I have Faith and will continue to have Faith in this song...just like I did with "Again"...."Mesmerized" is back to 6 million at overall urban....and still rising... 51 48 FAITH EVANS Mesmerized 799 713 86 6.254....so everyone lets not give up yet...start requesting the video and the song at radio, BET, VH1, MTV, MTV2...and any other outlets...
Also can someone post an mmr24 list for the song like they did for "again"....

yeah, this turned around from LOSING spins to having more spins than it's ever had. It's got 913 spins over all, the previous peak was 710 two weeks ago. Keep on keepin' on, Faith... BET needs to give the video more play.

it seems this song is getting really good reviews and buzz in the UK, and after "Again" being her biggest solo hit there, we should keep an eye out to see if "Mesmerized" doesn't do something good out there. I really hope this song takes off, I think if radio stations warm up to it one at a time it has a chance. This album is so solid, one of the most solid contemporary R&B albums of the last few years. If this single is a hit it gives her momentum to have a big string of them.

I love the song....deliver the damn remix Faye & capitol... It is a good CD, I just think Mariah is over shadowing her... and rap leads the industry. I hope Capitol doesnt give up on her...

hmmm how can you say that they dont compete for air time? Mariah is owning Urban Radio right now... the African American community is really feeling her and the CD..... Mariah was really a POP and CHR/Rythm star now she has really "Beyonced" it all up again raking in Urban Audiences. I am not talking about vocally. There is not other female artist other than Ciara right now...Lil Moe, Amerie, and Brooke are not making an impression only Mariah and Faye somewhat..

yeah it's true, Mariah is big time at Urban this year. The only other females out there right now are Faith, Ciara, and Amerie. Ciara's getting big hits but she can't sing and most everyone knows it... and it looks like Amerie may be stuck without getting another single to do anything at all. Faith's the other big female urban artist for 05, especially once she racks up further singles off this album.

Yeah the Mariah comparisons aren't even realistic because Mariah is actually PROMOTING her shit where Faith is not.

I'm not going to discuss the promotion in this thread... she's did a lot of promo up until now, and now she's on a busy tour so it gets a lot harder...
Total audience: up to 7.497M from 6.732M, up to 965 from 785 spins from 546 Urban (up from 465) and 392 UAC (up from 283) plus 24 Rhythmic and 3 Alternative spins
no video plays this week-- that's a problem. BET needs to get on it!

I lost hope and faith in this song. It is not probably going to do too well now--that is facing reality. I did not think that the song would do that well. It is too throwback and older-sounding. While I do like the song, it is not really a commercial hit for radio today. She should have tried GOIN' OUT which everyone hates or JEALOUS because here in Chicago, they were playing JEALOUS as the next single and it got some good response--much better than MESMERIZED. Then in the late summer, autumn, she can release TRU LOVE because that song is "hot."

to be brutally honest, i like this song and promotion is what seems to bring in listeners. mariah promotes her music all over the place...thus she's seeing success. faith and toni on the other hand need better promotion. when again first came out faith was everywhere and she got solid air play from the urban market.

To tell you the truth, MC has an entire label soley behind her. (well the Killers too) Faiths label is a mess, and so is Toni's (But at lest it looks like they are getting they're sh!t Together) IF ever artists label focused on them they good have smash singles nad albums

alot of artists dont have a strong enough work ethic and dont promote themselves the right way.....not so much Faith, but Toni is a perfect case of a lazy singer..........every label wants to make money of their artists and most will do what they can , but sometimes either your material isnt good enough, ur too lazy to do what the label wants or in a few cases its the labels a mess....but i dont think everytime someone doesnt do well the blame should go to the label if your material is really good the label will get behind you and promote it right

i just hope the label feels encouraged enough, and faith herself, to push this to at least top 20. and if not i hope they realize that the album has at LEAST one more hit on it, and a huge one-- Tru Love

This CD does have two hits in the wings waiting for release. Tru Love is one. Jealous or Ever Wonder are the other possible hits. I am sure she will get 3 single not sure about 4. On the topic of promotion. Faith is not Mariah and doesn't have the draw of a MC, so she won't have as many opportunities to promote like Megastar MC. So its not a fair comparison on her ability to promote with MC. Now Toni B is finally picking up some promo for "Please". This song, "Mesmerized" is not all the way dead yet, I think it has two more lives, nee- "Again".

yeah, it's stalled at the radio for the second time now. i've never seen a song handle more than 3 stalls (never say never, but...) so IF it recovers from this stall, it better be a really strong recovery.
it's really weird watching a Faith single struggle, after 10 straight top 20s, but I guess it happens to everyone sooner or later.
ON A HIGH NOTE, "Tru Love" is shown by various sources as being the most popular album track across the board... if we hear this is being tapped as the third single we can expect another hit.

''Mesmerized'' is an amazing track. Unfortunately, it's not that radio friendly, based on current radio climate.

Sadly, this song has worn itself out to me. I shouldn't have gotten it on iTunes because KMEL plays it enough as it is.
