Heathens would still be ahead of Waste a Moment based on my estimates....
(KOL should get the #1 next week, since WAM is only 10 weeks old and the label should continue pushing it since it still has room to grow.)
A few other estimates for the alt chart:
Ophelia could return back to #10 tomorrow (or even #9 at the rate Bang Bang is falling, though Still Breathing's quick ascent will counter that), with KJEE spinning it more along with River. Both JEW and B182 should pass it next week.
She's Out of Her Mind, Blood in the Cut, Talk Too Much and High and Low should pass River and send it recurrent tomorrow, along with Low Life. Going the Distance will be leaving as well, and 50/50 chance Boss leaves too.
Go Robot or We Don't Know will finally enter the top 20. Both will be in the top 20 next week once Phantogram is sent recurrent (see BITC prediction), unless both Somebody Else and 7 continue to quickly gain spins
7 should be able to re-pass Hymn for the Weekend.
My Name Is Human and Wish I Knew You will be the two likely debuts this week, with the other possible debuts being Higher and Loveblood.

I hope the Naked and Famous "Higher" finally debuts. Fate knows; it has paid its dues- in the bottom 41-50; for a while ,now. There are quite a load of great songs in the 11-20 slots. I wonder if they are being saved for the beginning of 2017?

While nobody was paying attention, the top of the Mainstream Rock chart has become loaded with good stuff. Here's how I'd classify each band appearing on the chart (bands listed alphabetically):
A Day To Remember: Ascendant Newcomers Adelitas Way: 10-Year Staples Alter Bridge: 10-Year Staples Avenged Sevenfold: 10-Year Staples Beartooth: Carving A Niche Breaking Benjamin: Seasoned Veterans Chevelle: Seasoned Veterans Devour The Day: Ascendant Newcomers Dinosaur Pile-Up: First Big Hit Disturbed: Seasoned Veterans Five Finger Death Punch: 10-Year Staples Gemini Syndrome: Carving A Niche Ghost: Ascendant Newcomers Green Day: Seasoned Veterans Highly Suspect: Ascendant Newcomers I Prevail: Carving A Niche In Flames: Carving A Niche Kaleo: Alternative Bands That Rock Kings Of Leon: Alternative Bands That Rock KoRn: Seasoned Veterans Metallica: Legends One Less Reason: Carving A Niche Pop Evil: 10-Year Staples Red Hot Chili Peppers: Legends Red Sun Rising: Ascendant Newcomers Shinedown: Seasoned Veterans Sixx: A.M.: 10-Year Staples Skillet: 10-Year Staples Starset: Ascendant Newcomers The Pretty Reckless: Ascendant Newcomers Thousand Foot Krutch: Seasoned Veterans Thrice: First Big Hit Through Fire: Carving A Niche Trapt: Seasoned Veterans Twenty One Pilots: Chart Oddities Volbeat: 10-Year Staples
And here are the bands sorted by classification:
Legends
Metallica Red Hot Chili Peppers
Seasoned Veterans
Breaking Benjamin Chevelle Disturbed Green Day KoRn Shinedown Thousand Foot Krutch Trapt
10-Year Staples
Adelitas Way Alter Bridge Avenged Sevenfold Five Finger Death Punch Pop Evil Sixx: A.M. Skillet Volbeat
Ascendant Newcomers
A Day To Remember Devour The Day Ghost Highly Suspect Red Sun Rising Starset The Pretty Reckless
Alternative Bands That Rock
Kaleo Kings Of Leon
First Big Hit
Dinosaur Pile-Up Thrice
Carving A Niche
Beartooth Gemini Syndrome I Prevail In Flames One Less Reason Through Fire
Chart Oddities
Twenty One Pilots
"Legends" are bands that have been around for more than 25 years and have had tremendous influence on contemporary rock music. "Seasoned Veterans" are bands that have been around since the 1990s or early 2000s, and have helped define the current generation of Active Rock. "10-Year Staples" are bands that have had consistent success on the rock charts since the mid-2000s. "Ascendant Newcomers" are bands that have emerged this decade and become rising stars. "Alternative Bands That Rock" are bands that are most popular on Alternative, but do have some material that's suitable for Active Rock. "First Big Hit" are bands that have just scored their first big hits on the rock charts. "Carving A Niche" are bands that aren't widely known and tend to occupy the bottom half of the chart, but have potential to become the next Ascendant Newcomers. "Chart Oddities" are bands that don't really fit on Active Rock, but get airplay anyway.
NOTE: Green Day and the Red Hot Chili Peppers can also be classified as Alternative Bands That Rock, but both bands have been around long enough to develop solid Active Rock credentials as well.
Though Active Rock has taken a back seat to Alternative in the last five years, there's still plenty of excellent stuff to be heard, and more new bands and material than we've been led to believe. Hopefully there will be a nice Active Rock revival coming in the 2020s.

lol at Twenty One Pilots = Chart Oddities. More like un welcomed chart oddities, but you are right. 0% rock vibe from that song.
In other news. It's about time "Higher" made that Alt top 40.

There are 13 songs in the #8 to #25 region that are rising up at pretty decent rates (maybe except "Move"). KDGE also changed to a Christmas station (no, I am not kidding, Google it), and they put the big alt hits at high rotation (so that would include "Heathens" and "Ophelia" for instance), so that would further reduce "Ophelia"'s spins. So the end for "Ophelia" should be near, even with "Way Down We Go" and "Good Grief" on their way out. I predict it will barely miss the 52-week mark and go recurrent at about January. "Bored to Death" looks to also spend its final week on the chart next week, with "High and Low", "Blood in the Cut", "Talk Too Much" and "Still Breathing" rising ("Bang Bang" will fall below it, so it should land at #15 next week, below these songs except "Still Breathing" which should pass it the week after)

Also, craziaskowboi , great analysis. I would personally classify Thrice as Carving a Niche though, they had a few charting singles before "Black Honey" (Never mind, I get why you classify them as such now). Now, let's see for how it would be for Alternative and AAA? Note that some of the classifications differ due to varying chart successes. Green Day have been around since 1986 but broke out in 1994, but I count them as legends anyway. Revivalists carving a niche? yes they had a single before it on AAA ("Keep Going" went top 30 there last year). WIKY was their breakthrough but since it's their second charting single I count it as carving a niche. It's only first big hit on alt since it's their first charter there

So with the recategorizing, maybe we have this. The 1975 went top 20 before, but I classify them as Carving a Niche instead of Ascendant Newcomers since "Love Me" wasn't that big of a hit. I left Mondo Cozmo as First Big Hit since Shine will be top 15 on AAA on the next AAA chart, and moved The Revivalists from First Big Hit to Carving a Niche on Alt, and vice versa for AAA.
EDIT 11/28: Moved Jim James from First Big Hit to Carving a Niche for the sorting by artist name (it's left as Carving a Niche when sorted by classification) classification); forgot to edit that

from craziaskowboi i interpreted "First big hit" as an artists first time making the top half of the chart, even if they charted before and "carving a niche" were artists that have only charted in the bottom half, including artists who only have one charting song (Bleeker) Idk, but Beartooth went top 20 last year yet he classified it as Carving a Niche idk either, maybe he didn't think their songs were "big hits" as an opinion i would also put The Revivalists and Sundara Karma in carving a niche too (edit: u changed it)

Billboard moved WAQX (aka the station mostly responsible for Take It All Back charting on Active) from the Active rock panel to the Alternative panel this week. Good decision.
