Adam seems like a really sweet, intelligent, snarky, funny person to me. :) But sure, opinions on people's personalities are always going to differ.
Glad to see today's update is better--HAC really seems to be taking off, and hopefully pop will reignite too.

^^^ He's not "right." He has an opinion. A lot of people like Susan Boyle's album. It's not earth-shattering, but it's pretty. Saying he's "Right" is just agreeing with the opinion stated in the quote. I happen to completely agree with the quote, I just don't believe that it's an accurate Adam quote. But I'm happy that you and others like it - thats fine.

Yeah, Adam's personality can definitely be off-putting at times. There are moments where I find him humorous and compassionate, but there are also many other times where I find him to be b*tchy and a bit "too big for his britches". In short, I can see why people would dislike him.

Re Adam's personality, oh, boy. Here I was, weirded out that people were talking about the "catchiness" of a song as an objective thing. You guys do realize that personality is a subjective thing? Unless the artist in question has abused a child or joined the KKK, you can't use your take on his personality as anything at all, other than your take. As with the catchiness of a song, those of you who like him can go on about how wonderful he is; those of you who don't like him can go on about how obnoxious he is. And that's about it. Nothing that's said will have any objective validity at all, nor will you convince anyone through argument. Re the SuBo thing, imo it's his opinion, and he has a right to it, but then I had the same take on Clay Aiken's opinion of Adam's singing. It's an opinion, and he had the right to express an opinion. I don't know at the moment if this will have long-term consequences. With apologies. Yeah, it's their take on his personality. Nobody said their take was the absolute truth. So I'm not seeing the problem. Unless it's not okay to express any kind of opinion anymore. Just like Adam has every right to say Susan Boyle's album is terrible and laughable and sacrilegious, or whatever else he wants to call it, people have the right to call him a jerk for saying it. Having the right to say it doesn't mean people aren't going to think you're tactless for dissing a fellow artist, a peer, in such a manner. If I recall Adam fans (and others) called Clay a jerk for what he said about Adam. This is no different.

^^ The only difference is Soundscene that Clay posted his comments about Adam on his blog whereas Adams alleged comment was in an article that gets published and he tweets that he has been misquoted straight after. And this is pretty much the only new article out there so it's not unreasonable to think that this is what he's talking about.
Until Adam owns the comment all this is just speculation.

He can be a sweet, intelligent guy but he can also be an arrogant idiot. His personality changes depending on the situation. It makes it more difficult to assess when he's being real and when he's being fake.

And this is pretty much the only new article out there so it's not unreasonable to think that this is what he's talking about. Until Adam owns the comment all this is just speculation. He hasn't un-owned it though. He vaguely said that somewhere he was misquoted. He didn't say how, he didn't say where and he didn't say what. And it wasn't straight after--it was a full day after. Really, though, how can you misquote that quote. lol. It's like 3 sentences long and it's pretty specific. Maybe he meant it in jest, in which case the context was changed. But that's not a misquote. And even in jest it sounds bad. He could have called Susan Boyle his sweet little boo beforehand, then said that quote, and it would still sound douchey. The only way Adam comes out smelling like roses here is if the interviewer just lied and made the whole thing up. And if that had happened, Adam wouldn't have said "misquote," he would have said "lie." ETA: I don't actually mean to pile onto Adam here. I really don't. I just don't get why people can't believe he said that. He's human.

From the comments he's made in the press and on his Twitter that I've seen, I feel like Adam is a giant b***h, which is the main reason why I dislike him.

Adams a sweet guy. Im friends with his ex Drake, and the one time i met Adam he was nothing but sweet. Hes got an edge, and im sure can have his moments (but, lets face it, dont we all?) Besides, he has raised so much money for charity and different things. He has a good heart. HES NOT JOHN MAYER, ok? ANYWAYS: IDOL SALES UPDATES/ ALBUMS. Everybody was down in the TOP 200, except Subo, who was up 1% Carrie Underwood, Play On (21,000, -19 percent, 1.340 million total) Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (12,000, -14 percent, 531,000)Daughtry, Leave This Town (10,000, -32 percent, 952,000) Kris Allen, Kris Allen (4,000, -31 percent, 265,000) Carrie Underwood, Some Hearts (4,000, -26 percent, 6.943 million) Daughtry, Daughtry (4,000, -26 percent, 4.638 million) Single sales will be posted when available... cant seem to find them yet.

It makes it more difficult to assess when he's being real and when he's being fake. Isn't that kind of true about most people though? I mean everyone can have their redeeming qualities/moments. I just think the bad outweighs the good in those departments with Adam. At least from what I've seen and heard from him post Idol.

I've always thought Adam was fake. From his personality to his music. I feel like it's all just a character for him, a performance.

Great news about the Cumulus thing, maybe it means something, maybe not.
Sales are still holding for Adam, not terrific but still OK.
If our friends and loved ones judged us on two or 3 comments made over the course of year, that would be pretty sad. Seems to me that the mature thing to do is find out about a person, not just decide you think they're a jerk based on a few off the cuff comments or something written in a rag newspaper. If people judged me by a few comments nobody would speak to me :'(

He's like the opposite for me. I love his personality so much...he has a relatable sense of humor, and he's really honest. Watching his interviews is always refreshing. Did you see the fan chat he did the other day? It was great! There's 5 other parts that can be found on YT or on his website. OMG!!! I hadn't seen that...love love love looooove!!! I agree with you -- I always enjoy Adam's interviews! He was so personable and charming on Leno and Chelsea Handler! I heard him do a great radio interview with Ryan Seacrest a few weeks ago too. I think the reaction to his alleged comment about Susan Boyle is way ott. LOL you would think he killed her cats or something. Adam consistently goes overboard to support other artists; it's rather sad to see people characterizing him the one time he's expressed a negative opinion about someone else's music. IMO people just look for reasons to attack him. Anyway, glad Adam will have a gold single to go with his gold album next week! Onward and upward!

He does have a very off putting personality, imo. He does leave a sour taste in my mouth a lot of the time with his attitude/comments. He's like the male equivalent of Kelly Clarkson for me: I think he's talented and like his music, but dislike his personality. I wouldn't mind if he'd leave a sour taste in my mouth...

He can be a sweet, intelligent guy but he can also be an arrogant idiot. His personality changes depending on the situation. It makes it more difficult to assess when he's being real and when he's being fake. I more have the impression that he has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth and be a bit too honest from time to time. The quote on wild horses is spot on (quoted right or wrong), though not very PC. I think we would have heard more about problematic working relations if he was an arrogant prick.
