'I handed in a verse to a very special lady that I think is gonna rock people's world,' she teases MTV News.

Nicki Minaj is still pushing her debut album, Pink Friday, but the Lil Wayne protégé is ready to get back in the studio.

She took time out from recording recently to prep for the I Am Still Music Tour.

"I slowed down because I been rehearsing," Nicki told MTV News. "I couldn't do a lot of stuff. There's things that are pending that I have to turn in."

But prior to the tour kickoff in Providence, Rhode Island, the Queens MC put pen to pad for several contributions to future projects from her Young Money/ Cash Money Records family and another she was particularly tight-lipped about.

"I had to hand in a Carter IV verse. I handed in a verse to Birdman, and I handed in a verse to a very special lady that I think is gonna rock people's world," she told MTV News.

"I love keeping secrets," Nicki added, smiling. "That [last] one is gonna rock some boats."

Soon, she said, she'll begin the first stages on her follow-up to Pink Friday. Her video with Rihanna for "Fly" and the "Super Bass" clip are scheduled to arrive next. However, she already has a release date in mind for her sophomore set — though she's reluctant to broadcast the info.

"I can give you an idea," she said, coyly. "But I don't want to. I'd rather not right now. Because then everybody is gonna jump on the bandwagon and say they're putting out their album the same day."

In most cases, I agree.
But to me she put alot of pop tracks on this record with a handful of urban records with the intent of releasing certain songs for pop and urban audiences.
I would be shocked to see Save me or Did it on em on pop and Dominoes, Super Bass on urban played heavily.
Moment for life and Fly could go both ways.

Her next record, I'll be excited how she is going to do that.

Fly is the worst song on her album. I say release Blazin, do a nice upbeat remix and she'll have her summer hit.

They're nothing alike. CIO was generic and repetitive. Super Bass has a genuinely catchy hook and entertaining verses too.

I personally don't think Fly is her best single, i think it's the best one to garner much pop sales. Her best songs on the album are the ones she's crazy on - Roman's (...) & Did It (...), buy I gotta be in the right mood to fully enjoy them. I too think Blazin' is great, it really is. The melody is heavenly. I don't care what she releases though, as long as it gets her to 2XP!

These 2 songs are the most radio friendly songs she has on the album, IMO.

Add Superbass (which is not my favorite but people like it), save me (because she is adamant about releasing it), fly to get those casual hip Pop fans to get it and Did it on em is currently doing its things. Why is there no video to it...I guess it is a radio only single.

Sources say that Nicki Minaj is in discussions -- but not confirmed -- to support Britney Spears on the latter's upcoming tour after Enrique Iglesias abruptly pulled out hours after the tour was announced.

Minaj is currently on the road with Lil Wayne on his I Am Still Music tour. Spears' tour begins June 17 in Sacramento. Tour promoter Live Nation and representatives for Minaj could not be reached for comment.

Hours after a Spears-Iglesias tour was announced on Tuesday (Mar. 29), Iglesias pulled out of the summer trek, reportedly due to money and the perception that Iglesias would be opening for Spears instead of co-headlining the tour with her.

Although Spears has expressed interest in adding Usher to the tour, the R&B star is highly unlikely to join the trek, as he is managed by Randy Phillips who also helms AEG Live, producers of Spears' last tour and very competitive with current promoter Live Nation.

"Femme Fatale," Spears' seventh album that was released on Tuesday and is expected to reach No. 1 on next week's Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj's debut album, "Pink Friday," has moved 1.3 million copies since its November release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
