Though I don’t particularly care for Unholy, it looks like it has 34 million streams after only 4 days!
Not sure how many of those are in the US, but it looks like Kim might get her first charting single in the US!
I wish she released the cancelled album. I didn’t like slut pop at all.

Looks like from the Problematique she kept the already released Coconuts, Hit It From The Back (finally free from being in jail for like 2 years despite performing live at the EMA's with Coconuts), and Revelations. A shame she didn't keep Confessions but otherwise she kept the other 2 best unreleased tracks from that scrapped project. I'm very intrigued by the BANKS collab but also scared that it might be garbage cause I don't see how they would mix on a song.
Anyways here's to hoping she hits the mark with her "official" debut album.

BAIT with Banks didn't quite work for me upon several listens. It sounds mostly like a BANKS song with Kim doing background vocals and adlibs, because I can hardly hear Kim at all.

This album is REALLY solid. Definitely her best body of work since TOTL. The reviewers giving this a poor score are honestly smoking crack. It’s giving transphobia.

I really enjoyed this project even though I'm sure it could've been better, 'Alone' remains trash and even though I like it I don't understand what 'Coconuts' is doing on the tracklist over some of her other releases ☠️

I was afraid this was gonna sound rushed/thrown together but it really doesn’t. This is solid! Most of my favorites are song that were previously released/leaked but a lot of the new tracks are incredible too. “Minute” is one of my favorite songs released this year easily.

This is a good pop album (just like her previous mixtapes) but lacking any clear vision or depth. The Ava Max comparison is on point. I was kinda hoping for some storytelling moment somewhere in this album, but it never happened.

I think the critics are being a tad harsh, but I also see where they're coming from. Kim has slowly been getting blander and losing her POV. I think going to a major label was a bizarre choice and this definitely feels like an album sanded down by record execs. It's one of those cases where you try to please everyone and possibly end up pleasing nobody.
But that all aside, it's a very fun, catchy, glossy pop album and there aren't any total busts on it IMO (although Unholy has no business on here, lol). It's just a tad faceless, which makes the Ava Max comparisons spot on. But there are far worse crimes than not having a strong identity, especially if the music is catchy. And there are some straight-up killer pop songs on here.
I do think Problematique had a more singular vision/sound, very similar to Ava's latest and I wish they had just trimmed that to the best tracks and released it.
