Man I love Alter Bridge and think Creed are mediocre at best, and I've voted for "Isolation" every round against other AB songs so I wonder which I'm gonna pick...

What If

That's right. As much as I kinda dislike Creed (especially their singles), "What If" was an absolute tour de force. That guitar intro and the general feel of the song are both awesome. And that song embodied what was cool and distinctive about the 'Human Clay' sound even if the two biggest singles from that era didn't. "What If" edges out the also great "Isolation" for me.

How is "Remember" getting beaten THAT badly. "Remember" is SO good. I guess "Stricken" was a pretty rough first round pairing though because it's a pretty damn likable song as well.

Both songs are excellent. "Stricken" has that some extra that wins it for me, though. Probably why "Stricken" was a lead single and "Remember" a follow-up. "Prayer"/"Stricken" would be an interesting one.

I was going into this competition saying, "I'm definitely voting for "Remember", it deserves it", but to be paired up with "STRICKEN"!? One of my fav pump up hard rock songs? No, sorry "Remember", but "Stricken" has the edge. If it were paired up with anything else besides "Inside the Fire" (cause Disturbed says my name in it!), it would get my vote.

Anyway, I don't usually contribute to these tournaments, but I looked this one over. I totally tripped up over "Remember" vs. "Stricken" because those are arguably my two favorite Disturbed songs and it's such a shame that one of 'em has to go in the first round. And, yes, it's a painful decision, but I'd have to tip the scale to "Stricken" if I were actually participating.

^Yeah, given it appears that "Stricken" will beat "Remember", I'll be voting "Stricken" over anything else in the lower half of the bracket. There are a couple songs in the upper half that I'd have to at least think about though. "Remember" would have been my automatic vote every round. It's their only single that has ever compelled me to buy one of their albums.
