Streaming plus HAC & AC airplay is definitely keeping Already Gone from vanishing off the chart; I'm amazed to see it crawl back up 3 slots this late in its run.
I Gotta Feeling has had just an unbelievably long run on the Hot 100. Seriously, it's still in the top 20?
at this rate, it will stay in the top 40 until it gets warm outside and then it will shoot up to #1 again for 16 weeks, lol.
Im lovin that hot 100 mainly due to Sexy Chick FINALLY going top 5 as well as Bad Romance going back to #2 (just wish it woulda gotten ONE damn week at #1)! And also Hey Soul Sister going top 10!! SO damn nice to have a variety of dance, pop, adult contempoary again like the 90s and not just dumb down, sh*t r&b and hip hop for a change!

Those who get some kind of odd pleasure from seeing Taylor Swift's non-single dropping 2-22 probably just don't like the fact that she has the kind of sales prowess, where she can sell 300,000+ of a track that just comes out of the blue. No putting a damper on this 20 year-old's commercial achievements.
Justin Bieber's track also dropped 20 spots, 5-25.
The most celebrated and important female artist of the last half-century. The world has been "hung up" on her since she announced to Dick Clark in 1984 that she wanted to rule the world. And RULE it she has...
Yeah, I sort of get why people root against Taylor at awards shows, given how over-awarded she's been in the past year, but I don't really understand the rooting against her sales and airplay just because she's successful.

^Yes, especially because the charts are not something acts can control (well, some- and labels- have played the game better than others, but it still comes down to factors beyond their control). It's the public making the charts what they are. Why I never get it when someone speaks as if the act itself played the songs to get airplay and bought the singles to get it where it is. :)

Hey bks, did "LoveGame" pass the 2 million mark yet? Must be this week or next I'm guessing?
Turns out it did pass it :)
Lady Gaga's "Lovegame" becomes the fifth song from expanded version of The Fame to top the 2 million mark in paid downloads. Gaga is only the second artist to pull five 2 million-selling songs from one album. Fergie achieved the feat with her 2006 solo debut album, The Dutchess.

If this were 2005 yes, but given the #1s lately it is clear that dance tracks have taken over the past two years.

I just had to look up what the fifth song was that sold over 2 million. Had no idea "Clumsy" was that big of a hit back then. I barely even remember how it goes lol.
