Close perhaps Through December '09 the top 2 1 Taylor Swift 24329000 2 Rihanna 23577000 I had forgotten about Rihanna (probably because of her lackluster era), but "Rude Boy" had sold 2,079,000 as of two weeks ago, bringing her total to at least 25,565,000. So she may be still ahead overall, you're right. Also impressive how Taylor's catalog sales are strong. She hasn't had a huge this year, yet she added 4 million to her total in just 6 months.

Yes! Fergie really had an amazing solo era, I miss solo her :( Funny that her first single(usually the one that get's huge downloads)is her least biggest seller.

The numbers we have for "I got a feeling" mean that next week it will give the Black Eyed Peas the first ever 6m digital seller in the US, as for sure the track is selling in excess of 10k every week. Pretty amazing, first time ever I heard the song I knew it would be a smash for them, but in Europe, I didn't expect the US to be this much into that track.
"I got a feeling" reminds me of the kind of music France was getting in the 80's, same kind of lyrics about partying and music style production. It's not that very surprising though when you know it was produced by french DJ David Guetta. And all those french 80's classics had the same kind of success, played at parties, on tv, on sports events, stayed at the top for months and to this days while radio rarely play those songs, they are still very popular and played at parties and danced to like in the old time. "Tik Tok", "I got a feeling", "California Girls" really reminds me of that. Their lyrics are pretty simple, about partying, the words rythm are distressing but they are very festive and are in no way meant to be taken seriously. they are feel-good songs. "I got a feeling" is here to stay in my opinion. And it's going to be a party anthem for long.

Fergie's solo era was awful in my opinion. I liked them all back in the day, but now I really don't like any of those songs except for Clumsy. Anyways, that's just an opinion. Chart-wise, it was handled flawlessly until 'Finally' and that single I don't recall right now that was from the Sex and the City movie. Is Poker Face currently outselling Boom Boom Pow? Same questin for Just Dance and Low... I'd like to see them go higher. itunes: Just Dance - 98 Poker Face - 74 Low - Not Charting in the Top 200 Boom Boom Pow - 127 Some more numbers: 51. I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas 54. Tik Tok - Ke$ha 136. I'm Yours - Jason Mraz 182. Love Story - Taylor Swift 260. Low (feat. T-Pain) - Flo Rida 455. Apologize - OneRepublic Looks like 'Tik Tok' will eventually catch up to JD, PF & BBP.
