I love your updates <3 I really hope this goes 2x platinum before the end of the year Thanks...I do the same in the Britney thread and they throw so much shade...get over it I'm still gonna show my love for Bricki. I think that if they release Fly (August-November) at Pop/Rhythmic and Save me (October-January) Urban/urban ac/Rhythmic/Pop later) then I think she can sell around 1.7-1.8M before year end. Fly will be a huge pop hit/save me won't be that big of a hit but Nicki wants this released so bad so... It will eventually sell 2.1+ over time and become the bestselling debut female rap album, best selling female rap album (Lauryn Hill was classified R&B) so on and so forth. I hope that she can just make a video (for save me) after touring ends with Britney in mid august and works on finalizing her 2nd album this fall/winter and keeps the momentum going.

I will have to check out the britney thread. is it in femme fatal or I Wanna Go thread?

She really needs to release Fly like in August. Superbass is going to peak soon and we need this video. As long as she can secure about 1.7/8M+ by year's end I don't doubt that she can sell over 2M at the end of its life. I just hope they don't plan to keep in her the studio in the fall/winter without keeping PF through the 4th quarter sales period.

I know that she has stated that she wants it released at some point...Fly would be a good way to end on pop/save me would be a marketing move to appeal to another audience and also get some extra sales for 4th quarter.

Isn't she planning on dropping her second album by the end of the year? I wouldn't be surprised if Superbass is the last single from PF if that's the case. If they release anything else, it shouldn't be Fly; the song isn't all that and having Rihanna feature doesn't guarantee it'll take off. Blazin' would be a much better choice.

IDK...the video is already shot and she was supposed to release it on memorial day but they went with Superbass instead. I'm certain that at minimum Fly would be released and it would be a great way to close out the era. I hope that she doesn't release her new album by the end of the year...but I do understand sales are important. She said her next release would be in April but she also said Save me and Dominoes not Superbass would be singles so...we'll see. I'm down with either option A) 1) Finish britney's tour 2) release Fly in August (pop/rhy) 3) head into the studio for the fall 4) little promo here and there 5) release save me in October (urban/rhy/urban ac) 6) finishing touches on new album 7) release a song in December (sales), January, or February 8) release an album in Feb, March, or April 9) headlining tour in starts May/June B) 1) Finish Britney's tour 2) head back into the studio to put final touches 3) release new song October 4) promo AMA's etc 5) release album November 22 (PF 1st anniversary/November 21st) to get full week 6) headlining tour starts March/April 7) release Fly in August

I love both "Fly" and "Save Me".
The new album should be released in 2012, IMO.

So they really need to get on releasing this Fly video?
I can't wait until the end of August...she'll start being in the studio working on her follow.
Can't wait for her to drop hints of remaining singles off of Pink Friday and hints on the direction of her new record.

I think at this point, she should get 2XP even if she's under 2,000,000 and move on. It fells like it's been too long. If she does release an album soon, she needs to take a break.

I agree...still wish that hideous check it out was never released and instead had Blow ya mind/Muny. Even if she stays around 13k a week she will sell around 1.9M for the year. If anything she NEEDS to release an album at the top of next year. She can't take a break while she is on fire. Hopefully she can just release Fly in September to which it will peak around november right in time for Holiday sales. I want her to release Save me but it looks like Superbass knocked it off the radar. Hopefully they can do a split deal (Fly-pop/rhythmic Save me urban/urban ac/rhy/pop...eventually) since she said from the beginning she wants it released. Then spend the fall-winter finalizing her second release Release a song in January/February and album March/April Headline summer tour in May (have Eve, trina, Missy, and whoever be opening acts) Bigger hits, another platinum plus album... then take a bit of a break and start rebranding...wig line, fragrance, movie role etc.

I think that they should release 'Fly' as the follow up to 'Super Bass' and then end the era, but I won't be gutted if they don't. 'Super Bass' is her only real big hit yet so I think she'll be fine with a short break, and if they don't release a follow-up single, they could probably manage with releasing the next album in November, although February would probably be better (December and January being terrible times to release things). So excited for it.

Last night I drove 3 hours to Philly to experience the Bricki concert. I purchased the hospitality package so I received a tour backstage. So first I forget to bring enough cash and have to drive out of Wells fargo center pissed.I got to CVS to get money out and see the epic People 100 celebrities that define our time with God.ney on the front page...I digress. Pre-showI went backstage and they had a restaurant for us to buy drinks and eat. the food was pretty decent. We went on the tour and I was in the back and at first I didn't notice until 1 minute in that it was FRICKIN Fefe (Felicia Culotta-who has been with Britney since 99...let's forget the kfed years and her country colloquialisms about being a kicked dog one too many times)...I actually kept it together. I guess if I were a teen I would have lost my ish but I just couldn't keep a goofy grin off of my face. She was sweet and charming. She took us to see the dancers outfits and Britney's outfits. Her personal favorite was the studded jean set she wears in I wanna go and Baby one more time. Great tidbit. Fe's favorite was the kimono in Toxic. She proceeded to take us closer to the dressing room where out of nowwhere we see Adam leber...Short in person but seems pretty cool. Oh, I forgot to add that when we were backstage and Fe was going over the costumes she gave a tidbit that the Hold it against me, up n down, and 3 outfit is actually in a one piece and a two piece...depending on how Britney feels about her belly. If she is having a good belly day, two piece otherwise one piece. For the record, she had the one piece at my show. But her body was flawless so... In the middle of it, dancers kept passing by and Jason trawick walked by and everyone was in shock. Also saw that bald bodyguard that Britney has with her now (also, shorter in person like Adam maybe it's a bald thing). The showI was sitting on floor seats second row and at first i was underwhelmed because I noticed that the seats were not really filled. Being the Pulse junkie that I am I immediately started thinking about Billboard Boxscores (the thread). I'm a dork, I know. I then realized it is because ppl wait until the real opening act or the headliner. that said, Jessie and whoever showed up looking like a 2001 britney/love game gaga. She sounded like Hilary duff... but the songs were hot. I thought she was actually covering Born this way but then it was just her song that sounded similar. She did good but yeah...wtf is Nicki. So it's time to Minaj... She didn't perform all of her songs for some strange reason (No Catch me, Muny, Raining men, Dutty love, Lil freak, All i do is win, hello good morning, right thru me and Fly). She did amazing. B+ Roman's Revenge...it was hard to hear her in the beginning but she did great. A+ Did it on em...great performance the crowd was into it. A Moment for life...great B Bedrock...was cute but forgettable B Your love interlude...surprised that they didn't use Right thru me as an interlude in between costume changes but oh well B+ Up all night Solid A Bottoms up the crowd went crazy A+ Monster love the theathrics B Check it out...over it. B My chick bad...solid A+ Save me...unlike Britney, she didn't sound as good live as it sounds on Youtube. It was great but either her other nights were better or it just sounded more nasally in person. A Where them girls at? Not feelin this song but the crowd went crazy. A+ Superbass the ultimate song that moved the crowd. EPIC. It was like the underlying message was "I've arrived" "I belong to you" she seemed so accepted and it let me know that she made the best decision for her career to crossover right away. THIS is the crowd that will support you and not throw so much hate at her. *2 songs before Nicki's set ends the front row ppl go back to meet Britney. The ppl that were front row come back and they were in awe but they were also saying that it only lasted for like 2 seconds (pauz ;)). The girl next to me was kinda pissed because she didn't get the opportunity to purchase front row to meet n greet with her. One girl was shocked at how shy she was and we were looking at her like What on earth did you expect. All that she has been through. She doesn't like being touched or having people spaz out over her...she gets nervous. Rightfully, so. Another note: I realized that the girl next to me listened to her music since she was 12 and knew all of this stuff (that i knew) but she was so adamant about shutting down any conversation that didn't involve Britney (a true stan-maybe I don't own that card). Ppl around us started talking about Gaga-she doesn't like her because of all the crap she talks. Then they started talking about Beyonce-she disapproved. This is Britney's night. I could care less. I just gave her my stan card because only a stan would pull that. ;DMoving on. Show starts I won't go into details because we all saw the youtube clips. She didn't perform burning up or he about to lose me. Although Perez stated she sang 40% live...I think she performed less than that. I get the sense she did that in the beginning and now is relying more on pre-recorded/lipped vocals. IDK. A+ Hold it against me- EEEPPPIIIICCCC!!! When I tell you the crowd went wild. Whew an understatement. She clearly sang live and sounded amazing. Her dancing was much better in person than on youtube. Overall great way to start. A+ Up n down-another epic performance. She clearly sang this live too. At first the moves were stiff but towards the middle she picked it up and looked great. A+ 3-I believe this was a pre-recorded vocal but whatever. At first the moves were stiff but towards the middle she killed it. C Piece of me...love the song but she just goes from one part of the stage to the next on this contraption thing...which by the way didn't work the first few seconds and Brit's mic was on and she was telling the dancers something but for like 5 seconds they couldn't put her in the thing. I was nervous while she was going up that she put her in right. But wasteful. I would rather her walk over to the other part of the stage and shake her zz singing that. Costume change B Big fat bass...again I always call it big fat waste but I must say the crowd was into it and when I left the event I heard it on someone's car blasting as they were leaving...sigh...it's polarizing but maybe there is an audience for this song. Please release How i roll? Inside out and Up n down. her dancing was stiff...she was lipping...but it was a great performance. A how I roll... lipped. I think this will be a single at one point. It was great. A Lace and leather-prerecorded vocal...she did great. The guy was into. She was calling for the audience to be selected as if it wasn't already preplanned and everyone had their hands up like they didn't know. A If you seek amy-either 1/2 live 1/2 prerecorded or all prerecorded. I loved it. She really worked the crowd on this one. B+ gimme more. The stage setup alone was MAJAH. But there was no dancing. She lipped...it was meh. B+ Drop dead beautiful...average performance-lipped. B Boys...pre-recorded...the crowd was into it. A+++ Don't let me be the last to know...not sure how it will sound on youtube but let me tell you: SHE SOUNDED AMAZING ALL LIVE. :'( :'( :'( A Baby one more time/S&M lipped and the crowd went wild. A trouble for me lipped this song resonated with the crowd more than I would imagine. Overall, solid performance. not much dancing but whatever. A+ Slave for you...I have to say she seemed to dance more than in June. She did good but you could tell that it is no longer 2001. She did do more dancing for this then opening night. A+++ I wanna go lipped. She was obviously not dancing but there was one fat guy that got WAAAYYYY too close to britney and was trying to disrespect the queen by outdancing her. there I looked at her bald bodyguard and he was eyeing him like crazy and took three steps up and was ready to handle him. She was talking to someone in his ear and that's when we took three steps back. B Womanizer Lipped. Good performance... A Toxic...lipped I loved this performance A+ Till the world ends not sure how it looks on youtube but her dancing was top notch. I left after Nicki's remix so i didn't see the last 45 seconds I just wanted to get out early so that I wouldn't be stuck. Overall, my first concert EEVVEERR. I loved it. Nicki was amazing...I wished she would have performed more of her songs...I really wanted to see fly. Britney showed that she still has it. Is she 2001 Britney, hell no? But does she still put on a great show. Absolutely. I can say that I enjoyed myself and will get a meet n greet next time.

Well, the Fly video was shot in January I believe and was due for a Memorial day release but then they pushed Superbass. Fly will be released i just wonder if they will release Save me as it is her favorite song and she was adamant about it's release at some point. To me, they could just let Fly go for adds in early September and then put out Save me in late Oct/November just for added q4 sales and also to tie over until they put out the album in the spring...new single late winter/spring.

She'll be following up her first top ten in the UK with a double a side of "Did It On 'Em" and "Fly" on September 12.
