sounds a bit like "breakin dishes" still better than her last album, by far. not quite as good as All For You singles though.

I still like DRM, AFY and STCML better than this but I think I like this better than anything from DJ or 20YO except maybe "All Nite". I'll have to wait and see...
But in any case, "Feedback" is hot so that's all that matters right now! :)

I'm thinking that has to probably be it... the last song from Janet I remember hearing on a pop station is "Just A Little While" but I'm pretty sure that didn't peak that high.

'Feedback' is pretty good. Ain't no 'Gimme More' but it's way hotter than everything on 20 Y.O.
Should be interesting to see how this does on pop!!

So "crossover" means it's going to be sent to Pop stations as well?
Did Virgin even attempt to send any of the 20YO singles to pop?

I'm thinking that has to probably be it... the last song from Janet I remember hearing on a pop station is "Just A Little While" but I'm pretty sure that didn't peak that high. Actually, JALW was getting lots of airplay on Pop.. and was racing up the charts- but that all ended after the Superbowl shit.

From About.com's Top 40/Pop Blog:
Janet Jackson Is Back With "Feedback"...And It's Hot! Wednesday December 12, 2007
Things were a bit rugged for Janet Jackson with the release of her last album 20 Y.O. back in the fall of 2006. The album's sales were the weakest since her 1984 pre-Control album Dream Street. However, a first listen to Janet's new single "Feedback" and all of that seems swept away. Jackson and her romantic partner/producer Jermaine Dupri have claimed they were looking to record club-oriented music for her upcoming album due in February or March 2008. The album is being recorded without Janet's long-term collaborators/producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. If "Feedback" is any indication, she may have hit a musical home run.

This track is indeed strong and superior the generic fluff she's been putting out the last couple of albums. Hopefully it can help her album gain some traction and make Janet relevant once again. It would be awesome to see her and Madonna ruling the charts and airwaves again in 2008.
