UNITY CAMPAIGN?The Kimberley-Clark Celebrate Family Unity program is a great way for all families to celebrate the unique bonds that only they share. Music is a universal language that connects families across all cultures, including my own, and it's that goal to inspire more families to embrace their togetherness with the FUN program. Family unity means everything to me. I've very deeply rooted in family. It's a pride thing.WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE PROJECT?One of the parts of the program is going to the website and customizing their own personal family fun song, it's really cute. They get to record a song and then it's submitted for this great competition. They also have the opportunity to record a song with me. I'll be in the studio with the winning family and we'll get to record the song.HOW OFTEN DO YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER SING TOGETHER?It's pretty often. Violet loves to sing. Right now, it's a lot of Disney. The Frozen soundtrack is in heavy rotation in the car. So she's into "Let It Go" and "Do You Want To Build a Snowman?" And so those are her two songs that she doesn't let me sing with her. She lets me sing at first, but then she'll say "No, it's my turn!" and I can't sing anymore.YOU BOTH ARE ALL OVER INSTAGRAM. SHE SEEMS TO LOVE THE CAMERA. DO YOU THINK SHE WANTS TO BE A PERFORMER?She's a natural. She loves singing, dancing, and drawing. Already, she has a beautiful voice, between her dad [The-Dream] and I, it's in her blood.NOW THAT YOU'RE A MOM, HAS THAT IMPACTED THE MUSIC YOU WANT TO MAKE? ARE YOU STILL GONNA "DIP IT LOW AND PICK IT UP SLOW?"Not too much has changed. I've just got more to sing about. As far as my music, I am still very youthful, they are still fun, great party songs, relationship songs people can relate to. It's still sexy. That's the type of artist I've admired growing up: Madonna, Janet Jackson and Beyonce.IN ADDITION TO CHASING AFTER YOUR DAUGTHER, HOW DO YOU STAY FIT?I'm getting ready to release a single called "Video Model" and we're shooting a music video for that soon. So I am getting in shape for that! My busy schedule doesn't allow me to eat as much as if we're home, so that's good. I try to make good food choices. For exercise, I like Runyon Canyon and outdoor activities. I also take a class my friend teaches, it's a dance class called "Twerk Out."WHEN CAN WE SEE YOU ON-SCREEN NEXT?Right now, we are filming my new show on E! It's a docu-series with my family. It's got my mom and my sisters and everybody. I'm career-minded right now and you'll get to see my entrepreneurial side. I think viewers will see more of my family and they'll get to see my backstory even more. When it comes to life, I don't let a lot of things bother me. I'm a free spirit, I try to enjoy life as much as I can.WHAT DOES BEING LATINA MEAN TO YOU?The fact that I'm Cuban, I am always trying to understand my background and learn more. I've never been to Cuba but would love to go someday/ Being Latina...means so many things. I think our family is a source of comfort, we can be loud and have fun, there's a fire for life. We are a passionate people, from food to dance there's a little extra spice.

Exclusive: Christina Milian, Fiance Jas Prince Split: Singer Calls Off EngagementCelebrity News Jun. 20, 2014 AT 6:30AM By Allison Takeda and Jennifer Peros It's over. Christina Milian has called it quits with fiance Jas Prince after two years of dating, a rep for the star's family confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. The singer/songwriter/actress, 32, called off her engagement to the Rap-A-Lot Records CEO earlier this month. She moved her stuff out of their shared house in L.A. on Thursday, June 19. Milian and Prince reportedly started dating in 2010, months after her split from ex-husband The-Dream, with whom she has a 4-year-old daughter, Violet. In April 2013, she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring—but she played coy about whether she was engaged when asked in interviews. Tellingly, Milian took to Instagram on June 12 with a message about starting fresh and living the life you want. She shared a photo of a quote reading: "There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living." Alongside the pic, she wrote, "Morning inspiration. Turn your life around and do all the things that make you happy. It's your life to live." What makes Milian happy, it seems, is her career. The multi-talented star is continuing to work on her music and acting career, and is also busy with other ventures including Viva Diva Wines, Platinum E Hookah, and a new docu-series.

Christina Milian Goes In On Instagram Over Jas Prince DefendersBy ericberry | June 23, 2014 Last week, HipHollywood reported that Christina Milian had called off her engagement to the music producer Jas Prince and moved out of their shared home. No reason for the split was given, but a Instagram user got the singer to hint at some improprieties on Prince’s part after leaving this comment on one of her photographs: “I know one thing, you better still be with Jas. He seems like a good guy who really loves you and Violet. Don’t slip up.”Milian quickly responded to the message, writing: “I’m not. You should’ve told HIM not to slip up. But everyone’s really caught up in what they see only on Instagram. I can make everything “appear” perfect to the works, but my truth is still the truth.”Milian, 32, and Prince, the CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, had been engaged since May 2013.

Christina Milian and Lil Wayne Hot Dating Rumors 2014By Esther Jang (staff@latinpost.com)First Posted: Jul 01, 2014 02:39 PM EDT Christina Milian and Lil Wayne spark dating rumors once again, as they appeared to be more than just good friends at the after-party of this year's BET Awards. The New Jersey-born singer and the New Orleans emcee were seen enjoying each other's company at Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood on Sunday night, June 29. The pair was photographed leaving the venue together at the end of the evening, piling into the back seat of a black car with Wayne sitting down low on the tan leather upholstery while Milian smiling next to him. According to MediaTakeOut.com, the two superstars looked like they had a "bit too much" to drink. The "Dip It Low" songstress has apparently been spending quite a lot of time with the "Believe Me" rapper lately, as they were recently spotted out partying together. Also, she previously revealed in an interview with Rap-Up TV that she recorded two collaboration tracks on Tunechi's highly anticipated upcoming last solo album "Tha Carter V" -- especially considering the fact that she is signed to his Young Money Entertainment record label. The hip-hop duo has actually been under dating speculations for several years now, although they were both in long-term relationships in the meantime. In fact, it has only been less than two weeks since US Weekly officially confirmed that Christina Milian called off her 14-month engagement to longtime fiance Jas Prince, the CEO of Houston-based Rap-A-Lot Records. The couple started dating back in 2010 and got enganged in April 2013. The 32-year-old beauty is a mother of 4-year-old daughter Violet she had with ex-boyfriend, fellow R&B artist The-Dream. Similarly, Lil Wayne has been dating on-and-off girlfriend Dhea Sodano since early 2011, while the pair got engaged in February 2012. The 31-year-old rapper has four children in total from different women.

I know right? I still can't believe she was screwing The Dream for that long and didn't even get a hit out of it. Didn't she learn anything from Nivea?
You have to love yourself Christina!

Watch: Christina Milian Talks Lil' Wayne Dating Rumors Iyana Robertson Posted July 12, 2014 Christina Milian and Karrueche Tran recently stopped by Power 106 LA’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood to discuss their upcoming projects. Sharing that she is working on her upcoming E! reality series, Milian also talked about Lil’ Wayne, as well as Violet, her daughter with The-Dream “She four-and-a-half years old. She’s way beyond -- I don’t even think she was a toddler when she was. She just like a really forward-think, really sarcastic and fun child,” she said. “So I got really fortunate with her because she understands everything. I can’t have a conversation without her knowing exactly what I’m talking about, and throwing it back in my face too later.” Milian also talked with Big Boy about the filming process of the docu-series, saying that the experience was awkward initially. She gave a scope of the areas of her life that would be covered. “They’re shooting my career, all the business stuff, me as a mother, my sisters,” she said. The conversation turned briefly to the rumors swirling that the singer is romantically involved with her Young Money boss Lil’ Wayne. Following accusations that the two were dating after they were spotted leaving a BET Awards after party, Big Boy asked where Tunechi would come into during the E! series. “In the studio. That’s where Lil’ Wayne will be,” she said with a laugh.
