What bugs me is he said in conjuncture with it, it's "all rock and roll..."- it seems rock and roll is everywhere, except, that is, on his actual album.

Oh god, we need a mod in here ASAP. Yes, please. :) I would like to come here for discussions about Adam's album (whether the opinions are positive or negative), not a Purity Ball or a Discussion of the Current Atmosphere of Moral Degradation in America. Lol. I love how Adam's fans post comments on his clothes, his hair, his makeup, his red carpet interviews, his talk show appearances, etc.--none of which have anything to do with discussions of his album. It's only when his critics make comments you disagree with that you suddenly discover the need to stick to the subject.

^ ahem, this is the thread for his album's ERA, not for the album itself.
So yes, all of those things you listed (comments on his clothes, his hair, his makeup, his red carpet interviews, his talk show appearances) to usually pertain to the thread's purpose.

It's only when his critics make comments you disagree with that you suddenly discover the need to stick to the subject. Sorry, I wasn't being clear enough before. I don't mean that your comments were off-topic. It's a thread about Adam, I'm guessing most things related to him are on-topic, lol. And I would hope my posts indicate that I'm hardly going to tell someone to be quiet just because they're voicing a negative opinion about his album or his clothes or whatever--it's not a fan board of blind worshippers. :) I just think that posting having frequent posts about how Adam's hedonistically savage behavior is tearing apart the fabric of American society and casting dark clouds of shame on our moral values is pointless, and it might be nice if a mod encouraged discussion to move on. You're a David Archuleta fan, right? It would be like if I went into his thread every few days to make posts about how I think his emphasis on doe-eyed innocence and child-like sexlessness is a sad reflection of a disturbing trend in American society towards false purity and the embrace of Wonderbread over creativity. That's on-topic, I guess, since it's related to David Archuleta--but after the fifth or sixth or seventh post ranting about it, wouldn't it start to seem kind of pointless? Just sayin'. :) (And I don't necessarily think that about David Archuleta, btw--just an example. I don't know much about him, but from what I've heard he has a really good voice) But I dunno, it was just an observation--it's not like anything said on this thread actually matters and one person's posts don't impede discussion, so carry on. :)

Olivan, there is positive and negative posted in EVERY thread here at Pulse. Everyone just has to learn not to take it personally. Hell I am a fan of Clay's this is nothing compared to previous Eras with his threads.

We agree on that. If I were saying this, you'd be right. After the AMA conert, I posted the Wall Street Journal piece and discussed it. Then I stopped posting. When he dissed Boyle, I got back to him. I said he was self-destructive--and he is. I said he likes to stir up controversy--and then complain about it. Both comments were appropriate--and current. Wouldn't bother anybody--since David's not arrogant and the girls find him plenty sexy. It's arrogance that kills careers. Ask Blake Lewis. Yes, if that were true. I only post when something is topical--like the Boyle talk. I'm not looking to annoy fans, but by the same token if he's going to get in our face, why shouldn't he expect some push-back?

^^ Huh?? You're having fun trolling the Adam threads today aren't you? Time to move along.
And SO HAPPY to hear he is doing Sleepwalker tonight on Leno. That song is fantastic live, and a smash waiting to happen, imo.

Can't wait to see how he changes up Sleepwalker tonight! Great choice!!

I'm torn because I really dislike Adam but absolutely adore "Sleepwalker"... I don't know, maybe I'll get the mp3 of his performance from somewhere.

Yuck.
IMO, "Sleepwalker" should pack an emotional punch, not a vocal punch. Didn't really like it live, but he had his moments. The stones, makeup, and having his nails done really turn me off...

Unplugged on VH1 March 10!!! sourcethe rest of the iheartradio performances are up too... go here and then scroll all the way to the bottom in the little panel on the right. If "Sleepwalker" gets released as a single, I hope there will be a radio edit. The album version drags for me...there's like 3 mini choruses lol. Yeah, I agree with you...it gets quite repetitive toward the end. I hope they don't mess with the guitar solo though! That makes it ~special imo. ETA this is cute! Kelly Rowland is also performing at Sydney's Mardi Gras, and she posted this pic of herself w/ Adam and wrote "OMG…I love Adam! We had so much fun chatting it up. It was my first time meeting him and Oohh I’m in love" ha. Kelly's site

I loved this performance! I never thought of "WWFM" as a song people can dance to but this was quite impressive and well done. Props for the male couple dancing in the background...can you imagine this being done on American TV ??? Also, the "Sleepwalker" iheartradio performance (http://www.z100.com/iplaylist/artist/1152615/) is even better than the Leno one...sounds and looks incredible!

The stones, makeup, and having his nails done really turn me off... Lol. I think these three things are essential to Adam Lambert's existence. I think Sleepwalker is by far more interesting live, but that's just me. If this ever becomes a single, I hope he seriously considers re-recording at least the ending so the chorus isn't so monotonous straight through. Actually, now that I think of it, I think Sleepwalker would be a smart choice for when he returns to Idol. It gets rock enough by the end that all of those who liked that about Adam last year will probably get into it. I just can't see those viewers getting into If I Had You (god forbid that turns into the single although it almost seems certain at this point).

Since he performed Sleepwalker on Leno, my guess is that it is the next single. It'd be so cool to see him performing that song on Idol.

Dunno if this is news or not here - I'm not an Adam fan - but saw this on the Express: Adam's pretty close to hitting #1 on the Hot AC chart in Canada. Would that be his first #1?

I think you're right, it'd be his first #1 :) Canada does love Adam, his album is #22 overall on Itunes (#8 in pop), WWFM is #7 and FYE is #63.
