Thought "Bleeding Love" would've hit 5 mil by now, that song was massive.

EJ TD as his best selling digital single. Not bad for a 40 year old song that peaked at 41! Great example of power of licensing - movies, commercials, etc.

Happy first birthday to "Rolling in the Deep." Seriously, who this time last year thought this would ever cross 6 million sales in the US?

As of the end of 2011:
7 million - 1 song (0) 6 million - 7 songs (1) 5 million - 22 songs (8) 4 million - 48 songs (31) 3 million - 120 songs (68) 2 million - 267 songs (206)
In parenthesis the amount by the end of 2010 for comparison.
Anyone who keeps records is around those values? Thanks.

I Gotta Feeling will definitely get to the 8M before summer's over. It's selling around 15K a week, right?

Sales by year:
IGF 2009 - 4.426 IGF 2010 - 2.201 IGF 2011 - 1.041

He probably counted RITD. If it hasn't crossed it yet, it will certainly in a few days.

^No, I have 6 too. I probably saw it wrongly when I made that post or typo'd it. As for 3 million, I found the mistake in my database. 118. Check. And now I have less for 2 million, 265 with that mistake corrected. Do you mind checking my list to see what is missing, gary? Thanks!

I thought alphabetical would be easier because you'll be checking the songs, not the totals. But here it is by sales: db.tt/pHdb4OH9You can just copy and paste on Excel and you can order it anyway you want. Or you can pm me your list and I can check for myself.

I love this thread. Interesting how the four songs that topped the 2009 year end billboard chart are the top four digital singles as well.

IGF is beyond amazing to me. The song isn't good at all, very basic and shitty, yet it manages to sell a milli 2 years after it was released. Glad for the numbers, wish it was another song..

IGF has a whole lot of love among the teen crowd, which I guess includes me. I, however, can't stand the song. Not catchy at all until the chorus.

I like fun jams, but it's so repetitive and it's got a slow tempo.
