From what I saw on All Access, "Old Town Road" is only being played on one station (15 times in the past week) so I'm confused as to how it debuted with such high AI and spins on BB?

Yup, there's a large number of iHeart stations that spun this 4 times this week (which I didn't see earlier...).

Ok so now my anger is at Bobby Bones, also Billy Ray Cyrus for being associated with this song and helping this song chart.
Seriously, in what universe is this country? Saying this is country is like saying Kanye West is country.

Bobby Bones is the reason it charted. All the spins, other than the station from Madison, WI (also iHeartMedia), came from Bobby’s show this past week.

It has 30+ starter stations. www.allaccess.com/mediabase/q/report/starters/song/LIL+OTR3/format/C1

If only Bobby actually used his power to support actual country artists. :(

Bobby Bones is and will always be a trash personality. I am so glad my local iHeart Station never added his show. His pathetic countdown is bad enough to listen to.

From Rollingstone "Danny Kang, who co-manages another viral country sensation, Mason Ramsey believes that Lil Nas X’s race had nothing to do with country’s decision to symbolically exile “Old Town Road.” “That’s a hip-hop song,” Kang says. After the publication of this story, a representative for Billboard provided a subsequent statement indicating that race did not play a part in the decision to remove “Old Town Road” from the country chart. None of this made much of a difference to Lil Nas X four months ago. He released “Old Town Road,” which suggests an unreleased Key & Peele spoof of the sub-genre dubbed “hick-hop,” in the first week of December, when the internet was crawling with cowboy memes. “[Lil Nas X] is very internet savvy — he understands how to play with the internet and manipulate it to create viral moments,” Kang says. His team started communicating with Lil Nas X on December 18. Lil Nas X was shrewd about positioning his banjo hip-pop mash. “On SoundCloud, he listed it as a country record,” Kang says. “On iTunes, he listed it as a country record. He was going to these spaces, gaining a little bit of traction on their country charts, and there’s a way to manipulate the algorithm to push your track to the top. That’s favorable versus trying to go to the rap format to compete with the most popular songs in the world.” www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/lil-nas-x-old-town-road-810844/

Why did "Rainbow" re-enter the Airplay chart this week?

Why did "Rainbow" re-enter the Airplay chart this week? It gained enough in audience impressions to re-enter the chart this week.

Could someone tell me the difference between the country airplay and indicator charts? Airplay is done through radio audience. Indicator does through radio spins on a different panel as well. Also indicator chart gives a better indication of whether or not a song is nearing the end (hence indication).

Indicator's panel (and Mediabase's Activator) are made up of smaller market stations that don't factor into the "big" chart.
