Most signs point to "How Does It Feel" as the second single from "My Everything". I don't expect this to go for adds until December or even early next year because "You're My Everything" is holding up so well. Blue Note and Anita's official site already have the audio for this one up, along with the first single, so I have the link for you to listen. This song rivals "You're My Everything" for my favorite song on the album. WVAZ, the first station to add "You're My Everything," has already added this one. boss.streamos.com/wmedia/bluenote/AnitaBaker/1844505a128.asx?texttype=plain

"You're My Everything" has already fallen from #1 and could follow one of two paths:
1) Spend a while in the top 10 on Urban AC and fall off next winter. 2) Start falling off like a rock since it received such "overplayed" status on Urban AC radio.
If the latter is what happens, they better rush this next single out in mid-October. Really, it is the next two weeks that will determine how the record label wants to play the adds game.

This now has over 50 spins, more than 40 coming from this past week alone. It's on over a dozen stations and one of the Top 20 greatest gainers.

This song will do really well. Not because it's Anita, but an instant hit. And since this won't go for adds until December and some stations are making an early discovery of it, why not? Despite the burn-out activity of You're My Everything, give or take at least two weeks or maybe about a month before it disappears from the chart. How Does it Feel feels right at home on the chart. Another great song from Anita. I love it to pieces!

this is one of those rare songs where the first time you hear it, it sounds like a song you already knew that was a big hit. in my experience those songs almost always go on to be big hits.

This has enough spins to make New & Active next week and could even make the chart with about 10 more spins. It needs more stations though!

This is now up to 9 stations. How many stations does a song need to hit the chart?

it has 106 spins; if it gets even a half dozen more adds, with the way it's gaining it could be top 20 in less than a month.

i don't think there's a minimum. Oh ok so I guess she will hit the chart soon. 106 spins would put her in New & Active.

"How Does It Feel" is now on 11 Urban AC stations with 112 spins this week. It's also on a few mainstream Urban stations, but I don't have the specific details on those.

I just noticed that the label for "You're My Everything" is listed as Blue Note/EMC, but the label for this one is listed as Blue Note/Virgin.

she gets a big :o for hvaing 28 adds w/o going for them while she's still #3 on the chart.
i have NO idea why the songs' labels are listed differently, that's highly strange.

"You're My Everything" never went for adds either, and it was never listed on All Access. There are many older artists who just sneak their song under the radar and it ends up most added.

I really love "You're My Everything". I hope I enjoy this song as much as I do her first single. I have never liked Anita's music before. Maybe I will have to go out and buy her cd

this is already up to 4th most increased with +88... it looks like UAC isn't gonna let the label space out the singles, they're ready for more.

Could EMC be a typo for EMI? Doesn't EMI own Virgin? I don't know. Just a guess. I think EMC stands for Emi-Capitol because EMI owns Capitol and Virgin and the EMI rep that comes to my store usually gives us promos from all the above labels. So it could be that Blue Note is now under the Virgin branch?? I dunno....

great song, but i just decided "Like you used to" is perhaps the best single on the album. But it's not a single yet! ;) Hopefully it will be. I hear 5 singles here, the two already released, "Like You Used To," "In My Heart," and maybe "Close Your Eyes".

Lmao... this is now MOST increased. +153 from just 30 stations. Now that it's most increased and set to break into the top 20, the rest of the stations will probably start adding.
It's cool to have a QUALITY artist dominating a chart, even if it's not one of the major charts.
