Is "Pretty Heart" by Parker McCollum getting a full promotion? Hasn't been sent to radio yet, so is its #41 peak just from Texas stations? I don’t think it is getting a full promotion, I hope that it does though because I really like that song and Parker. Surprised that it has managed to make it into the top 40 without full promotion as of tonight.

Did Carrie’s Drinking Alone really fall completely off the HCS chart?

Did Carrie’s Drinking Alone really fall completely off the HCS chart? I think Billboard just got a little stir crazy with songs going recurrent, because I have a list of all 12 songs that are off the chart from last week. Kane Brown "Homesick" Jake Owen "Homemade" Kenny Rogers "The Gambler" Kelsea Ballerini "Homecoming Queen" Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton "Islands In The Stream" Chase Rice "Lonely If You Are" Luke Combs "Better Together" Chris Young "Drowning" Carrie Underwood "Drinking Alone" Michael Ray "Her World Or Mine" Chris Lane "Big Big Plans" Florida Georgia Line "Blessings" I at least think in regards to Chase Rice, Chris Young, Carrie Underwood, and Michael Ray (maybe Chris Lane) that Billboard accidentally sent them recurrent. I imagine they will be on that chart next week and this was just a mistake

Considering the Hot 100 isn’t even out yet, I think Billboard made mistake somewhere in their calculations which could have caused those songs to go recurrent unnecessarily.

lol at Carrie going recurrent as "Drinking Alone" literally is just now gaining traction at radio; of course that had to be a mistake.
Speaking of radio updates: I LOVE those updates for Carrie, Gabby, and Ingrid! Also nice to see Miranda crack Top 25!

Sorry I don’t mean to ask this through a Stan lens, but how come Drinking Alone was removed from HCS? I have a hard time believing it isn’t even in the top fifty...

I’ll cut them some slack because we’re in the middle of a pandemic, but the amount of mistakes they make is ridiculous sometimes.

Billboard really needs a better editor so that the YouTube buttons do not show up in a screen capture in p.11...

Did Billboard lay off the Country Update editor? Maybe there was a mistake with something or audience change but I don’t think it is because of the latter.

Anybody else see they can't get "What I'm Leaving For" listed correctly for the 2nd week in a row?

Spoiler for next week I can guarantee 1 song (probably "Hard To Forget") will enter the Top 10.

I will still never quite understand how the rules on recurrents were changed for a one time reason to make Drinking Alone fall off the chart.

What most likely happened with "Drinking Alone" is that it reached 20 weeks on the HCS chart on 3/30 and the following week (4/6) it fell off because it got sent recurrent for not having a bullet (the genre chart [not to be confused with the genre airplay charts] has a 20 weeks + under #25 recurrent rule apparently]. I still think it's weird since "Drinking Alone" was climbing on radio but even if I let that slide (streaming and sales could have taken a hit?) the fact that it hasn't come back is interesting... maybe it hasn't racked up enough points to be top 25 on HCS? In that case once it has enough points it should re-enter then.
It's not that Billboard implemented a one-time rule change, they're just not good at applying the rules consistently if you know what I mean.

Is it possible if a song goes recurrent and falls below #20 it wouldn't come back on the HCS chart until it is at #20 or higher?
