The Cumulus situation is just like one PD deciding not to add Adam. It just so happens that the one PD controls multiple stations with the same playlist.
It's like this class I had in college that was worth 6 credits instead of the normal 3. It was super annoying because one final counted for 6 whole credits, and if I didn't do well on that one final then I would have a huge hole to dig myself out of. But that's the way it was.
1 decision, many stations.
So really, that one decision is no different than, say, KKHH in Houston deciding not to add WWFM for whatever reason, except that Cumulus not adding WWFM is more frustrating for the fans & the label because they count for more. Anybody got any conspiracy theories as to why KKHH hasn't added WWFM?

if RCA thinks theres a situation, then there is a situation. stop making excuses for cumulus. cumulus is notorious for this. if the RCA radio promo guy is going on a "personal crusade" then its for a reason. the song is being played all over the countries and is #20 in airplay...dont tell me that its not testing well. it has very high ratethemusic numbers and was #1 on z100-the biggest station in the countries playlist. this is about one big block of stations not adding him, something that not alot of artists have to deal with and one that RCA is obviously trying to talk to cumulus about.

I dont see how my musical preferences prevent me from making an accurate observation about what is going on with this song and Adam as an artist. Adam fans have a tendency to claim HOMOPHOBIA everywhere. If someone doesnt like Adam or he does not get the royal treatment in every facet of the music industry, they all jump immediately to homophobia. I am simply making the claim that this is ridiculous. |

Why is someone with 10 posts arguing over who is trolling? I mean, if you're going to spend your time on Pulse worrying about trolls, at least be mature about it and even use correct grammar.
Also, this calling people out because they are fans of certain people is ridiculous. I tend to like Beyonce, Mariah, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson-- and the list goes on, I must be having terrible fights with myself over these artists since it's common knowledge that their fans don't like each other. Oh, or maybe it's the fact that not everyone is like that and they like who they tend to like. :/

Sometimes PDs want more proof that a song is a hit before they will add it. WWFM making the top 20 should convince more stations to play it. |

Just because he claims he never said that doesnt mean that he didnt. My guess is that he was told to make that tweet. I remember an appearance on a radio show where Adam did an "impression" of SuBo singing Wild Horses. Keeping that in mind, I dont think these recent remarks are too much of a stretch. That imitation was very light-hearted...and he stopped the DJs when they started calling her names. For people saying they don't hear it much...that's too bad. I guess I'm lucky, because both stations I listen to have it in power rotation (z100, and BLI) |

There's going to be both positive and negative opinions posted here just like there are in other threads. If you can't handle that, go to an Adam fan site or don't read this thread. Someone saying a song may be peaking or that they aren't a fan of Adam isn't trolling. Trolling is when one person constantly posts things that are obviously made just to rile people up, no one here is doing that. If anything krisella calling people out because they're fans of certain artists was more trollish than anything any of the "h8erz" psted. |

Well whatever is happening with Cumulus, I will still be surprised to see this song end here for no other reason than his label seems to be on a mission. Plus it is a good radio song. So that post from the RCA mod makes me think they will do whatever they have to do to rectify the situation. While it is certainly possible that homophobia has something to do with the Cumulus PD's decision, it is far from a given. I think its fair to ask the question at this point, but I don't think anybody should feel entitled to jump to a conclusion. Especially since it is perfectly plausible that they will actually add the thing in the next week or two. The problem with Adam is this respect is, like someone said upthread, he's gay but he's also pretty polarizing for reasons that have nothing to do with being gay. So it is hard to point to just one thing and call it THE reason any given person might reject Adam since he gives several plausible reasons to reject him. AND, we are not even sure he has really been rejected by Cumulus yet, they just might be late. They've added others late in the past. In short, just calm the f**k down. LOL.
