I agree in that I think Adam does more with it - but I liked her performance of it and I loved that she said what she did on the intro. She wrote the song, she didn't have to mention Adam at all. The fact that she did and that she gave him a huge compliment is :o.

Since it is No.1 on german pop radio, it was probably better to make some kind of introduction, because if she just sang it, people might have been like 'WTH? i know this song a guy is singing it'. But the compliment was really really cool! What a lady!
I like the version even though it is almost the same. She has different tone of voice. It works.

Hmmm.....Is Pink going to sing this at every performance in Europe? Does she know that it hasn't been released in some countries such as UK and Ireland yet? If her audience don't even know it was recorded by Adam, they would be like 'WTF ???'.

Why would fans of Pink go WTF about an unfamiliar song at her concert. Artists often do new material at their shows. It's not a big deal.
WWFM is a terrific song. It's def the best song on Adam's album and I think he'll have a tough time matching its success. The songs like FYE and IIHY just don't work for him. He needs Pink to give him some more material. :)

Also, it's not like the German people don't know WWFM. The song is now #1 in airplay in Germany.

Me and some friends went karaokeing recently and we sang this song. It was really cute how they all knew the words but didn't care for or know much about Adam.

I find that's true for alot of artists. I can sing along to a ton of songs on the radio and I like them, but I have no idea who sings them, and if I do, I usually don't care. I don't know why that is.
ETA-Back up to #49 on iTunes. It was close to #60 earlier.

There used to be a local station (long time ago) that at the end of every song would say the name of the song. Thought it was a great idea, then satellite radio came around and the station was a casualty of that format.
I used to get really upset when I heard a song I liked and had no idea who it was. Now that I follow radio charts that rarely happens.

Pink's wasn't that good, but I don't like Adam's live versions either. If there were a Pink studio version I'd probably like it less than Adam's though.

Pink performing this live is kind of odd but oh well...I still love her. WWFM moves up to a new peak of #3 on HOT AC and #9 on AC  HUGE! This song has had great longevity...which may be a reason why IIHY is off to a slow start. |

I loved that before performing it she said "I found the guy who could sing it better than me, so I gave it to him." She obviously rejected it for a reason. Because it wasn't the greatest. Either way, I think she sounds good on it, but Adam's is definitely better, so I'm glad she gave it to him instead. I do think she's performing this on the entire tour, so she'll get better at performing it as well. This was the first live performance of it for her. What I think it shitty is that even though Adam's is better, if P!nk had put this on Funhouse and released it, it probably would've been #1. Top 5 at the least. |

She's actually made comments about it and even said shit she'd only know if she read it. I think its also why we got some Try This material back on tour as well. Anyways.. this isn't Pink's thread, so I'll stop. But I would guess thats why she performed it. Either way, its still good promotion for Adam in Europe. |
