I think they put out an unfinished draft, LOL. I mean, it's mostly finished...but most of the headers are in plain black font, and it looks like they didn't get all the ads in (instead there's one for Billboard magazine with Prince on the cover included like 3-4 times). But it has the chart! :) January 22 www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/photos/pdf/2012/country_update_0122.pdf

I believe that is billboard's new logo believe it or not. I read an article on USA Today's website, that billboard was goin to revamp the look of their magazine and website some time this week.

Thank you! I was trying to figure the link out by replacing the date, but the scheme for the link keeps changing with "bcu" coming before the date instead of after this time. And the link still has "2012" in it...

^I think he means that it works, just that the URL address keeps changing from date to date. And if you notice, it still says "2012" in the address which doesn't make sense anymore, lol. I wanted to see if there were any new ads in the Thursday issue and so I was trying to get access to the mongrel chart yesterday by just changing the date as well, and it did not work. The way the URL is has been changing every week.

I only replied because it was addressed to me. I won't be adding links anymore on this board.

It boggles my mind that the suffix of the links for the past 4 mid-week updates are so different. I wonder what the database person is thinking. It all starts with "http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/photos/pdf/2012/", but it ends with:
1/3/13: C0103.pdf 1/10/13: Cmw0110.pdf 1/17/13: 0116bbcu.pdf 1/24/13: BCU_0124.pdf
There is no systematic method to their madness...

February 7 mid-week update: www1.billboard.biz/bbbiz/photos/pdf/2013/BCUmw0207.pdfQuestion...does anyone know what the tracking week is for the mongrel Hot Country Songs chart? And also, is the tracking period for sales/streaming different than the tracking period for airplay? Because today's issue said Lady A was the Greatest audience gainer, jumping 75% to 14.5 million impressions, when they only had 12 million on the 2/16 Airplay chart. I can't figure out why they'd be the greatest audience gainer, since Kenny racked up 11 million in just 3 days and has outgained Lady A every day since "Pirate Flag" was sent out to radio. Very confusing.

The airplay tracking week is Wednesday through Tuesday; the tracking weeks for sales and streaming are Monday through Sunday. This is done to match the tracking periods for the Hot 100, so that the country chart will be exactly the same as listing the country songs in the order they appear on the Hot 100. This is also why the chart is released on Thursday instead of Monday. As for the greatest gainer, they apparently do not count something as greatest gainer for a certain area if it had a zero in that area the previous week; e.g. a song increasing from 5 to 9 million AI could be greatest gainer over a song going from 0 to 10 million. A good example of this is on the 1/26 chart when "Sure Be Cool If You Did" debuted at #1 on the digital songs chart, while "If I Didn't Have You" moved from #34 to #23, but the latter was awarded the digital greatest gainer honor.

Is there a pdf for the mid-week update? I would like to see if Billboard is bragging about Hunter breaking all sorts of chart records with "Wanted" returning to #1 after 51 weeks on the chart!!

February 14, 2013 (Hot Country Songs issue dated 2/23) www1.billboard.biz/bbbiz/photos/pdf/2013/Cmw_0214.pdf* They didn't really have much to say about Hunter. They briefly mentioned his return to #1 but didn't really comment on anything like the long gap between when it was originally #1 (before this silly chart). They noted that the song is 51 weeks old but haven't said anything about how it will most likely be on the chart for 70-some weeks.

Billboard changed the Hot Country Songs chart rules again........it now counts YOUTUBE views!!! Taylor Swift could get #1 based on Youtube views alone!! I wonder if WANEGBT will return to #1 again this week???

I wonder if WANEGBT will return to #1 again this week??? Just received my mid week update. Wanted by Hunter Hayes is #1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together gets back in the top ten at #9. Carrie Underwood has two top ten entries: Two Black Cadillacs at #4 and Blown Away at #10.

Direct Quote: "High atop Hot Country Songs, Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted” (Atlantic/Warner Music Nashville) benefits from the YouTube spike, adding Greatest Gainer nods for streaming and digital surges in its second straight (and third cumulative) week at the summit. His performance on the Grammy Awards and significant spins on Mainstream Top 40 stations also push “Wanted” to No. 1 in its 47th week on Country Digital Songs"
That just makes me want to throw my computer. It's not Hunter, I love his music. But a song that is #1 is there because of Pop/Youtube and they just down right admitted it! Its not even his current Country single, its his current Pop single that was once a Country single. Shameful! Billboard has made a mockery of Country music.

Looking at the rest of the update, I see on Hot Digital Songs that Tim McGraw's and Taylor Swift's Highway Don't Care tumbles from #1 to #21. They fall faster than Brad Paisley, except they stay on the chart!
