Did everyone know theres a guy version of this song ?? Its a reponse back at Teairra Mari. It has the same beat and everything but the chrous goes is there any girls around that know how to make a thug feel, make him feel good. This is like 2k5 no scrubs or something. What the hell is this about ?? Im thinking its a way to generate hype around the artists.

Im tired of people saying "this is the next No Scrubs/No Pigeonz" deal....there have been "comeback" or answer songs to a number of hits over the past few years, including 50 Cent's "21 Questions" (Lil Mo and Free did the girl version) and Mario Winans' "I Don't Wanna Know", Nina Sky and Angie Martinez did the female answer version. It's nothing really new...

This isnt taking off nearly as fast as i thought it would but its holding up nicely. It probably would bee taking off faster if this was done by some1 who was actually known (Mya, or Chrisitna Milian) but this still loooks like it will be a hit...just not as big as this song could be. This is kinda like Keysha Cole syndrom: Right song, wrong artist. But she is having MUCH better luck than keyshia.

Having Jay-Z 100% behind your project certainly won't hurt. Teairra is nothing like Keyshia Cole's situation.

I didnt say Teairra is goin through what Keyshia is, i said she is doin MUCH better than Keyshia but I do believe that if this song was done by a known artist, it would have a much bigger instant impact. Just like Keyshias 1st 2 singles that were good songs and would have done better if they were done by some1 familiar. This is going to be a grower at radio because she isnt well known. But if some1 with a decent track record like Mya for example, released this as her 1st single, it would be more of an instant success. But this will definately be a sleeper hit over the summer.

But being a new artist is not legit enough because Ciara was once a new artist and her song Goodies jumped off quicker then some of these established artists. There are so many reasons this song may not be climbing as fast as you expect but by her being a new artist is a huge possiblity, I agree to an extent.

New disposable r&b females need something in your face that will easily explode like "goodies." "make her feel good" IMO is more for an established artist.

I was referring to this: This is kinda like Keysha Cole syndrom: Right song, wrong artist. I dont think you can say that because we dont know where Teairra's song is going to end up. If it "flops" like Keyshia Cole, then you can say that, but until then... If "Make Her..." goes Top 10, you can't use the "Right song, wrong artist" thing because the song was still a hit. Doesnt matter if someone else did it, ok so maybe it would have spent 10 weeks at #1, but that's splitting hairs at that point.

i think u are missing my point. So let me try to simplify. By right song, wrong artist I meant that "make her feel good" would have exploded by now if some1 else more established sung it. Teairra will probably make it a hit as well, but its just going to take longer because she is a unknown, disposable r&b chick. It wil propbably be one of those hits that creeps up during the summer.

I understand what you are saying there, but not where you are bringing Keyshia Cole into it. Keyshia Cole already has 2 flops under her belt, and Teairra's song is still building. That alone discredits the comparison.

I used Keyshia cole because she also has 2 songs that are good and could have been hits if another artist sung them. "i changed my mind" had a killer beat, was produced by Kanye and could have been a big hit for some1 like Monica for example. The same goes for "i just want it to be over." They both could have done better if some1 else sung them. Right song, wrong artist.
Teairra is not suffering the same fate as Keyshia but i think her song could also be doing better if some1 else sung it. but I think she will end up getting a hit though.

but I think she will end up getting a hit though. Exactly, and this is why it's moot point because it's going to be a hit anyway. Nobody else needs to make it a hit because Teairra will make it one on her own, as "long" as it may take.

What if the song goes #1?? How can it be a bigger hit if someone else sang it? Maybe it would have ascended the charts faster, but how can you say a song that is still in the midst of blowing up, "can be a bigger hit"?? ??? It shouldn't matter "how fast" a song explodes up the chart. What should matter is the end result and the peak position, and in the case of this song, we don't know that yet.

I was only making an observation based on the current performance of the song and my personal opinion which is it would currently be doing much better if some1 well known was singing it. As far as if a song blowing up fast or slow is more important wasnt the point.

I'd like "Make her feel good" to make a hit because I really like this song, plus I'd have liked other newcomer Brooke Valentine to reach the top and she didn't manage to do it (far from it). Do you have pics of Teairra?

She has almost lost her bullet at urban. Perhaps Jay-Z doesnt have as much clout as people think.

It doesn't have a very strong sound that a lot of people would like. I have only heard another clip from her ("Daddy") but even that is better than this. I don't think it has to do with Jay-Z's clout.

I mentioned Jay-Z's clout because some1 said earlier that this would be a hit because jay-Z was behind her. Personally, as I said b4 this song would have done much better if it was done by an established artist.

Did the song even go for adds yet?
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but here's the Billboard Review:
TEAIRRA MARÍ Make A Girl Feel Producer(s): Sean Garrett & the Co-Stars Writer(s): various Publisher(s): various Genre: R&B/HIP-HOP Label/Catalog Number: Roc-a-Fella/Def Jam DEFR 16272 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: April 23, 2005
R&B newcomer Teairra Marí is already being touted as "The Young Princess of the Roc." The 17-year-old Detroit native is also one of the first signings under the Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter-helmed Def Jam. Over a pulsating, engaging beat--a Jay-Z hallmark--Marí confidently lays out just what a woman wants emotionally while simultaneously challenging potential suitors to step up to the plate. Her vocal delivery will likely draw comparisons to Ashanti and Ciara. Still, this young princess makes a lasting first impression and piques curiosity for the rollout of her debut Roc-a-Fella album, scheduled for June.

^^ She looks totally different in each pic. In the last one, she reminds me of Aaliyah with the hair and shades.
