Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (86,000, -14 percent, 1.051 million) Brian still doesn't report the real numbers and doesn't include the remixes. We know that last week Adam sold 108K of WWFM and not 100K as Brian said. If we add 86K to those 972K we'll get 1.058M and not 1.051M.. I hope he fixes that.. I don't know if the remixes sold much this week, but Glee reached #10 in hot digital sales this week with 87K, so if the remixes sold even 1K he might still get top 10 in that chart. Still, platinum!

So do you guys think WWFM will sell 1,5 eventually or will that be hard?

Hmm it should get there eventually, but probably after it drops out of the top 200 (so we won't get confirmation).

It'll be interestng to track IIHY though. Hopefully Adam does a bit more radio promo this time around. I hope he visits every god damn radio station on every tour stop and drags monte and LG along for some acoustic wonders.

Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (86,000, -14 percent, 1.051 million) Hmm a bit lower than what we all expected but still nice :) With the remixes factored in the total is probably closer to 90k. The important thing is that the song continues to sell more than its pre Idol levels! and YAY FOR PLATINUM!

Congrats to Adam and probably more to Simon Fuller for all his promo paying off at least

Great! And who knows, the album might go platinum world-wide at some point if people think it's already over 800,000. Then he could use that when he talks about the album- that's what Kelly Clarkson did with 'My December.'

^ The album is being released officially in Europe only this week, he passed over 800K before it, and in Australia it climbed back up in their chart this week, so I think platinum world-wide is likely.

Canada has more of an emphasis on vocalists / pop rock. And this genre sells well worldwide. Just look at the all time top selling albums chart. The Canadians has a proportionally much larger representation at the top. Think Shania, Celine, Alanis, and Arvil. In comparison to the U.S., hip hop and R&B are less popular. Today, most top U.S. male pop artists are hip hop / r&b based. That makes it harder for Adam as he is more pop rock then pop r&b. It's hard for a white boy in pop america unless you are Bieber. Oh wait, Beiber is Canadian also. lol. It's in the water.

Adam Lambert, Whataya Want From Me (52,000, -39 percent, 1.103 million) content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/indexAdam remained the top selling Idol album in digital single sales this week. He had a steep drop due to being kicked out of the top ten on iTunes but his sales are still comparable to what he was selling before his Idol performance. Keep in mind sales are probably a little bit higher as USA Today does not include the remixes in weekly and total sold totals.

Ironically, this reached a new peak of #18 on Billboard's Hot Radio Songs chart this week despite the erosion of its pop audience. I guess this can be attributed to its gains on Hot AC and AC. On the Billboard Adult Pop Songs WWFM moves up to a new peak of #4 and on the Billboard Adult Contemporary the song moves up to a new peak of #14.

So last week when it lost less POP spins it dropped from #20 to #22 on Billboard's Hot Radio Songs chart and this week when it lost more it reached a new peak of #18? I'd love to know how they calculate this chart lol. P!nk tweet:

Cracks the top ten on AC today!!!! This is the second format the song has gone top ten on (Hot AC was the first). And ofcourse, we can't forget it made the top ten on the almighty Billboard Hot 100!!!!!!!! Pop radio really missed the boat on this one It's rare that a song goes top ten on Hot AC and AC but not pop.

It's rare that a song goes top ten on Hot AC and AC but not pop. I don't think it's all that rare, actually. There are lots of artists who are big on AC/HotAC but not on Pop anymore. Lifehouse, ROB THOMAS, Celine Dion, etc.

Aww man. I wish it had gone Top 10 on Pop, but the poor song had an uphill battle and obstacle after obstacle thrown at it from Day 1.
It would have been cool to have it go Top 10 on Pop, Hot AC, AC and the Hot 100 but whatevs.
In other news, WWFM debuts at #5 on the official German singles chart! That's amazing! I think Adam will do very well in Germany
I hadn't really pegged Germany as a country that would go batshit over Adam, but apparently they are. Interesting.

Huh? There are tons of songs that go top 10 on HAC and AC but not Pop. The current AC top 10 has FFY, HMYY, Someday, Smile, HW and WWFM that all fit the profile.

Wow, #7 in the Netherlands? That's awesome!
I dunno what it is about the Nordic countries, but they seem to love WWFM.

Someday, Smile, and HW are not currently in the Hot AC Top 10...and I am not certain if they ever were. WWFM is in the Hot AC AND AC Top 10 at the same time. It's rare that a song goes top ten on Hot AC and AC but not pop. I don't think it's all that rare, actually. There are lots of artists who are big on AC/HotAC but not on Pop anymore. Lifehouse, ROB THOMAS, Celine Dion, etc. Rob Thomas is 38 years old. Celine Dion is 42 years old. Adam is 28 years old lol. Once you approach upper 30's it becomes more difficult to find success on pop radio. In conclusion, it's probably not as rare as I orinigally thought but I don't think it's all that common either.

Well yeah those three have all long gone recurrent on HAC. They were all top 5 there though. And they probably were still top 10 when they reached the AC top 10. It's very common.

I don't think people are saying he's doing better, just that both of them are kinda equal. Adam had a strong push outside US that Kris didn't have.
Anyway, interesting to see the European countries where the song is charting. Mainly in the north/east europe. Which is not a surprise.
