Well, I think you just attacked me and called ME stupid because I MIGHT like one of the songs you think is stupid. I am offended and going to attack you for pages upon pages now.
Seems sort of silly, doesn't it?

Seems sort of silly, doesn't it? LPL, you know I love you, but you are completely misunderstanding my argument. I'm saying that calling someone's art stupid (especially as their peer) is significantly worse than calling their art bad. Plus, although it was a blanket description, she said "most popular artists" which brings specifies it more. So no, I don't think you're stupid for liking those songs. Not sure where you got that I would, but I don't.

Ah ok I see where I misunderstood now-I get what you are saying about artists specifically, but what kills me about this is not that artists are offended. It is the random pulse members going around acting like KElly slapped them all in the face. Kesha fans are ready to wage war on Kelly for a vague statement that may or may not have even included Kesha. That is what seems so strange and weird to me. Hasn't Kelly been overseas lately? She could be talking about some random french artist no one knows. I just don't understand why fans particularly are acting so offended like she specifically insulted them. I cannot imagine feeling offended by an artist saying there are some stupid songs on radio right now. I cannot imagine waging a war against Kelly because I have decided to think she meant Lady Gaga or someone else I like.
I don't know-the reactions from folks specifically on Pulse just seems strange to me.

To be fair though, some people take it to heart when they feel their favorite artist is being threatened. In this case, they shouldn't be since no one was specified, but eh. They will be. That is my problem with this. She is bringing unnecessary negativity on herself. No matter, though, it's over. Done with. Sorry for the miscommunication LPL.

Given how spectacular her voice was for her duet with Reba, I really wish she did some AIEW promo while she was here. She could have REALLY torn into it.

I was a huge Kelly fan, but eventually I realized Kelly always has an opinion on everything, like, and she's not even asked about it most times. She should just shut up and sing, that's what she does best. I miss the popular Kelly Clarkson who had a life to mind and not butt in on other's business.

Gosh I guess if you're an artist you're evidently not entitled to express an opinion; even though it is a vague one. You're just supposed to shut up and sing. I meant to add that Barbra Streisand is often similarly criticized for her political opinions. I say Kelly is in pretty good company. And before any of you say that Barbra is an established artist, etc., etc. , she has been an outspoken and opinionated in her views from the get go. Look it up. From her very early support for Bella Abzug (sp) to the present.

Newly released 4-part interview with a Malaysian station, although this seems to have been conducted when Kelly was in Australia last May/June - here's Part 2 talking about producing If No One Will Listen:
Part 4 in which she has to name 5 current albums she likes, and as usual Kelly shows lots of love to a number of different artists:

I don't follow Barbra so I can't say anything, she is allowed to have an opinion, I just wish she would keep it to herself and friends. Especially coming from Kelly, the girl who has been on the other side of things and saw what it's like to be criticized. I mean, now a days, Kelly is either on the spotlight criticizing something or looking horrible. Take a close look at Katherine Heigl, for instance. She's not very liked and only because she's 'voicing her opinion', sure, she can if she wants to, but it's a very bitchy move.

She's not very liked and only because she's 'voicing her opinion', sure, she can if she wants to, but it's a very bitchy move. I don't follow Katherine Heigl closely either. However, I am aware that she made some very disparaging remarks about Knocked Up. She named a specific movie and the people associated with it. I also know she has made specific remarks about her tv show. Again the key word is "specific." I can't imagine you would even have the nerve to compare the two. Kelly didn't come off "bitchy" in that tweet. It was an off the cuff comment about pop music in general. Not a specific song or songs or artist or artists. She's entitled to her opinion and she doesn't have to keep it private anymore than you or I because she's a public figure. If you don't agree with or like Kelly, get over it and follow someone else. You think I go around various message boards expressing that Katherine Heigle should just shut up and act. No I don't. As I said, I'm not a fan of hers and can't be bothered. If you're not a fan of Kelly's because of her opinions, don't follow her.

Still don't think she should've sent that tweet out. I love how outspoken she is but COME ON you KNOW what is playing on pop radio nowadays. Don't be so naive. She can surely put in a CD or plug in her iPod. I do think she was talking about K$ not because I think she has bad music. I think others would think that of her. Hell people do think that but tbh I just think they can't appreciate fun, careless, shameless pop music. Obviously not everyone is going to like it but it's not like Ke$ha is a once-you've-heard-one-you've-heard-them-all type of artist...I'm looking at you Taylor Swift. Anyways, that's all. /end stan.ning post for Ke$ha.

Stephen-glad we could clear that up-sometimes my tone of voice comes off very wrong on the net and I wish people could hear me actually speaking ha ha.
I am still amazed people are so offended by a tweet. I want to know which artists you guys like that NEVER speak out about anything ever. Kesha herself has bashed people. SO has Pink and...well, pretty much every pop artist I can imagine as well as most actresses and such. Why is it so different when Kelly does it? I am genuinely curious.

at her outright saying she won't work with Tedder! I love it. Before she would dodge the question and say he was "a talented guy". And 80's pop/rock with her singer songwriter stuff sounds great to me. Can't fucking wait.

I don't think she was saying she'd refuse to, just that she doesn't expect to work with him again. By this point, I don't think either of them would be eager to go back down that road, and she seems to have moved on to other producers for this album.
Which is just as well; the songs they did together were good, but it's not like he's gonna get more original with time.

Either way, I'm glad. The songs they did were great but I don't want her working with him again, for the obvious reasons. I wonder if she'll actually sing new stuff on this part of the tour. I really doubt it. And if she does it'll be the singer songwriter stuff.
