This account is from a program at a university. A class is taught based on charts, music, etc. Each student gets access to Mediabase charts, a Billboard subscription, etc.

Can someone explain to me how the real-time charts work? I'm a little confused about how to read it.
For example, today Kelly had a +111 spin gain. But on this chart it says she had the same amount of spins on Thursday and Friday. How is that possible?

What is the difference between quick cut and the song's history? Because if you look at song history it says plays from 98, but that's way off from quick cut.
Ex. Smooth quick cut:1,251,398
history : 780,109
is quick cuts w/ recurrent spins? or something?

Username: UCLA Password: class Uh oh. It's not letting me in anymore with this username and password. Is this because Mediabase is now closed for their holiday break or because UCLA is on semester break? FYI I did get to enjoy this site quite a bit over the past month, so it would not be a huge deal if I can't get back in. But I would like to see the final year-end data on January 1st. Otherwise I will be more than content with the official charts that have already been released and the Allaccess top 50 year-end charts that I can access from their site. |

I would guess it's because that class has come to an end with the end of the semester.
It was fun to get a look at the data available to people in the industry.
