"Chasin' Girls" was a great song...it's really too bad that they didn't release it a year ago.

They were smart to move on from "It's America" (the album) towards another one. two 'failed' singles sank the success of this record.

well that and then "Chasin' Girls" (re-worked). Still, always smart to move on from an album from an established artist after something like that happens.

yeah, I agree....it's too bad though, because I think the album had potential if they worked it right...

I like this, it's NOTHING original but it's good enough. I just wonder when he is going to sing a song that isn't simply made for radio success and do a song that actually establishes himself as an artist.

I think this is a pretty solid song for Rodney...it's not quite as good as his other #1's (which critcs hate), but Rodney sings this one with almost a bit of wry humor in it, it's a good one for him. He's either been huge hit (If You're Going Through Hell, Watching You, These Are My People, Cleanin This Gun) or huge miss (Invisibly Shaken, Chasin Girls) it seems (15 minutes being the only exception, peaking in the middle. With Rodney sounding pretty good here, and a good summer feel to this single, I'll predict it'll hit #1. I'm disappointed Chasin Girls didn't take off... :( but glad for new music from Rodney!!

Let's not forget the hit "Honesty (Write Me A List)" and the other misses "In A Heartbeat" "God Only Knows" "Sing Along" "My Old Man" "Some One To Share It With" "Monkey In The Middle" he actually has a lot more misses than hits really. I've been looking for the music video for "In A Heartbeat" for a long time though...

I think this is gonna get Rodney back in the top 10. I think this along with Ottos, Worleys, and Turners new ones will all be a top 10 in summertime!

Well, we can hope at least. ;) This is pretty solid, but as mentioned already, not original. I actually don't think this will get him back into the top ten, and actually, I think radio may be done with him. We'll see though...

It could just be poor singles choices from Curb Records (see Tim McGraw for that-Let It Go CD choices, anyone?). I would love to see Curb properly market BOTH McGraw and Rodney Atkins, so they can get a double bang for their buck. Looking at their hit lists, I see one thing: Both artists scored a #1 in one year only between 2004-present. A timeline: 1. McGraw collects a #1 in 2004 with Back When. 2. Atkins collects his first in 2006 with If You're Going Through Hell Before The Devil Even Knows (the year's biggest). 3. Atkins follows up with the biggest hit in 2007 with Watching You (how lucky was he during this time?). 4. McGraw rules the charts for one week with Last Dollar Fly Away. 5. Atkins gets further #1s with These Are My People (2007) and Cleaning This Gun Come On In Boy (2008). 6. Atkins' amazing chart run gets interrupted by Invisibly Shaken (and not stirred) in 2008 (#41). 7. Atkins gets two major hits in 2009 with It's America (#1) and 15 Minutes (#20). 8. McGraw gets his first #1 in almost three years with Southern Voice in 2010. Really, when you take a look at this past six years with BOTH artists, you tend to get a sense that they really promote one over the other. This will be McGraw's year (not only in having a #1 hit with another top 20 on the way with Still), but also having a movie doing very well in January with The Blind Side. ANY comments are appreciated!

ANY comments are appreciated! If "15 Minutes" is going to be considered a "major hit", then we would HAVE to include all of McGraw's singles from the "Let It Go" era in as major hits as well, given they all outpeaked "15 Minutes". Sorry, but "15 Minutes" was a clear underachiever, as were half the singles from the "Let It Go" era. Sincerely, Lisping Hibiscus

Yes, but had Invisibly Shaken hit #1, Rodney Atkins would have had the second country CD to contain FIVE #1s (with Rodney Crowell being the first with his Diamonds & Dirt CD). Since 15 Minutes DID hit the top 20, I DO remember my station playing it quite a few times (unlike Invisibly Shaken).

'Invisibly Shaken' is my favorite Rodney Atkins song to date! There is also a similarly awesome ballad on his second CD, "The River Just Knows", which I also love...

Finally heard the song on the radio. I like it a lot. I just wish Rodney was more popular with country radio, because I like just about all his songs. Hopefully this does well for him

I also hope this gets Rodney going again. Critics might not like a lot of his music, and to a certain extent I can see why, but Rodney gives the people songs they want and like, and ones they can relate to...this isn't my favorite Rodney song, but it's still pretty good and it's good to see new music from him. I was sad that Chasin Girls didn't do well AT ALL, so here's to a return for Rodney!

I'm pretty sure I officially dislike him at this point... He's lost all of the originality and any other redeeming trait he's had. He needs to go back to the excellencies of the aforementioned ballads "The River Just Knows," "Invisibly Shaken," and "Honesty," or the fun originality of songs like "If You're Going Through Hell."

Well, I find the song a decent listen...but then again I'm a pretty loyal Rodney fan, so I like just about all of his songs. This song is starting to really catch on on my local radio station...anybody got any prediction for when this one will make its top 60 debut (whether you like the song or not)?

I like this a lot. It kind of reminds me of Aldean's "Green Tractor."

^I also loved Chasin Girls...reviews for it weren't that great, but it was probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite Rodney song...I think my favorite is still "If You're Going Through Hell" with "Cleaning This Gun" and "Chasin Girls" competing for a close 2nd/3rd race. Watching You and These Are My People were good, but I'd have to put "It's America" and "Honesty" just ahead of them, in 4th and 5th respectively. I didn't really care for "15 Minutes" as it was too stereotypical of general country themes; not nearly original, imo. And "Invisibly Shaken" was great, just not radio friendly. "Farmer's Daughter" is a decent song, and I hope radio gives Rodney another shot...I think he could make T15 with this one by September, if it catches on. At the very least, I AM predicting this one to debut on the 4/17 BB chart...

I like it, does remind me a lot of "Big Green Tractor" however.

I too can see some "Big Green Tractor" in this one, but there is also something else it reminds me of but I just can't put my finger on it! Oh well...this song isn't my favorite out there, but I enjoy Rodney's music for the most part and this one has gotten a pretty strong initial reaction so far, especially with Rodney not having a really big hit in the past year or so...

Seems that this one has all the 'makings' of at least a Top 20 hit for Rodney.

this is a great little song and I hope it turns into a big hit for him. It does seem to be off to a good start and I think a video would be great to have for this single. I've already been hearing this one on the airwaves more than I ever heard "Chasin' Girls".
