I love how her name's first on the poster yet she's not in the picture. That's not her in the wedding dress?

Not like she nor they did anything to promote BIBO anyway.

Ugh disappointed.
The roll out of "Sparks" made NO SENSE. It should have 100% been sent to pop radio. It sounded like such a massive hit. But I still wanted her to stick with a major, cause I don't see her trying to release stuff independently. She needs that major label support. Hopefully she lands somewhere else; Breathe In. Breathe Out. is a high quality dance-pop album that should have found more success.

Does anyone else follow her on Snapchat? She's been in studio recently (she "laid down some vocals" a week ago too). There's a snippet of a new song in something she posted yesterday.
Maybe I was too down on Hil's motivation for music without a major label (BIBO was recorded mostly without a label wasn't it?). Maybe she really is gonna keep on keeping on.

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie Are Back Together (EXCLUSIVE) May 25, 2016 12:28PM Two years after announcing their split, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are giving their marriage another shot, In Touch has exclusively learned. “They’ve decided to put their differences aside and make things work for the sake of [their four-year-old son] Luca. They’re going to make the announcement in the next few weeks,” a source close to the 28-year-old actress says of the couple, who was snapped kissing in Beverly Hills on May 15. “Their relationship has been rocky over the years — and that’s why they’re going to take things slow — but they’ve come to the conclusion that they truly can’t live without each other.”

I'm torn. I've always had a soft spot for Hilary, but for me it's hard to determine if I really anticipate new music from her rn. Her last album era was a huge, frustrating disappointment. It was over already before I really got a chance to even pick up my favorites... rn I'm good w/ Metamorphosis & Dignity.

^^No. Next time I just would like to see Hilary give a damn about her own album. Is it too much to ask for?

Breathe Out. should count for something. It's not always about the commercial success when the actual product is very good. (Granted, she's not making high art. But she did make a fun, cohesive, and thoroughly enjoyable pop album!)

For me, personally, Breathe In. Breathe Out. was just... not very good. That, and her lack of interest in promoting it, totally killed anything going for her. 'Sparks' was about the only thing I liked from it.
Her contract with RCA may have only been for this album, which explains why they dropped her so soon/nobody seemed invested in putting the time in. If she goes indie, I think scattered singles and EPs would smart, or at least work for her budget wise, but I doubt we'll get another proper album or see her have another hit.

If commercial success determined whether I care for Hilary, I'd be over her years ago... and I'm not. BIBO is a good album, but that's not the point. She regularly posted pics from the studio, wrote about her excitement... and then treated this album as a side project. Disappointing. _______________ ...she's talking again: As for the vibe of the new music, it's slightly different than her last album. "It's a bit of a darker tone," she explained. "The one I teased [on Snapchat] is called 'Tied to You.' It has a little big of a heavier, darker sound. But it changes all the time." x

That would be disappointing but not surprising. I'd love a yearly/biannual EP from her though. That way she can try her different sounds (like when she wanted to do folk-pop for a hot minute) and give us releases relatively easily.

I'm curious if we'll ever see music from Hilary again. I can maybe see some one-off singles, but I think this is the last major label deal she'll have. I'm grateful RCA gave her a chance though, she put out a great album, and it was a nice treat for the fans to get another album from her. I really thought 'Sparks' was incredible and was her chance to have a real radio smash and after it failed to take off, I realized her commercial appeal is limited to the long-term fans. I do blame RCA for the ridiculous roll-out plan, that horrendous idea to turn the video into a Tinder commercial, and holding it back from Pop radio, they were morons with the handling of the whole project. But sadly, I don't think another label will take a chance on her. Unless she decides to do a singer/songwriter type record when she's in her 30s (which I don't think her voice is right for that kind of genre), I don't see another pop career for her :( I'll always cherish her discography though, I loved her music so much.

Well it was just confirmed Scooter is her new manager, and she's now featured on his website scooterbraun.com/musicScooter Braun Management (“SB Management”) is a talent management company that is more than just a company. It is a family. Leveraging Scooter Braun's reputation and influence within the music and entertainment industries, Scooter Braun and the SB Management team work around the clock to put its clients in a position to make their dreams come true. While nothing comes easy, SB Management has an established track record of helping its clients achieve worldwide fame and commercial success within a short period of time after working together. Our work includes Ariana Grande, Asher Roth, Black Eyed Peas, CL, Dan + Shay, EDEN, Hilary Duff, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Karlie Kloss, The Knocks, Lil Dicky, Martin Garrix, Moxie Raia, PSY, Rixton, Sheppard, Steve Angello, Todrick Hall, Tori Kelly, Usher, Vic Mensa, and more. I feel like he could easily land her deal with Repbulic or another label, if she's not still with sony.

I have this feeling she was more upset about the way RCA handled Breathe In. Breathe Out. than we gave her credit for. She signed with Scooter and was quickly back in the studio after BIBO. so I wouldn't be surprised if we see music from her sooner than any of us expect.
(Also just wanna say "My Kind" is one of my favorite songs in her discography now kbai)

Sparks, Confetti, and My Kind were all A+ pop records. RCA just dropped the ball.

Scooter Brown? Hm. I'm half-excited, half-terrified. But I hope it's for the better.

I am so ready for what the rest of the year and 2017 is going to bring us with this Hilary/Scooter partnership. Most important thing is almost all of his artists get pushed on radio.
I think he will focus on reestablishing her in the US before going international. She is already well known, it's just pushing the promo and getting her on radio will be his challenge.
I can see him getting Justin to write with her, I wouldn't even mind a collab tbh.

Recent news: Flock of Dudes will open in select theaters this Friday, and hit VOD in October. New trailer: Younger season three will premiere this Wednesday! She somewhat confirmed her new relationship with fitness trainer Jason Walsh:

Hilary Duff Is ‘Cherishing the Now’ with One Child: ‘I’ll Probably Get Some Evil Spawn’ of Myself NextBy Jen Juneau @wordswithjen Posted on March 15, 2017 at 12:25pm EDT Hilary Duff isn’t shutting the door on having more children, but for right now, she’s in a different phase of her life. “I’ve gotten over the fact that I’m not going to have a baby that’s close in age with Luca,” the Younger star, 29, told Redbook about her son, who turns 5 on Monday, for the magazine’s April cover story. “It sucked when everyone would be like, ‘When are you having another?’ ” adds Duff, whose divorce from former NHL star Mike Comrie was finalized in 2016. “I’d be like, ‘Do you know what’s happening right now? I’m not having another.’ ” “I’m cherishing the now,” she continues, joking, “Besides, watch: I’ll probably get some evil spawn of Hilary the next time around.” Even with one child, though, the Lizzie McGuire alum has her work cut out for her in being a working parent. Like many moms, there’s one very poignant emotion she has trouble shaking. “I always feel torn or guilty about something,” she admits. “I’m not working right now, and at first I stressed about that, like, ‘Oh, I shouldn’t stay still this long.’ ” “And that’s ridiculous,” Duff continues. “I have a child; it’s totally fine to not be slammed all the time. It feels really good to not be on someone else’s schedule — besides Luca’s. I’m basically his chauffeur!” The actress and singer was recently spotted spending Valentine’s Day in Costa Rica with new beau Matthew Koma — a trip both Duff and the musician, 29, shared sweet photos from. But between alone time with Koma, Duff is still juggling co-parenting with Comrie, which is something she’s candid about the perks of. “Some of my friends tell me, “God, it must be so nice, you get a break from your kid because you share him,’ ” she says. “I’m divorced, and it sucks.” “Well, it did suck for a while; now it’s just normal,” she clarifies. “But it’s true, I do get a break. I had Luca by myself for a few weeks, no help, when Mike was on the road, and when he got home I was like, ‘He’s yours! Bye!’ “
