Well they had three top 5 dance hits and they managed to do that without being good, whereas Cage The Elephant had two top 10 alternative hits because they are good, which is far less impressive. The Ting Tings probably sold more records, too.

Is this song seriously about to hit #1?

it could happen tomorrow or the day after. I'm shocked it's doing better on Alternative than Ain't No Rest For The Wicked

I didn't think it would do this well.

Is this song seriously about to hit #1? Ugh. I was afraid of this. I've been burned out on this song since last year. And it wasn't even that good to begin with....

I thought it would slow down by the time In One Ear goes to radio.

I find nothing wrong with it hitting #1.

I've tried so hard but for whatever reason every song i hear from them feels like a puzzle that the pieces don't fit together quite right. I can't really put my finger on it. I mean, this song's not bad by any means but it doesn't grip me to make me want to hear it again. For some reason it feels like it would have fit in with the late 90's stuff really well. Especially the guitar solo. They feel like Everclear, Big Sugar and the Headstones had a love child.
I was not, in any way, impressed by Aint No Rest For The Wicked.

Another one that took its sweet time climbing up the chart. This will be its 30th week.

And if not for this reaching #1 it'd be "Uprising" back up there again, lol.
"Ain't No Rest" is so much more memorable than this. Really weak #1 in terms of spin totals too, although that's exactly what I said during Uprising's first week there and there's no need to tell the rest of that story. And I can't believe it's been thirty weeks coming. If I had to guess the WOC total I would have guessed 12.

I just hope it doesn't stay there for too long.

I don't see what could possibly take it out, except for "Resistance," which is still down at #9.

I just wish it had been "Savior" which had this kind of run to top spot. Well, atleast different artists are topping Alt, unlike Active.

This song really doesn't deserve #1.

Well, this solidifies Cage the Elephant as more than an one hit-wonder.

It's official, this is the #1 that absolutely no one cared about.
Seven months later, I finally like this, but really, it's nothing to go ga-ga over. I think something like "Just Breathe" should be reaching here, but what are you gonna do.

Does anyone else think the song and video just scream "late 90's"?

^The opening sounds like Nirvana to me. I'd rather "1901" stay on top.
