Well, for what is worth, Vegas sold +1m, and TOY crossed 500k I think.

These are a few weeks old: Hot N Cold: 4,724,000 California Gurls: 4,560,000 I Kissed a Girl: 3,956,000 Teenage Dream: 3,255,000 This is from last week: Firework: 3,600,515 I don't like Katy Perry, but that's mightily impressive. Five songs - all with her as the main artist (yes, that's a stab at Rihanna) - all over 3 million and four of them will be over 4 million in a couple of months time. Crazy.

What does Rihanna have to do with Katy's chart history? Both of them are rotating #1s on the Hot 100. I'm sure a RiRi stan will not be afraid to lay out her chart history!

I'm still pissed/can't believe HNC didn't reach #1... It didn't even reach #1 on the digital chart, which makes those 4.7m even more impressive. It had better longevity than IKAG that spent like 10 weeks at #1 on the digital chart. Does anyone have numbers for If We Ever Meet Again and Starstrukk? Those two weren't really big in USA, but I recall them selling decently, specially If We Ever Meet Again.

The US is missing out on a lot of good songs it seems :'(

But it did have the advantage of being released before her album on i-tunes as opposed to HNC, which it's another impressive feat for that single :)

This is not fair at all. :( >:( Lady Gaga Overtakes Taylor Swift With 20 Million Downloads March 18, 2011 Lady Gaga has overtaken Taylor Swift as the highest-certified artist of digital singles with 20 million downloads. With a sales boost following her appearance at the Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga has received new certifications for "Just Dance" (6 million), "Poker Face" (5 million), "Bad Romance" (4 million), "Paparazzi" (3 million) and "Love Game" (2 million). Swift's current tally for digital singles is 18.5 million, just behind Rihanna at 19 million. The Black Eyed Peas, with sales of 17.5 million, are the group with the most RIAA-certified digital singles. www.cmt.com/news/news-in-brief/1660195/lady-gaga-overtakes-taylor-swift-with-20-million-downloads.jhtml

Yeah, if anything, Gaga has a huge lead on Taylor considering her under certifications.

It was about time, considering the underperformance of the Speak Now singles (not talking about their first weeks, but the rest of their runs have been underwhelming). GaGa on the other hand is still releasing digital smash after digital smash.

As has been said, both artists are under-certified. Taylor and Gaga had sold over 34 and 29 million digital tracks, respectively, by the end of 2010, according to SoundScan.
While RIAA has its place regarding album certifications, since they go way older, when it comes to overall digital sales, SoundScan is as good as it gets.

Little question, does anyone know if any of the previous JLo singles crossed 1m in downloads? I think OTF is most likely going to be her first song to do so, as her big hits are all pre-2005...

Again, "track" sales are different from "song" sales.
