Maybe we can take "Yeah" 's discussion out of "Burn" 's topic ;) (What a dramatic change of events from his last return single, "Pop Ya Collar") I dunno...didn't Pop Ya Collar debut at or near its peak of #60?

If it weren't for "Pop Ya Collar," this would be his worst single. It's not horrible, but I don't really love it.

Man, I hope this doesn't suck. For me, Usher is one of the few rhythmic/urban artists that puts out consistently good stuff. Adam's comment in the other topic about Lil' Jon's screaming has me a bit worried, though.

It's not bad. The screaming isn't nearly as bad as it was on "Get Low", so it doesn't bother me that much.

I'd think you'd say that's something I save for Hector.

I'd think you'd say that's something I save for Hector. No need to include me into this, I have nothing to do with that...

It's not as good as I was hoping for it to be, but it's decent.

Any chance that Usher and his camp will change their minds and indeed go ahead with this as the first single off "Confessions"?
The album drops on March 19th which is roughly 2 months away, meaning the lead single should be out well....NOW (True, they still could get away with labelling "Yeah" as a heater for the mixtapes and clubs, but then they'd have to release a whole new lead single in about 2-3 weeks and it would seem weird, since Yeah seems to be getting alot of love right now, Hot Shot Debut at #53 on the Hot 100? I know it's the slowest year of the week on the Hot 100, and next week and the week after will truly tell how popular 'Yeah' is, but its the fastest gainer at Rhythmic or Urban, I forget, in the plus 600's as of yesterday, more than doubling its closest competitor...and it's the holiday season.
It's even making early, small waves on Pop.
I wonder if they will just go ahead and shoot a video for Yeah, promote it full force, as the album release is getting closer, 2 months isn't an awfully long time.
I love the song, for the record. I listened to it on my burnt CD earlier today after hearing it on Flow 93.5's Mid-Day Mixdown. I made that CD for New Year's Eve, and that night I wasn't really feeling the song, but....meh.....I think a video would only make me like it more, sicne Usher's videos are usually good and well put together, especially his uptempos.

It sounds like all the other Lil' Jon, Youngbloodz, Chingy type music. Not completely... I mean Lil' Jon adds an aura to the song I can do without, but I hate all the artists you mentioned, and their songs, and really like "Yeah"

Ya that's true, the YoungBloodZ and Chingy are rap artists where Usher is an R&B singer...
yea the 'beat' may sound like YoungBloodz, etc. because Lil' Jon produced it, but...meh

The beat is typical Lil' Jon. If you don't hear that, clean your ears. Of course it doesn't sound exactly like Lil' Jon. You're comparing a soul vocalist to a rapper.

Rhythmic. It is also the greatest on Urban, but not by much. (Ironically, the 2nd greatest on Urban is Ludacris himself)

I just heard this today and I must say, it is BAD. This is as bad as Get Low AND Salt Shaker. >:(
Usher's part isn't very good, but without Lil Jon, this could at least be subpar. But noooo...Lil Jon aggravates the situation. Luda is the only one who sounds halfway decent.
A FINGER OF SHAME to Usher for making this pile of dung. >:(
(I don't give a finger to Lil Jon, for he has yet to appear on anything redeeming at all.)

Well have you heard "Play No Games" that I like by Lil' Jon and the East Side Boyz featuring Fat Joe, Trick Daddy, and Oobie? It's the one that sounds different out of their five singles from their last two regular albums. I don't like the other four.
