i think Pick U Up needs to be released at some point. The chorus is awesome!!! A lot of people seem to love PUU (me included) but Adam seldomly talks about the song. He apparently constructed the bridge in the end, hence the writing credit. He mentioned in an interview recently that he was never really a big Wheezer fan but that Greg Wells showed him this track that he had been working on with Rivers. I love it, it's a great sing-along song!

Kworb, I see on the mediabase 7-day chart that WWFM is only getting spun at 121 stations, which seems to be less than the songs around it (129-136 stations). Closest in #stations is one republic at #25. Do you still think the song can make top10 with these stats?

The # of stations is deceptive anyway because even one play a week will count that station as playing it. WWFM's station coverage isn't much worse than the songs around it, he is just unlucky in the sense that most of the stations that haven't added him also don't play any syndicated countdown shows.

This has really grown on me. Much better than the first single release.

i think Pick U Up needs to be released at some point. The chorus is awesome!!! PUU would probably be my choice if he's fortunate enough for a fifth single which I believe is unlikely. I think he'll get four if WWFM continues to do well and his next single does okay. I'd go with the following singles: 1. FYE 2. WWFM 3. IIHY 4. Sleepwalker 5. PUU

I think Fever should be a single as well... and Music Again! Otherwise I agree with you!

He's not going to have that many singles more than likely. RCA will probably want him to move on to the next album by then. I can conceivably see either of those or PUU as his final single though.

I think Sleepwalker makes sense as his next smashing single, i cant see too many people in middle america connecting with PUU.
Anyways, sales updates for Idols:
Carrie Underwood, Play On (30,000, +65 percent, 1.293 million) Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (13,000, -13 percent, 505,000) Daughtry, Leave This Town (12,000, +26 percent, 928,000) Kris Allen, Kris Allen (5,000, +11 percent, 255,000) Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts (5,000, +32 percent, 6.933 million) Carrie Underwood, Carnival Ride (4,000, +37 percent, 3.06 million) Daughtry, Daughtry (4,000, +14 percent, 4.63 million) Kelly Clarkson, All I Ever Wanted (3,000, +12 percent, 832,000)
ADAM IS OFFICIALLY OVER THE HALF MIL MARK!! GOLD!! Carrie Underwood saw huge increases from Grammys.

PUU is definitely one of his best vocals. The bridge is killer but I love the last note as well. I had some concerns about his ability to support his lower register but he proved me wrong. I also believe the laugh at the end is much welcomed. You can tell he probably had fun recording it.

Both LLWD and WWFM got good updates today, so I wouldn't count on WWFM passing LLWD anytime soon. Both guys are doing quite well with their singles right now, which is good to see.
POP: 22 19 ADAM LAMBERT Whataya Want From Me 3261 2740 521 22.544 +59 Spins -15 Bullet +0.284 AI
17 17 KRIS ALLEN Live Like We’re Dying 4098 3749 349 25.528 +34 Spins +9 Bullet +0.594 AI
oh, and congrats to Adam for his album officially going gold!!!

I don't see "Pick U UP" as a single at all. It's one of my least played tracks off the album.

Cumulus is a conservative company. The fact that he is gay is an issue. We should push Cumulus! it sucks that they own big stations like KRBE in Houston and Q100 in Atlanta... WWWQ added "Carry Out," "In My Head," "Blah Blah Blah," and "Bedrock" yesterday.. they added every song around him but WWFM. >:( At least the update today was great. :)

Idol Track Sales:
Kris Allen, Live Like We're Dying (57,000, -10 percent, 806,000) Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (49,000, -17 percent, 373,000) Carrie Underwood, Cowboy Casanova (34,000, 0 change, 1.117 million) Daughtry, Life After You (30,000, -14 percent, 370,000) Carrie Underwood, Temporary Home (25,000, +46 percent, 170,000) Kelly Clarkson, Already Gone (20,000, -13 percent, 1.208 million) Fantasia, Even Angels (10,000, debut, 10,000) Jordin Sparks, Battlefield [Main Version] (9,000, -19 percent, 1.37 million)
Only Carrie Underwood saw a week over sales gain this week, still riding her boost from the Grammys. Kris Allen is projected to pass 1mil in 3-4 weeks, and Adam should be Gold in 2-3 weeks.

MTV Unplugged would have made more sense, although usually that is for more established artists as well. VH1 is requiring people to submit photos to apply for tickets to the acoustic concert... which I find hilarious.

Yes, complaining to radio stations is always a great idea. well complaining maybe isnt the right word, but why shouldnt viewers voice their opinions? We create their marketing dollars and keep them in business.... since when did consumers become afraid to voice their thoughts? If it was one station not playing him, i wouldnt care... however, when they are blatantly ignoriing him, across stations nationwide, thats an issue. Just sayin' -- but, the link was mostly a joke. I didnt expect anybody to call.

All Cumulus stations play the same exact songs. And they've been doing this for awhile. They very well may have built up a base of listeners that tend to like certain types of songs or artists over other types of songs or artists, regardless of whether the station is located in the north or south, because they all play the same music. Maybe WWFM didn't play well with that base of listeners, as a whole.

Exactly, especially when other stations in the same markets (like the HAC station in Houston and WSTR in Atlanta) are spinning it and giving it nice spins, and their base of listeners is probably similiar to the Cumulus stations in those markets. Cumulus haven't added him yet and maybe never will imo only because he's gay.

My point was maybe the Cumulus base of listeners isn't the same as stations in the same area. There are 3 AC stations here, but each one has a slightly different type of audience, and they all have slightly different types of playlists.
