It's basically the same song with some rap on it... Hmm, just how I imagined. You'd think Mariah would try something different with those two seeing that they're singles now, LOL. But of course not. I never cared about the remix project from the beginning anyway. I have heard most remixes once in my PC and didn't even bother to download them. When I buy the album I will probably not even bother opening it. This is *REALLY* mediocre, and kind of a hoax if you ask me... they want to charge us fans again for something we basically already bought.

I love how people bicker over who is the "biggest selling female artist of all-time". LMAO. Once you sell as massively as Mariah, Madonna, etc. have, it really doesn't f**king matter if one has sold 150 million when the other has sold 170 million. Either way, that is a s**tload of units shifted. More than most artists will ever sell in a lifetimes; especially with sales in the crapper more than ever. I agree with you here. It's just that releasing a PR that titles you 'the biggest female singer of all time' is very delicate. It comes off as desperate, especially knowing that she's not the one. Anyway, I am not hating on anybody here and sorry for those who are bothered with all this.. I just find it fun and some people here are really over the top :) Do you even have proof that Mariah releases a PR saying she is the biggest selling female artist of all time?? Cause i need some kind of documentation that states ur claim is fact Until Then....Stop reaching, its annoying

Please re-record at least ONE set of vocals for one of the songs on this project or I will not be purchasing it.

These remixes (outside H.A.T.E.U) are a complete joke. Did she think only adding other artists to each song would bring up record sales? She better recognize.

Send Oprah a letter. Either stop complaining or do something about it. What a baby.

Does it affect you that much that she thinks of herself as the best-selling female? You're acting as though it causes you physical pain.

Sincerely, Frustrated Lamb #1 H.A.T.E.U. & Candy Bling have re-recorded vocals & different production, and UOMF didn't need to be changed i'm glad they just added Nicki hopefully "Angels Cry" will be canceled all together and they just go with UOMF

The last Candy Bling Remix I heard did not have re-recorded vocals. HATEU's Remix vocals were recorded along with the album... which means Mariah has NOT re-recorded any vocals for this project

I too was hoping for something different on the remixes, but the songs are amazing in the first place. I actually really love the AC remix. I think the addition of Ne-Yo's voice makes the song much more epic. I've also always love the Obsessed remix as Gucci really reworks the song into a much darker, heavier, and in-your-face package. And the HATE U remix is one of the best of her career. As for UOMF, if they really are going to release it as a single, it's probably for the best that they didn't change it much. That song is hot regardless.
BTW, I really don't think they're just trying to sell us the same thing twice with this album. To me, the remixes for Obsessed, Candy Bling, HATE U, and AC are all different songs from the original. I won't say the same for Inseparable or UOMF, but whatevs. From what I've heard so far, I'm really looking forward to this album. (Don't forget there are 4 new songs as well!)

Also, we shouldn't be too surprised. A lamb at FOMM posted this article that came out months ago regarding the remix album:
"It's hard to please everyone, but Mariah Carey is setting out to do just that with a retooled version of her latest album, and she's brought along some famous friends. After we broke the news of the songbird's plans to remix Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Tricky Stewart filled us in on a few more details.
The "Obsessed" producer wouldn't quite categorize the work in progress as a remix album. "They've said that it's a remix album, but really what it is is a features album. [The songs] won't necessarily be remixed," Tricky once again told Rap-Up.com. "It's just an album of features, really cool features on the exact same album."
According to Tricky, 90 percent of the record will contain a featured guest, while there's a small possibility of one or two all-new tracks. The as-yet-untitled project will go by the Memoirs title. "It will be the same name, but it will probably have something to it. I'm not sure what they're going to call it, but it's the same album."
The goal is to appeal to all of Carey's fans. "We wanted to do an album that was really personal, and if you love Mariah Carey, you can put it on and listen to it all day," began Tricky, "but at the same time, if you like the hot Mariah when she's doing the features, we want to give people that option too, so that they can put on whichever one they choose."
So far the lineup looks promising with T-Pain Auto-Tuning on "Candy Bling," the Southern hip-hop trio of Big Boi, Gucci Mane, and OJ Da Juiceman rapping on "H.A.T.E.U.," and Trey Songz crooning on "Inseparable." Tricky also revealed to Rap-Up.com that R. Kelly appears on the opening cut "Betcha Gon' Know."
No release date has been set for the project.

There are re-recorded vocals for Candy Bling? I just remember that wack T-Pain mess. I will have to go search for that. I like the UOMF remix but why did they remove some of my favorite Mariah adlibs on the song? Oh well. Here's hoping this does well!

Also, even if you do see this as just a re-release, what's so wrong with that? Everyone re-releases their albums these days. This album needs new life breathed into it. It deserves a second chance. A lot of the people who bought Memoirs (such as myself) will definitely be picking it up, and if the singles do any kind of good, I imagine some people who didn't buy Memoirs will buy this. That's the whole point of a re-release. If the whole features thing isn't your cup of tea, you can just ignore it and keep listening to the original album.
I like to think of it in terms of some of Mariah's other remixes. For example, I love the ABMB So So Def Mix, but I don't like the one with Da Brat on it. However, I'm not upset that Da Brat's on the song because there's a version of the song without her on it. I have a choice of which one I want to listen to.

After giving the UOMF remix a few proper listens, I can say I really love it! Nicki has a really unique voice and I love her parts! I also love how she whispers and whatnot throughout the song. Reminds me of Gucci's part on the Obsessed remix. She really seems like she's a part of the song and not just tacked on which is what I like.

I don't think people are getting the real concept "Angels Advocate". The main goal isn't to totally remix the album with random techno mixes, it's just to sort of update the songs with something fresh so people can be interested in Mariah's work again.

I dont get why ppl have such a hard time swallowing the fact that people say Mariah is biggest selling female artist... In The US? or WW.. Either way it doesnt really matter cuz MiMi is only behind what 100,00? or whatever it is... Give her 10 more years in the biz. I will garuntee she WILL be The Biggest Selling Female Recording Artist In History. I think they say that because they Kno that she is still VERY current.. and Shes FAAAAR from Over.. Where Madonna??? Watever I love Them Both.. Im just Saying I see Why Ppl would say That.. Regardless. Some of You Act Like Someone Jus Lit up the bible or some shit.. Damn.

The features album should have been released at the same time as the regular, if the purpose really is what Tricky says it is. Obviously it's not, which explains why it's coming out now.

I like the UOMF Remix more than the original for sure. Nicki Minaj adds this something to it. In the case of Angels Cry, I kinda feel like in some ways, Ne-Yo takes away from it. I'm much happier with the UOMF remix than the Angels Cry remix. I still think that the Candy Bling Remix is the best remix, followed by Hate U, which unfortunately failed to gain traction. Honestly, if the Hate U remix didn't make it, I don't think any of these remixes will. They should just go with a new track!
Part of the reason they probably didn't want to change it too much is so that it could count as the same album. So if they sell the Remix album, it will count as sales for Memoirs, so it won't look as bad on paper maybe? It would make sense to do this, so it looks like her album sales haven't slipped.

I don't think they will count the sales as the same when the new album will have a completely different title and possibly different cover as well. Also, I don't think remix albums have been combined in the past (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).

Are we really trying to turn 686k WW into a success story? Really? I think anyone with half a brain would agree this era hasn't been a success in the least (aside from Obsessed). As far as US album sales are concerned, I am sure the label has already shipped 500,000 copies to stores; the huge jump on the Billboard 200 can easily be explained by the Christmas albums falling post-holiday. At the rate it's selling now, it will be quite a while before it reaches 500k sold in the US. Since she made this album "for the fans" and supposedly wasn't too concerned with whether or not it was successful I hope next time around she creates some high-quality material that is built to succeed on radio. Will, nobody said that in the context of it being a "success story", as you put it. Someone said something about not crossing 500k worldwide, and someone else pointed out that it had, in fact, done so. Also, why are you implying that Memoirs is not quality product? You yourself indicated that you liked it in your review of it when it was released. There are lots of great albums that don't become big hits, and it looks like Memoirs will be one of them. Memoirs has gotten some of the best critical notice Mariah has ever garnered. The press has kind of begun to spin it as "underrated" rather than a "flop". I will say, personally, that I simultaneously think it is a great album and can see why it isn't a commercial success.

I like the UOMF remix, but I'm shocked that Mariah put little to no effort into this at all. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Ugh, I'm so disappointed...

I don't get why people are disappointed. Mariah just released a brand new album 4 months ago. She's touring, sounding good and releasing a "features" album that most of you will just steal for free off the internet anyway. Spoiled brats I tell ya.
