Well, it's not like just any label can come out and release a CD of her hits, so I would think that this would speak something.

Does Jessica still look like this, or is that a photo from like 10 years ago? I used to be a pretty big fan, and I really miss her on the charts... That photo is from a while ago. She looks similar, just 'older' even though she's like 25 or so. Just saw her sing with Dave Pahanish last week. She's still fantastic.

Dreamworks was absorbed into Geffen when they closed so that's why they're releasing it, but why is a better question. Maybe she resigned to a UMG label? Actually since Geffen is a pop label under UMG maybe she's going to go Pop? hmm interesting eitherway.

Well, it's not like just any label can come out and release a CD of her hits, so I would think that this would speak something. It doesn't mean anything. This record company owns her masters, they think they can turn a profit on the handful of sales this will make, so they're putting it out. Doubtful there's any correlation to whatever Jessica is doing today or will be doing in the near future.

But if not, why wait this long to release this album? That's what doesn't make sense to me and why I think there may possibly be something in the future for her.

She's only 25 so something is definitely possible in her future. She sings around Nashville and does occasional gigs here and there (Saw her at a festival in Washington state last year). The label is simply releasing a budget compilation to include in their ICON series. I'm sure she'll not object to this being released at all, particularly since fans can get some hard to find singles from the end of the DreamWorks 'era' here. The only better thing would've been to include the single she released on Lyric Street. My guess is she finds another label sooner or later to release some new material and I doubt if she goes pop.

I remember that "Who I Am" song was so so huge back in the day. It was a pretty successful country-pop crossover. The video was even played on Nickelodeon I believe, when they still played music videos from artists like Britney and boy bands, etc.
Its a shame that aside from that, she pretty much had no success.

(Saw her at a festival in Washington state last year). What?! I never heard about that; would have been nice to catch her on the west coast. :( I've really missed her, and wish she'd come out with an indie record (or demos, or Youtube performances, anything new really) if she's not secretly signed. I know she has her Twitter, but she never mentions much about music.

I certainly miss having her on the radio as well; 'Who I Am' remains among the top ten 'power gold' cuts by females of the past decade to this date, and I hear it almost every day on the radio, as well as on syndicated shows including those hosted by Blair Garner & Whitney Allen.
I'll definitely be buying this, since I've always loved her voice.

I guess you were only like 7 year old when it was released, so that would explain the Nickelodeon comment... It's too bad that Jessica's follow-up single, "Helplessly, Hopelessly", failed to even make the top 30.

Yeah, if I'm correct in thinkin' it was released in 2002, then I would've been abt 9 years old at the time =) I didn't really get into country music though until the year later, with Sara Evans' "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" ... changed everything. Loved, loved, loved country music ever since. At the time it was popular, I liked "Who I Am," but it wasn't "country" in my eyes... because of the crossover appeal, and it was before I fell in love w/ that genre.

Even God Must Get The Blues (Live Acoustic) 8. Bring On The Rain (Live Acoustic) PREVIEW: www.amazon.com/Unmistakable-Inspiration/dp/B0047BBJ3K/1. Just Drive 2. Whatcha Gonna Do About It 3. The Day That I Can't Love You 4. Biker Chick 5. Real Man 6. One Day Closer 7. I'm Alright (Live Acoustic) 8. Lesson In Leavin' (Live Acoustic) PREVIEW: www.amazon.com/Unmistakable-Drive/dp/B0047B7UQA/I liked "Love" OK, but is anyone else very disappointed with these clips? Both these EPs sounds terrible. No wonder she has trouble getting this album up, the quality of her music just is not where it used to be.

And it hasn't been since she tried to cover a Beth Hart original. No one can touch that woman.

I disagree completely. I think the clips sound very good, and I'm def. looking forward to getting them, because I think the type of songs on Drive in particular are her forte.

Hate to say it since I'm usually a fan of the female singers but the dude in this song sounded WAY better, although the song itself I didn't care for.

Watched yesterday... 1) The video is from back March, so it's not exactly a "new" song or video 2) Emily West doing nothing in the background was kinda funny. I could bet she'd stand up and sing with them lol

Another new Keith Urban track. This should have been the first single.

FEB 08Thompson Square " Thompson Square" (Stoney Creek Records) Source: Allaccess This is an album I'm interested in. The current single they have out is really good. Would love to see them become a successful country duo... not really anybody who competes w/ Sugarland now.
