Toni's capable of better than "WBT". Someone needs a reality check. Really, don't mean to sound harsh like that, but, uh, seriously, I don't even know what else to say.

Toni's capable of better than "WBT". Someone needs a reality check. Really, don't mean to sound harsh like that, but, uh, seriously, I don't even know what else to say. To be brutally honest Mariah Carey's ballods were always boring and bland. There is a stretch from 1990 to about 1994 that she was just boring. I thought she bought nothing new to the table because she stood there and sung boring ballods about inspiration. Toni Braxton on the other hand her ballods were soulful and appealing to all audiences not at all boring... I don't need Mariah Carey fans breathing down my throat because I know Mimi can sing. To be honest again, what ballod besides "We Belong Together" and "Vision of Love" by Mariah Carey has been played on urban radio? "We Belong Together" is a master-piece. It's Mariah's best ballod to date and she finally had the sense to kick it up a tempo and incorporate other elements into her ballods besides a piano. Toni's new single which ever one radio jumps on the Babyface produced track or the Rodney Jerkins track will solidify this comeback for Toni.

I agree with you totally, but it's spelled BALLAD. Here's a way to remember this Sh*t is a ballad B-A-L-L-A-D

I can't believe there's actually 32 pages of "discussion" on this now.

Like I have stated before in this thread they need to put this sing;e to rest and come out with something that is relatable to her fans. Maybe she should try a ballad (please not "Sposed To Be") It's apparant to me that Toni needs a lot of help to make any sort of comeback

To be honest again, what ballod besides "We Belong Together" and "Vision of Love" by Mariah Carey has been played on urban radio? "We Belong Together" is Mariah's twelth ballad to hit the Top 10 R&B.... and that's not counting some songs that people would debate being a ballad like "Always Be My Baby".

I dont know about the Mariah comparions, but I think Toni always gives quality in her music and it's always better than everything else on the radio. This is a very classy, yet hot club song. She managed to put her signature style on a Scot Storch track.
I wouldnt call this song a total flop. Its heading for top 5 at urban AC. i know it may not be the largest format, but at least it shows that some people really love the song. I'm glad at least 1 format is showing Toni love.

The US music scene would be really awful w/o Urban AC.
She's getting closer to breaking 10mil at Urban AC, she's over 9.2 today.

This song would have been unstoppable if it had a strong bridge. I firmly believe that. Firmly.
A strong, solid bridge in place would have made the song more progressive, more appealing, less boring, and less empty. It would have served as the pinnacle of the song and would have given the song something to build up to. I mean, imagine "He Wasn't Man Enough" without the bridge...
The abscence of this essential element in the song is where the song went wrong.

I wonder why they never tried to release some type of remix with a rapper or something? That could have gained more interest at Urban.
