adamlambert: I'd like to remind everyone that we ALL are entitled to our own opinion. (That's the kind of entitlement that IS sexy)Being PC is so boring adamlambert: Oh and...I'm referring to everything I've ever said that is "controversial". Just being honest which I prize over being full of s**t. adamlambert: I WAS horribly mis-quoted though... :)

I agree with Adam in saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
However, saying that Susan Boyle's version of Wild Horses wasn't to his liking would have been sufficient.
IMO, his comments:
1. Are incredicly disrespectful towards Susan Boyle (especially after where they both come from and what she has accomplished with her "terrible" CD);
2. Show an ironic lack acceptance to something different (need I say more? He's practically ridiculing someone different than him...); and
3. Belittle the millions of fans she has who love her, her album, her voice, and her versions of the songs. He's saying Wild Horses made him laugh the hardest, meaning other songs also made him laugh?
As if I need more reasons to dislike Adam. I know interviews in magazines can often be misrepresented, but an entire paragraph would never be misquoted. There's no missing sarcasm. There's no ellipsis. I don't see how that could have been "misquoted", if that is what he's referring to with his twitter.

He keeps saying he was misquoted but never says in what way- I don't think he knows the definition of "misquote."

How is that a misquote? Unless Adam was making an extremely (failed) sarcastic joke that the writer didn't mention in writing.
Adam doesn't seem to know the difference between being PC and being polite. He could easily say something along the lines of "I'm not really a fan of her album" and leave it at that instead of thrashing the album unnecessarily.

Adam just wants attention anyway he can get it. I thought he was very cruel and I hope Susan's CD sales make a big jump.

^He's being cruel in a haughty, off-putting way. Comments like that can get you press, but definitely make you lose fans. I'm objective enough to know that I don't like him but would still support his music. More people would be biased enough in his personality to never support his music (regardless of how good it may be). Long story short, a personality like his can't possibly have a very long future in the industry--the label will recommend he tone it down, no doubt...

Get back to me when Adam physically abuses a loved one. It's really not as serious as you guys are making it. Not AS serious--but serious enough to lose him fans. Is this guy stupid or just self-destructive? Either way he's undermining his own career, not Boyle's.

I think his Handlers need to tell him to just STFU. Especially when commenting on his own AMA performance. It wasn't threatening, it was cringe-inducing. It's never fun to watch somebody make an ass of himself before millions of people.

Some of you get your panties in a wad over the most inane s**t. Wow, not sure what kind of picture you are trying to paint by piecing together random quotes from Adam. The last few pages have been occupied by the same 2 or 3 posters digging up "facts" to place Adam in a negative light. Seems like a lot of time and effort to give towards someone you want to fail so badly. I'm sure that energy could be put to better use.

Hahaha, I hardly doubt that Adam is self-destructive. He's just opinionated and more willing to state those opinions, positive and negative ones, than most celebrities. Just that trait alone probably irks some people, especially when they don't share his same opinions. The SuBo thing wasn't the best PR move from him, especially since she's like twenty times more popular than him, but he's just commenting about the interpretation of a song. It wasn't even an attack on her or her voice. He looks mean and condescending, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was laughing or joking about it actually. Even if he wasn't though, I don't get why it's that big of a deal. Her album was pretty poorly received by critics, especially the interpretation part.

Adam should definitely watch his mouth a bit more as a new artist trying to get his foot in the door who already has his share of backlash. He's very opinionated and some folks who are a bit more socially conservative can't wrap their brains around his talk about his sexuality, candid drug experiences, etc. His comments about SuBo reminded me of Elly Jackson of La Roux trashing the state of R&B music. However, unlike Jackson's comments, Lambert's were actually spot on. SuBo's music is laughable for the most part. She has a great voice but that's pretty much it. Folks cheer her on because she's a hot mess who happens to be able to sing. She's sheer novelty.
In either case, it's certainly not that big of a deal as many people feel the exact same way about Boyle despite her success. The SuBo comments are essentially just more fuel for the folks who can't stand Lambert like a handful here at PMB.

I already knew Adam had a mean streak a mile wide. He's arrogant besides. But the comments should trouble you. You're the fan who has to watch his career tank.

Speaking for myself, the comments don't trouble me at all. Of course, I find that difficult to believe since trolling this thread seems to be your raison d'être at PMB. I see right through your lame schtick. Fortunately, I can care less about Lambert's personal opinions or what he does in his spare time as long as he makes music I enjoy. My music library would be minuscule if I judged every artist by whether they do or say things I agree with.

I don't come by here that often--I'm mostly active on another thread. But it's always fascinating to watch somebody like Adam self-destruct. He doesn't seem to have a clue why the response to him as a singer so far has been tepid. He blames it on homophobia--a catch-all excuse to cover his own arrogance and self-importance. Just as interesting are his fans' reactions to those who don't like Adam and are not shy about saying so. I mention this because Adam's primarily all about controversy. That's his claim to fame. Music is a sideshow.

^ Perhaps you should take your own words to heart as you seem exponentially more personally invested in Lambert than me. I'm not the one scouring the internet for Lambert info to bolster failed attempts at shade throwing. I read what's here to read and enjoy the album. Feel free to stay pressed about Adam.

He is becoming a side show attraction, which is a shame because he is talented.

Oh god, we need a mod in here ASAP. Yes, please. :) I would like to come here for discussions about Adam's album (whether the opinions are positive or negative), not a Purity Ball or a Discussion of the Current Atmosphere of Moral Degradation in America.
