There's no question she will most likely outsell him. Drake's promo/single schedule was a bit messy, and i think that's what screwed him over. He had 3 single worthy songs left that he could have released from TML.

("Up All Night" which was already getting major airplay, "Shut It Down" which was originally planned to be the 2nd or 3rd single, then "Unforgettable" which had that nostalgic factor going for it with the Aaliyah sample)

1st he scraps the video for single #4, announces single #5 then scraps it as a single and then they stop all the promo for the album. It was a very messy release.

Then there is Nicki's image. Nicki has more Pop appeal than Drake and she released during a time where album sales are their highest so those 2 factors have definitely helped her sales tremendously.

I understand why they're releasing it - YT girl appeal, as Big Poppa said - but I'm not feeling "Super Bass" as a single. Is Ester Rolle going to be in the video or will Nicki be miming her hook? Why not employ Ester's soundalike, Justin Bieber - thanks Wavey, lol - for YT girl appeal x10?

"Fly" has always been stale to me as well. Off the top of my head, I don't know Nicki's verses at all, but I can say the hook is Rihanna's least appealing performance of late. "Boring", I suppose, sums up the song, plus we've already had inspirational single with M4L.

In the end, I'm all for "Shitted On'em" and wrap it up.

lol @ the Est(h)er Rolle reference. And lol @ the thought Bieber miming the hook. Speaking of Bieber, I thought it was him on "Last Chance". Then I remembered Nicki mentioning Natasha Bedingfield as one of the guests on the album.

BTW "Super Bass" is very summery.

Hehe...but will it crossover or just be pop. I couldn't see urban touching Superbass...that's how pop it is.

I guess it should do well on pop and rhythmic.

After conquering the charts, Nicki Minaj’s next frontier may be television. The Young Money raptress is reportedly in talks with Simon Cowell to be a judge on the U.S. edition of his talent competition “The X Factor.”

The Harajuku Barbie met with Cowell in Los Angeles a few weeks ago, according to Page Six. “Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She’s sassy, she looks great, and she has bags of personality,” says a source.

The hip-hop diva’s casting as a judge would help the show appeal to a younger and more diverse audience. “Nicki has a large following and she fits well with the ethos of the show, which plans to usher in a new generation of musical talent,” adds the source. “‘X Factor’ is aiming for a younger audience. Those aged 12 and over can audition, and [the English version has] launched successful artists from other genres of music than pop.”

She is currently touring the country with Lil Wayne and nothing has been finalized. “This isn’t a done deal yet, but Nicki would be great for the show. She fits the ideal that ‘X Factor’ will be exciting, vibrant, and different. And the show would also be great for her career.”

Former Island Def Jam CEO and Chairman L.A. Reid was officially announced as one of the judges for the singing competition, set to premiere this fall on Fox.

Check it Out was really a turn off - such a childish song even though I loved it.
Right Thru Me is nice but boring.
She should have released strong singles to maintain sales. That's why I'm sure when she releases Fly, weekly album sales will get as high as 50K for some time. Did it in Em, Roman's Revenge are great singles. She should release Blazin. Actually that's a must.

Yeah, personally the only single that I mind is Check it out. It is so forgettable and does nothing for me. I remember, I was on vacation for a few weeks in Hawaii and Guam and made myself workout to that song at the hotels' gym.
