Where'd that list come from? It doesn't seem to be at Billboard.biz

^I can tell you right now that I already hate the change. They just took the highest selling songs that are labeled country songs and listed them in order despite the fact that a significant amount of the sales from the Taylor Swift song and the Lady Antebellum song were generated by pop radio airplay and not country airplay. How do you measure what's popular on country radio? Need U Now has already peaked at the country radio format. Dude did you read that article at all? It's the highest selling songs in a genre. not the songs that generated the most sales from a specific radio format. the whole point is to NOT only have radio to judge what's most popular is a specific format of music. I'm pretty those are all country songs regardless of what stations are playing them. thanks though, for not reading. that's always cool.

The article doesn't say anything about the stated goal you suggested. That's what you added on. I'm thinking in the future but first it starts as a genre based sales chart then before you know it the sales end up counting as part of the overall genre chart. I may have taken the part of being included in the BB charts the wrong way. Additionally, I spoke with the head charts editor myself and he understood exactly what my concerns were as it relates to genre based sales charts, thank you. If what you say is true, then the country music listeners should be deciding what's the most popular in that genre/format not a billboard chart editor.
