Can't wait until ROCK YOUR BODY gets a release date. It should go for adds in mid April.

Yay! Congrats to the Peas! When is the last time a 4th single went #1?(not counting re-releases?). Wait was it Fergie, with BGDC? Hmmm
Ke$ha had 9 weeks at the top! Amazing! Blah stays at #11! Nice to see One Republic, Ga-Bey, Rihanna, and Mimi all move up too!

I must say I'm glad somebody ended Ke$ha's reign at the top. Hopefully she doesn't end up there again with "Barf Barf Barf".

Imma Be is dumb down awful-ness x1000. Meet Me halfway- waaay better and should have gotten the love Imma Be is getting. In the UK it did as it went #1 there, but still. I like the Peas and have no issues with them scoring #1s after #1s, but Imma Be is just so not #1 quality. Top 20 or Top 10 at the most.

"Meet Me Halfway" was easily the most bearable of their singles so far - Fergie's verses in the chorus are quite cute.

But oh well, anything to knock off TT from the top.

Meet Me Halfway>>>>>>> Imma Be. Kinda mad that Tik Tok didn't log 10 weeks, but congrats to BEP for their third #1 this era. Amazing accomplishment. Wish MMH woulda peaked higher though, that was a solid song IMO.

I was hoping Ke$ha would stay on top for another week. I didn't expect "Imma Be" to go #1.

If they would've released Alive in place of MMH, I'd bet they would have had their first 4 singles from the album go #1. I knew MMH was a mistake (even though it was still a hit). "Meet Me Halfway" sh!ts all over "Alive". I highly doubt that would've happened, but that's just my opinion. Eh, MMH is a favorite around here I'm well aware of that, but Alive easily had more hit potential, imo. MMH was too much of a throwback to ever hit it really big, the only reason it was even a top 10 was because of the incredible momentum they had coming right off of 26 weeks at #1.

What was the last Hot 100 #1 hit to log only 9 weeks on top?
I think it's been a long time since the last one.

I'm starting to think everytime BEP performs a song live on national TV, chances are it will go #1. Can't believe they're uber-successful now. I actually wrote them off long time ago, but they proved me wrong. This has got to be one of the best eras, ever.
And 64-23 Rihanna Rude Boy; I hope this gets into the top 10 or top 5 even. It's so catchy. That Ellen performance really helped it.

Congrats to the BEP for finally dethroning Que$ha Praise God! I like "Imma Be". I'm happy to see it at #1 (even though I was sick of seeing them at #1 last year). But love them or not, there's no denying that their Hot 100 success this era is nothing short of incredible.

Yes- it's the public (by way of sales) and radio programmers (with some input from listeners) that determine the charts- as always, has nothing to do with quality, so I don't know why people keep going on about how this didn't deserve this or that- it's as much of a broken record as some of the things I say, though it doesn't seem to get as much flack. :)
I don't like "Imma Be" at all, but great for BEP to keep racking up those hits.

The "True Blue" song did not peak at #1 in the USA. It hit #1 on the Eurochart though (ironically, OYH was the only non-#1 on the Eurochart from that album, I believe)

The "True Blue" song did not peak at #1 in the USA. It hit #1 on the Eurochart though (ironically, OYH was the only non-#1 on the Eurochart from that album, I believe) "Open Your Heart" could be considered the fourth single though. I remember listening to Casey Kasem's Top 40 show back in the early 90s, when he did NOT consider "Live To Tell" the first single off "True Blue", since it was released before the album was announced or something. So I'm not sure about that one... It would be like including all of the Bee Gees songs that were released prior to "Saturday Night Fever" to that soundtracks accomplishments. I remember back in the early 90s, we didn't consider a song a single from a given album, unless the album was mentioned on the cover/sleeve design by either: "From the [Label name] album [Album title]", or "From the forthcoming [Label name] album [Album title]". The British boyband East 17, released a single called "All Around The World", and the single credits mentioned it being from the "Forthcoming EastWest album "Around The World"." The track was later included on the re-named album "Steam". Still, it was not considered one of the singles from "Steam".
