I got it for Christmas in 2000 because when my aunt asked me what I'd like for Christmas, I said "Any of these Celine CD's," and that's the one she picked up. Today it's still one of my favorites of hers. The only track I really skip is "Real Emotion"...never really liked that one. But I find the rest of the album to be a good solid consistent work, with a nice balance of gorgeous ballads and great uptempo tracks.

The nicest thing I remember about that era is that I was very disappointed as I was returning from Europe, and I knew "Think Twice" was huge in the UK, but I didn't find the CD single anywhere in Paris. I had to stay one night in Miami, and I went to this small Latin record store and got it! Weird, since it did terribly in the US, but it's my favorite song on the album, and I'm glad I got the CD single that way.

Aside from "The Power Of Love," "Misled," "and "Think Twice," this album has never done much for me. Falling Into You and Let's Talk About Love are easily my favorite Celine albums.

Another solid Celine album. Only One Road, I Remember L.A, Refuse to Dance and The Colour of My Love are my favorites.

Refuse To Dance AKA another missed single opportunity. Celine and Britney are the two people I can think of where I can listen to (almost) any album and hear at least three potential singles that never got released.

This album is a frustrating one for me because I fell in love with certain songs ("Next Plane Out" "Only One Road" "I Remember LA") and couldn't stand others ("No Living..." "Lovin' Proof"). I had no idea that Next Plane Out was a single in Australia. (one of my favorite Warren compositions) Very random! Was there ever a physical release for this? I can imagine that it would be very rare.

I love and can recall with ease every track. It is probably my favorite Céline album, despite the fact that is sounds really dated now.
"Refuse to Dance" is orgasmic!!

I remember begging the sales clerk at a record store in Detroit to sell me this album a day early of its actual release date which he finally did. I also remember running to Barnes and Noble each week to pick up Billboard and see if the album was rising up the chart. I gasped in delight the week it finally went Top 10. I know the production is rather dated now but it still brings back great memories for me. Next Plane Out is the reason why I packed a suitcase and moved to NYC a week after I bought the cassette to build a better life. God I was such a stan then to let a Celine Dion song change my life lol

^ that's the stuff artists dream of :)
I absolutely love Refuse to Dance. I think sensual, dance music is something she should explore more on the next cd. She sounds amazing.

^ that's the stuff artists dream of :) Yes, thank you Glenpwood for sharing your Next Plane Out true story. Diane Warren is a goddess and this song is one of her finest. My favorite line is "I can't be strong no more..."

To complement what I said three years ago, this is my favorite Céline album, as I felt the following English albums from her through A New Day Has Come went too far into balladry, while this had a greater variety of genres.
I would love if Céline explored dancier themes like she did here and on One Heart in some of the songs, as her voice suits thumping dance beats just as well as love power ballads.

Love Celine, everything she made is great, doesn't matter what it is.

This album used to get trapped in my head when I was younger. Next Plane Out in particular, if I listened to it, would be stuck on repeat and I'd be unable to get to sleep. I haven't listened to the album in a few years but I remember it did the same thing again. I'd say the entire first half is my favourite sequence of Celine songs on any of her albums.

This is out on vinyl now and my local record store has it. I want to try to go get it if it's not sold yet!

http://instagram.com/p/CzbcDkTgQ2u By the early 90s, Celine Dion had already captivated audiences with her hits “Where Does My Heart Beat Now”, “Beauty and the Beast” and “If you Asked Me To”. But she was only getting started… On November 9th 1993, Celine Dion released her 3rd English-language album, The Colour of My Love, including hits such as “The Power of Love”, “Misled”, “Think Twice” and “When I Fall in Love” (duet with Clive Griffith). As Billboard qualified it: The Colour of My Love is a “big-league affair” that should push Dion to “new realms of pop stardom”. To this day, this album remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. Happy 30th anniversary, The Colour My Love!
