Looks like Adam will be performing this on Oprah. The taping is definitely the 13th, and the rumored air date is the 29th (Oprah and Adam's shared birthday).
Oh, and the other guest is SuBo, lol. At least ratings should be great!

Liking this song more and more. He's less grating as well, although, for me, still not half as likable as he was during AI.

New York has an effect for sure. Maybe he'll get going off of pure hype, it's worked for Kesha. At least we know Adam CAN sing.

Yeah the freeze is officially over now. A lot more spin movement today for every song. Jason Derulo will probably pass this but after that the only way is up.

He was #1 in their noon countdown on Tuesday, #2 in their noon countdown yesterday, and #1 again today. I hope New York puts him in power rotation soon and I hope other stations follow.

Ke$ha has an album cut with no radio play at the top of iTunes. Her success is fueling her hype.
This needs to show some more strength on iTunes to convince me it will really explode on Top 40. It may not go top 10 as I originally thought.

Both Kris and Adam's songs seem to be slow burners iTunes wise, if I remember correctly Kris was even lower on iTunes at this point, now look where he is. Once this song's AI goes up it should go up on iTunes, and definitely after his performance(s) on Oprah. :) P.S. Chillax, the music video for this hasn't even come out yet.

I don't think LLWD is going to Top Ten on Pop either. It'll be interesting to see how the video impacts on sales.

^ This song over all has moved up the charts faster and has sold better comparitively (seeing as LLWD has been out for twice as long, of course LLWD has sold way more because it's been out since september.)
ETA: Music video's really seem to affect this guy's sales, he is definitely a visual artist and FYE the song still hasn't completely died because of it.

LLWD video was released at the beginning of November and was thus already out at this point. I think WWFM is doing okay in Itunes considering his album sold over 430K, considering WWFM is his third song released to Itunes after FYE and TFM, that it doesn't have a video yet and that only about 70 of the Top 40 stations currently spin it. It will do much better in Itunes after the MV is released and after his Oprah's performance.

It's at 13.5 million total AI, and just outside the top 60 on iTunes. LLWD reached 13.5 million at the end of November and the song hovered around #50 on iTunes at the time. But by then its video was already out. I'd say the sales/airplay ratio is about the same for both.

LLWD's video was already released for nearly a month by the end of November, but we are still waiting for WWFM video.

Diego (who still has Mediabase access) posts total AI of all formats and all stations in the Hot 100 thread.

I don't get the need to constantly compare Kris and Adam's songs. Am I missing something, when was it made a fact that one's success was dependent on the success or failure of the other? Exactly, why are we determining whether or not WWFM is a success or failure based on LLWD's performance. This is just so beyond tired.

^ It's not a bad comparison, they are very different artists but the rise of both of these singles seems to be very similar.

I agree that Adam's music videos affect his sales. FYE was nearly dead (and gone, heh) before the music video was released, and then all of a sudden it rocketed up to the 20's on iTunes after the music video was released and went to #1 on iTunes' Music Video category. If the WWFM video is as good or better, it will definitely help the song. That's not new for him though. After AI, something like 15 or 17 of the top 20 music videos on iTunes were all of Adam's AI performances.
I like to search Twitter to get an idea of what the general public thinks about things at any given time, and it looks like a lot of people either buy FYE (either the song OR album) after seeing the music video on MTV, which they've had on constant rotation since it's been released. That's why FYE the song hasn't died yet.
Oprah will definitely help fuel album sales, but I kind of hope he doesn't do WWFM. I'd love to hear him do Soaked on Oprah. Yeah, he'd miss out on the WWFM sales bump, but Soaked I think would fuel more album sales, which is the point.
Here's Soaked if you haven't heard it yet. It's perfect for Oprah:
FWIW, after Adam did his Skyped-in interview on Oprah back in October, his album went from #18 on Amazon to #1 on Amazon in a couple of hours, and he didn't even sing, nor was he there in person. He's gonna get a HUGE boost from this appearance.
Here's the little interview that led a nice boost for his sales:

Oprah is a platform where it's better (or at least just as good) to sing something that will promote an album rather than a single, and for that reason I'd agree on "Soaked". Let's face it - it will never be a single, but it's got the capacity to sell albums. It's the kind of track people expect to hear from him.

I agree, especially since Susan Boyle will be on the same show, and it'd be easier to attract some of her fans to buy Adam's album by singing "Soaked."
