Today, the label confirmed that the next single for the USA is "Worth It" and it's supposed to be on the 1st february... so we'll see how this goes... Also she's being honored on the Bet Honors so this could also give a boost to sales in the USA...

Janet's Number Ones did receive a lot of promo from ABC ("Good Morning America," the one-hour special, 20/20 airing the "make Me" video, the AMAs). But, what other awards show did she perform on? I must have missed that one. :) To be fair, we know hits compilations do not sell as well in their initial release as they once did.

Janet's days ruling the charts are over. I think after the Super Bowl incident, people lost interest in her. Not to mention, her music has been so so and she has officially reached that age where the general public isn't interested. It happens to everyone. No one is safe.

^Well, she is 43, so, yeah, she's going to have it tougher than she did. No 40+ female is going to be ruling the charts these days, anyhow.

But, over time, Number Ones may do alright- it's a great compilation. Nipplegate alone cannot be blamed for the downward commercial showing; the last batch of albums were not as strong as her best work- it's a number of factors.
