“You Proof” spends a 52nd week on the Hot Country Songs chart. It entered the chart at #1 and from looking at charts from the following months, it doesn’t appear that it ever feel out of the top 10.
I think it would have to fall out of the top 10 in order to go recurrent which I don’t think will happen for a while longer!

Daves Highway - First Rodeo debuts at #59 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Their first career charting single at country radio.

I'm not really sure where else to put this shameless plug, so I guess this is the best-ish spot. I have decided to start a thread where I will be reviewing and grading songs as they debut on country radio! I feel like I am not as in tune with the mainstream charts as I used to be, and I am thinking this might be a good way to stay more in the loop. If anyone ever wants to check it out and/or follow along, here is the link :)
Basically, I'll be consulting this thread every week, and every song that debuts on Billboard will be added to the list of songs to review.

I just wanna say that I am shocked we are heading into the month of June and so far on Billboard we have had only 9 #1 singles on the airplay chart and that's it (for comparison 2022 had 17 by this time, 2021 had 14, and 2020 had 18). I will say it does make chart watching for me a bit more fun, as it makes the Billboard #1 feel truly earned as their has already been a fair amount of songs this year that were solid hits that missed out on #1 on Billboard ("Heart Like A Truck", "Wait In The Truck", "What He Didn't Do", "Handle On You", "Wild As Her", "Dancing In The Country"). Oh and here's the PDF s3.amazonaws.com/bulletins.billboard.com/country/country_update_2023_0522.pdf

Interesting to see Billboard adding Luke Combs remix of Life Goes On on Hot Country Songs chart after skipping it when the song charted on Hot 100.

I have been hearing multiple voices saying that it is hard to check the Canadian Airplay chart on the Billboard website, so I will try to update the chart on this thread every week for those who are interested.

What happened to Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time"? It is not showing on this update.

That Top 10 on the Billboard airplay chart is gonna probably be that way for a while as neither "Last Night" or "Dancing In The Country" are falling fast, and I expect the same thing for "Next Thing You Know" as well. Maybe once "Memory Lane" is dropped in a couple of weeks it will fall decently fast but that Top 10 is pretty lock solid and packed with hits as well.

I do wonder who will prove to be the weak link and give up first? Honestly the top 17 all look like they're going to not be dropping for a long while. I don't think all of them will hit the top obviously but none of them seem close to being done. (or will fall fast in the case of Morgan and Tyler.) I wonder if Luke Combs' "Love You Anyway" will drop earlier like what happened with Morgan Wallen a few weeks back. I'm guessing Thomas Rhett will be one of the first to drop.

Yeah Thomas Rhett and unfortunately Hailey Whitters I feel like are the clear weak links in the Top 20. For Rhett I wouldn't be shocked if they aim for a Top 10 and then drop it soon after especially with "Religiously" probably passing it sooner than later. As for Whitters, her song is just way too old to keep going much longer. I do think the difference between "Love You Anyway" and "One Thing At A Time" is that Combs' song has very great callout according to MMI (ranked #5 this week) where as Wallen's never had great callout.

Will the Billboard charts update tomorrow like normal or will it be Wednesday because of the holiday tomorrow? Wednesday according to Billboard's album chart and Hot 100 chart articles.
