A point in that latest HCS issue above gets me mad. They have done this other times, but they said that Sara Evans has her biggest start on the chart ever, but they act like this is the same chart, that didn't undergo any massive reboot, there's no point to comparing records for the old chart to this mess. It's the same with the Cruise "record", it's pointless.

This issue marks the one-year anniversary of the ridiculous mongrel chart. It began with the Oct. 20, 2012 issue.

Did this not come out today? I've been checking my email and no one has posted it. So maybe they took Columbus day off?

Not sure what the deal is. They always announce a week beforehand if they're taking a Monday off due to a holiday.

No mention of a delayed chart for this week because of Veteran's Day, so it should be out tomorrow night.

Thanks for posting, churchchoir. What an odd chart this week. 15 songs without bullets? I see one station (WKMK Monmouth-Ocean, New Jersey) was temporarily removed from the panel due to technical issues, but that station in itself isn't that big. Lots of songs also had big weeks on Mediabase but much smaller than usual 'translations' to Billboard, but I suppose that's probably due to some of the Mediabase-only stations, most notably the Dial Global satellite radio stations. As for the un-bulleted songs, obviously "Aw Naw" is stalling and "It Goes Like This" is long done, and then of course the Jake, Miranda, and Brad songs are all mightily struggling...so that takes care of 5 of the 15. The Henningsens, Love & Theft, Sara Evans, Brothers Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, Gary Allan, Uncle Kracker, Rodney Atkins, and Colt Ford were all without bullets, and Toby Keith's new song debuted, but it didn't have a bullet? Very, very strange. I would say that a few of these songs are all but done, including those by The Henningsens, Love & Theft, and Uncle Kracker. Sara, Kacey, and Rodney barely lost their bullets and I think these songs have plenty of life left in them, although the Sara and Rodney songs are off to rather slow starts. Gary Allan will hopefully be able to turn it around as well, but it doesn't look like "I Miss You" will be the breakthrough hit that The Henningsens are after.

That is surprising to see so many songs without bullets. I wonder if we're getting a little glimpse of who will struggle the most over the holiday slowdown. I know it's still early, but I'm thinking that songs that are struggling now may be ones that don't recover from a loss of airplay due to Christmas music (if some of them even make it that far).

I wonder if radio has decided to crack down on letting mediocre music make its way higher up the chart than it should due to star status and/or promotion. Chris Young's song may collapse before it can get its turn at #1 and Blake's song may instead get another week at the top. We've got a series of pretty consistent hit-makers really struggling right now, including Taylor Swift, Jake Owen, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley (although I do think there's a good chance that "I Hold On" will become a slow-climbing airplay hit), and Eric Church. It almost feels like radio has become so interested in new artists that now the bigger names don't get hits nearly as easily (meaning, their songs can't be easily pushed to #1 and don't automatically go top 10, 15, or even 20). Even Tim McGraw couldn't knock Blake Shelton's song out of the #1 spot on Billboard this week. This is kind of interesting.
