He should work with Sam Sparro again. The Voodoo sound suits him the best imo. Also since he and Hurts are on the same label, they should do something together (girl can dream, right?). Anyway if not Hurts (because the possibility is quite low there i'd assume), RCA should send him to work with some Brits doing electro/synth pop. I just hope he leaves the outdated rock behind this time, that's not gonna get him anywhere.

In the wake of Adam Lambert's performance of Aftermath on last week's American Idol results show, sales of his Acoustic Live! EP skyrocketed, selling more than 3,000 units last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's a 2,132% increase over the EP's previous week's sales and enough to put the EP back into The Billboard 200 chart.
Adam Lambert, Acoustic Live! (3,000, 2,132%, 26,000) (#158 BB200) Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (2,000, +21%, 805,000)

Adam Lambert Confirmed To Present At 'NewNowNext Awards'The "NewNowNext Awards" is often known for its' eclectic line-up of presenters – and this year is no exception. www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/panic-at-the-disco-added-to-live-musical-performances-on-logos-fourth-annual-newnownext-awards-2011-117992899.htmlEntertainment Weekly's Review of 'Glam Nation Live'EW's grade: A- If there's any newish pop act worthy of a live release, it's American Idol runner-up Lambert, whose vocal acrobatics make this a terrific complement to his 2009 solo debut. Because he incubated before us in a perform-or-die setting, Lambert's ability to work a crowd is audible. Everything from his hit ''Whataya Want From Me'' to his take on ''Ring of Fire'' sizzles more than the too-too-perfect studio versions. Bonus: Glam Nation Live includes an expertly produced DVD of the concert. American Idol: Catching Up With Adam Lambert Glam Nation Behind the ScenesAdam Lambert: Glams Up For The After PartyAdam Lambert attends the Bebe: The After Party event held at the SupperClub on Thursday (March 17) in Hollywood, Calif. The 29-year-old Aftermath singer was also joined by rock singer BC Jean and designer Roxy Contin, who debuted her new Spring line. The “Whaddya Want From Me” singer seemed to be having a fabulous time mingling and posing for pictures with fellow guests at the party which was held at the SupperClub. In other news, Adam is gearing up for the exciting release of “Glam Nation Live” tour on CD/DVD coming up on March 22. Earlier this week, Lambert enthusiastically tweeted, “Off to the studio!!! Great music’s happening!” Adam and Roxy roccosrevolutionRocco's Pop Revolution: Seen through the eyes of someone living it Adam Lambert. Seriously. Why Do You Dress So Fabulously?? I don’t even know where he was (some fabulous party that I would never be invited to in my life, I presume) but he just looks so freakin’ fabulous. I’m more into his clothes and this lifestyle he leads, than I’m into his music. (minus that EP album… that is super excellent) If I have to tat up my body and dye my hair bubblegum pink to hang out with Adam… I’ll do it. Don’t test me. I’ll do anything for us to be friends. He’s enjoying her company so much… I’m so jealous of her and her fishnet stockings. Look at his hair!! I just want to touch it. (his, not hers) I lost my obsession with Adam Lambert and the fierceness he embodies recently…. but this just brought it back. And it’s in full force. His first post-”Idol” album generated a couple of hit singles, and he’s got new music on the way soon. He’s also found success on the road, selling out venues all over the world. But what Lambert’s found is that with all of this success comes increased responsibility, because his status as an openly gay pop star has made him a role model for gay teens. At first, Lambert admits, he found it to be a little intimidating, but he tells us he’s grown to feel comfortable — even privileged — being called a role model. rockstarweeklySemi Precious Weapons Take Aim Nice mentioned about Adam from alt. rocker Justin Tranter lead singer of Semi Precious Weapons. Tranter, who also moonlights as a jewelry designer, is openly bi-sexual and appreciates that other ‘out’ artists are having success in the mainstream. Comparisons to another out, ‘glam’ boy of today are inevitable. “Adam Lambert is an amazing, amazing singer. He’s also a huge fan of our band,” says Tranter. “He’s helped us sell some records. He’s tweeted about our song, Put a Diamond In It, multiple times. Everytime he does, all of a sudden, on iTunes, that’s the most popular song for the week. So we thank him for that. I think Adam Lambert has a very over the top visual image, but musically, he’s a pop star and he’s the first one to admit it. There’s nothing rock and roll about what he does. So I think that he’s awesome and talented and I think that it’s great because he’s a fan of ours. But what we do is very different. There’s room for all of us.” bit.ly/gxKZ8yAdam Lambert gets mentioned in episode of GIGANTIC on TeenNick! The scene depicts a conversation between a daughter and her father who turns out to be gay (around 17:00) bit.ly/gZV1qx"Aftermath" Remix debuted on @theedgenz New Zealand radio bit.ly/49PBRSonyMusicNZ Sony Music NZ Goodmorning! Now it's time for him to get remixed--and boy am I happy about it. Elusive remixer Tony Pryde gave If I Had You an electro revamp of epic proportions. The best part about this track is the support that Adam's voice lends--it makes a banging beat even more energetic and amplified simply because of the power in the man's voice. And there's that drop--sure to rip weaves off in clubs everywhere. With that, this is Kid Alien, wishing peace, love, unity, and respect to all. bit.ly/fiqjFEWhole Lotta Love (Jump Around Remix) by ADAM LAMBERTA remix of "Whole Lotta Love" ("Jump Around Remix") started making the rounds on Twitter today. From the New York Post: "When Adam Lambert threw in an unexpected guy/guy kiss during his live performance on ABC’s live broadcast of the American Music Awards in 2009, the punishment was swift and decisive. Lambert’s scheduled ABC appearances, including a “Good Morning America” concert and a performance on Dick Clark’s annual “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” were canceled the next morning. todaymsnbcWhich season is truly the most talented group ever on 'Idol'? The message from “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and the judges is clear: This is the most talented group of finalists ever. That’s the big theme of this year ... and if it sounds familiar, it’s because it was also the theme of the nine previous seasons. Rarely has there even been a hint of acknowledgement that the field in a particular year may not be as strong as those who came before. But is it accurate? Time will tell, but here’s one man’s opinion of how each season’s field of finalists ranks. 10. Season six Jordin Sparks has had a sneaky good career, sticking on the pop charts just like a tattoo sticks to skin. Beyond that ... um ... Melinda Doolittle is in an upcoming "Veggie Tales" DVD! And of course, Sanjaya Malakar was on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here," which probably ranks him as the second most-prominent alum in the class. Which is not saying much. 9. Season nine It's way too early to make a judgment on this class, but it's also hard to find a superstar here. Champion Lee DeWyze certainly hasn't turned the post-"Idol" buzz into great success. And though runner-up Crystal Bowersox has potential, the star of this group may wind up being Casey James, who opened for Sugarland on eight tour dates in March. 8. Season seven Winner David Cook has done well for himself as an artist. Carly Smithson went straight from the "Idol" stage to become the lead singer of We Are the Fallen, which looks and sounds much like the former Evanescence since it has most of the group's old members. And Kristy Lee Cook hosts "Goin' Country" on the Versus network. But it's been a surprisingly weak class outside of that. The biggest surprise in the group is runner-up David Archuleta, who was perhaps the most talented teenager ever to audition for the show. He built up a huge fan base and had some early success, but has fizzled since. 7. Season three Jennifer Hudson's the obvious star. She's won an Oscar, a Grammy and a role as the spokeswoman for Weight Watchers. She finished in seventh place, so you might think the six ahead of her became superstars. But while winner Fantasia Barrino has enjoyed success on Broadway and has a Grammy of her own, and Jasmine Trias is apparently huge in the Philippines, has anyone heard from the likes of John Stevens and Jon Peter Lewis lately? The most prominent of the also-rans now — besides Hudson — may be 11th-place finisher Matt Rogers, who hosts "Coming Home" on Lifetime. 6. Season eight Adam Lambert has had the most success so far and doesn’t appear to be done yet. Winner Kris Allen has had a rockier path, but at least has a hit single to his credit in "Live Like We're Dying." In addition, this group has some potential for future success. Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta have both had their moments. While Matt Giraud is unlikely to ever be a music superstar, he's shown the talent to have a long career in the business. 5. Season one The voters sure got the first season’s results right. Kelly Clarkson has become perhaps the biggest star the show has produced and is still relevant on the music scene eight years later. By herself, she makes this class one of the five most talented. Beyond that … well, there wasn’t as much hype surrounding the auditions as there were for future years, which may explain why nobody else really made it. (But Nikki McKibbin resurfaced a couple of years ago when she was on “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.”) 4. Season two Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken finished the season with the most compelling finale ever, and the third and fourth place finishers — Kimberley Locke and Josh Gracin — have each enjoyed some degree of post-"Idol" recording success. Beyond that, the post-show results fall off in a hurry. Trenyce, Carmen Rasmusen, Rickey Smith … all of those are names that only the most dedicated "Idol" fans remembered a few years after the show. And of course, there’s also Corey Clark, the disqualified contestant who tried to bring then-judge Paula Abdul down via scandal. 3. Season 10 This really might be among the most talented classes ever, probably because it’s a less cookie-cutter bunch than previous seasons. The men all excel in different genres, while Lauren Alaina and Pia Toscano are both favorites with clear career paths ahead of them. Even someone like Naima Adedapo, who’s a big long shot to win, does what she does very well and shouldn’t have to go back to her day job anytime soon. It’s likely that at least a few of these final 11 performers will be able to carve out a strong career in the business. Also, don’t underestimate how much it helps their development to have Jimmy Iovine and his crew mentoring them, rather than dealing with the idiosyncrasies and banal compliments of a new guest mentor every week, as has been the case in the past. I can't rank this class any higher this early in the season, but I would not collapse onstage like Casey Abrams did a week ago if this winds up really being the best of them all. 2. Season four Similar to the first season, this produced one superstar in Carrie Underwood and not much else. That superstar, however, has been the best thing that has ever happened to the show, as Underwood always seems ready to come back when called upon to perform. Runner-up Bo Bice has enjoyed some success and is now seen on TV promoting Moe's Southwestern Grill, and Constantine Maroulis is big on Broadway. Both benefited from the decision that season to increase the age limit for auditioners to 28, designed expressly to increase the talent base. The "what-might-have-been" here is Mario Vasquez, who dropped out between the semifinals and the finals and is a good test case that regardless of what singers may feel about the contract the winner has to sign, it beats the alternative of trying to do it yourself. 1. Season five Ironically, the season with the worst champion may have had the deepest pool of candidates to choose from. The obvious star here was Chris Daughtry, who emerged from his surprising elimination to form his own band and become one of the fixtures of pop radio. But country singers have also had a big impact on the charts, as Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington can attest. Elliott Yamin has maintained his fan base, and runner-up Katharine McPhee has had her moments. Which begs the question: What were we thinking as "American Idol" voters when we made Taylor Hicks the winner on.today.com/hdFk4CTheEdgeNZ The Edge Glambert fans! Clickety-click: bit.ly/h74YIytheedgeWhat would you ask Adam Lambert? All your hardcore tweeting has paid off Glambert fans - Adam himself has seen the overwhelming demand for him to call The Edge and is giving Brad & Marty a call this Saturday morning for an exclusive interview! Because the fans asked for it (and made it happen), we thought it only fair they get to ask the questions... So, what one question would you ask Adam Lambert?* Would it be - what's your favourite ice cream? song? place to party? or maybe one about his music - what has he got planned next? The interview will play Monday night (April 4, after 7pm NZST) with Marty on The Edge. blogcriticsMusic Review: Adam Lambert – Glam Nation Live excellent review Adam Lambert released his first concert DVD, Glam Nation Live, last week with an accompanying CD. The release features 12 tracks, including hits like “Whataya Want From Me” and “If I Had You” from Lambert’s debut album, For Your Entertainment, which has sold over one million copies worldwide since its release in 2009. Lambert takes his Glam Nation Tour from the road into our homes with the new release. After popping in the DVD, we begin our journey through Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Live and land in Indianapolis, Indiana at Clowes Hall at Butler University on August 31, 2010. Before the concert begins, we get to see a little sneak peak of Lambert, the band and the dancers backstage, along with footage from the rehearsal and the crowd lining up for the concert. You can feel the anticipation and excitement in the air. Lambert appears in the purple-and-pink spotlight with the moon in the background and heavy black eyeliner rimming his eyes as he opens the show with “Voodoo.” You get the feeling that you are watching a circus and Lambert is the ringmaster. He tames his animals-like dancers just like puppets under his spell. Lambert goes back to his American Idol roots in “Ring of Fire” and belts out his signature high note, except it's more subdued than on Idol. I remember when Lambert performed this song on Idol; it’s really when I took notice of him in the competition and when he took a chance and stepped above his competitors. Lambert faced a little controversy when he kissed his keyboardist at the American Music Awards back in 2009. He redoes this moment on stage with his guitarist in “Fever” and sings, “You burn me up.” Lambert also heats up the stage with his sexy gyrations. He uses the entire stage to his advantage, always the showman and looking comfortable on stage. Lambert takes a small tribal dancing interlude before slowing down his hyper-production for “Sleepwalker.” He appears from the shadows with a long theatrical jacket and shows his great voice with super range and control in this song. Lambert stops his singing to talk about the theme of the concert, which is love. He says, “Sometimes love sucks” before going into his mega hit, “Whataya Want From Me.” Lambert does a soft acoustic version of the song with just a guitar and very light drum. In “Soaked,” I felt like I was watching the pivotal moment in a play, where the lead does a solo with just the piano. He hits a high note and keeps it going while milking it from the crowd as they erupt in applause. Lambert stops again to talk with the audience about love a little more, about finding it in the wrong places, but that it will all be ok in the “Aftermath.” He sings, “You will be ok in the aftermath” almost like a reassurance that everything will be ok. “Jamming with Lasers” gives Lambert the opportunity to change clothes while we are dazzled by the laser display, guitar and drums. “Sure Fire Winners” reminds me of a glamorized Steven Tyler rendition. The song is very rock, with a little toughness and a ton of sex appeal. Lambert wraps up his Glam Nation Live performance with his most pop rock song, “If I Had You.” He gets the crowd up and hopping with this danceable hit. The images go from black-and-white to color and add vibrancy to the song, and Lambert gets a little sexual with his dancers. The Glam Nation Live performance was fun and energetic. Lambert eats up the stage with his booming personality. In just over an hour you get a cool Adam Lambert experience, plus a few touring videos to wrap up your tour experience. This DVD comes with a CD, so you have all the audio from the concert. bit.ly/hWthZhhollywoodreporterGuest Blogger and 'American Idol' Alum Siobhan Magnus: 'Bring on the Pyro and Smoke Machine!' Siobhan Magnus gives her review on Elton John night: the good, the great and the pitchy. When talkng about James Durbin (S10 contestant) she mentions Adam Lambert. The comparisons to Adam Lambert are pretty obvious. I'm sure I'm not the first genius to pick up on that. And it just goes to show: Adam left such a footprint on the show that no matter the season, whoever really stands out as an individual, be it with their appearance or being really theatrical in their performance, it’s always going to come back to Adam's time on the show. It’s an inevitable comparison. As the show grows, people leave behind a stamp, they're part of it. It's amazing for Adam that he's been without a doubt one of the most influential contestants the show has ever had. There aren't really that many other people that contestants get compared to as immediately, but if you’re someone, like James, who’s bombastic and theatrical, they say Adam. bit.ly/dZF2jHTwo great articles where Adam briefly gets mentionedautostraddleLinda Perry Starts Pink’s Party, Defends Christina Aguilera, Is Legendary Linda is now one of the most in-demand prolific songwriters and record producers in the industry writing and producing songs for Alicia Keys, Courtney Love, Gwen Stefani and Adam Lambert (among countless others). A: I know you wrote and produced for Adam Lambert with “A Loaded Smile” for his album. He’s one of the first mainstream pop singers to be out at the very start of his career. Do you think pop musicians need to worry about staying closeted the way actors do? L: Hmmm… I still don’t understand that. That’s a whole other interview! I honestly am still baffled by the closet thing. I don’t get it. There’s nothing you can tell me that would make me understand why people feel the need to hide who they are – under any circumstance. So, I can’t comprehend it therefore I can’t even answer it. bit.ly/eMiOcywatermarkonlineJENNIFER NETTLES: Superstar and lead singer of country group Sugarland speaks out on homophobia, girl crushes and why Adam Lambert turns her on. Many country stars have actually addressed gay issues in the press, including Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Dolly Parton. And yet we still don’t have a major country artist who’s out. Why do you think that is? I don’t know why that is. Let’s discuss here for a moment, because clearly there are gay country fans. I can’t even speak as to why. Why do you think? Maybe we might come up with something here. My guess is that they’re putting their career on the line; it’s scary for a country artist to come out in such a conservative arena, as you said. But isn’t it scary for any artist to come out? Even in mainstream pop it is. I mean, thank God—and I’ve said this before—for Adam Lambert. Thank God for eyeliner. I have needed a sexy man to wear eyeliner since The Cure. Since Robert Smith no one has really been able to do it for me in that way. bit.ly/eSwcGWAdam Lambert Featured in US Weeklysquiggles621 bit.ly/eDgJ7S

Exclusive: Lady Gaga Kicks Drunk Adam Lambert Out of Her B-Day BashAdam had an adventurous two days and this story is just way to good and funny to have taken seriously. According to Perez Hilton (Mr. Sensationalism) Adam had a wild and crazy time at Gaga's surprise b'day party. Tweets adamlambert Adam Lambert Was trying for celebratory gesture 4 gaga's B- piñata style...instead my fist is all bruised and la cita has a hole in the ceiling. #sloppy 30 Mar Favorite @perezhilton Perez Hilton @adamlambert True! Plus have you SEEN how low those ceilings were? twitpic.com/4ff8yjPerez gave an interview on 3/31 with Carson Daly (97.1) and within hours US Magazine bit.ly/fjM1eu picked up the story. By the end of the day close to 100 websites from gossip bloggers to mainstream US media all the way to International media shores rehashed Perez's account. There were many, many tweets that night and not one corroborating Perez's story. Adam is free spirited but uncontrollable raving madman. NOT! but it makes for a good story. Adam went as a guest with good friend Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters)along with Kate Hudson and Fergie. Perez fail! CNN Showbiz TonightPopdustAdam Lambert Accused of Drunkenedly Ruining Lady Gaga’s Party Are there any seven words worse than “if Perez Hilton is to be believed”? Well, if Perez Hilton is to be believed, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert showed up at Lady Gaga’s birthday party drunk as a glammy, glitter-punk skunk. Lambert wasn’t even invited to the damn party at Los Angeles’s La Cita Mexican Restaurant but apparently crashed it anyway. We bet he said “Whataya Want from Me” in a really entertaining and adorable way. Gaga apparently had him thrown out—we can only hope that he turned around and yelled, “Don’t you know who I am?! I beat Danny Gokey!” Was Lambert as bad a guest as Gaga says or was he secretly the life of the party? Let’s run down Lambert’s offenses: • Showing up “beyond drunk” And, according to Hilton, “Super sloppy embarrassingly drunk.” But then, we have to ask, when is it a crime for a rock star to show up drunk to something. I mean, isn’t Lambert’s whole schtick being the Bowie-esque counterpart to the crew of boring Idol nice guys? Here’s a video of David Bowie allegedly performing “Golden Years” drunk out of his mind on Soul Train. And no one acted like a Maude Flanders about it. Winner: Lambert • Doing some “intense fist-pumping” This is dorky stuff that the Jersey Shore ruined for everyone. It sounds like the guy who shows up at the party and talks to you about Rebecca Black for 20 minutes. You played yourself, Adam… Winner: Gaga • Punching a hole in the low ceiling of the venue Destruction is always cool. It’s not Led Zeppelin throwing a TV in a lake, but, how much damage can you really do at a crowded Mexican restaurant? Next time: guac fight. Winner: Lambert • Jumping up on the tables and chairs and screaming A witness told Us Magazine that Lambert was climbing on the tables and acting a fool. Sounds a little too Tom Cruise to us, and we definitely aren’t looking for that guy right now in these post-Sheen crazy days. Winner: Gaga • Trying to smear cake in Gaga’s face Gaga already covers here face with veils and eye-patches and masks all the time. What’s a little frosting between friends? Winner: Lambert FINAL VERDICT: Lambert Seriously, we’d love to have this guy over for a party sometime. If he induces discomfort in someone who wears meat as clothes, he’s gotta be doing something right. Free Adam! accesshollywoodROLL CALL: Is Adam Lambert Too Rock ‘N’ Roll For Lady Gaga? Did Glambert Get ‘Sloppy’ At Gaga’s Birthday?: Adam Lambert was reportedly not on the right track baby when he showed up at Lady Gaga’s birthday party last weekend. According to Perez Hilton, Adam appeared to be drunk. “Adam showed up beyond drunk… super sloppy embarrassingly drunk " the blogger claimed during an interview on LA’s 97.1 AMP Radio “Morning Dish” show. An Us Weekly source also claimed Adam was too much of a Little Monster at Gaga’s party. “Adam acted like an animal. He kept jumping up on the tables and chairs and screaming. When they brought the cake out he tried to smear it in Gaga’s face and put a doll from the cake in her mouth!” the source claimed. Adam’s rep had no comment when contacted by the mag, but Adam did Tweet, “My hand still hurts. Lol… Was trying for celebratory gesture 4 gaga’s B- piñata style…instead my fist is all bruised and la cita has a hole in the ceiling. #sloppy” E! NewsE! News - ADAM WAS NOT KICKED OUT OF THE PARTY ACCORDING TO LADY GAGA'S PRESS REP! Adamlambert Long live Rock n' Roll! :) PerezHilton Perez Hilton @ @adamlambert Ha! So was it a "publicity stunt" or was Perez pissed Adam skipped his Birthday Bash and wasn't invited to Jake's party?????? Perez gave an interview on 3/28 and he had this to say about Adam Lambert laweekly QUESTION:Tell me about the charity aspect of your birthday this year. What gave you the idea? Perez Hilton: I was really inspired by Adam Lambert. I saw that he used the opportunity of his birthday to raise money for a charity that he believed in, charity: water. I knew that I wanted mine to be a GLBT organization in light all the teens committing suicide last year and the bullying that's still going on. Trevor Project is amazing and I've referred a lot of people there, but GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) hasn't had as much press so I knew they could use it more. By asking people to donate for my birthday, I've raised $12,000, but even more important than the money, is the fact that I've been talking about it a lot, and making people more aware. If GLSEN is able to get in the schools and do their work, hopefully kids wont feel the need to call the Trevor Project because they're suicidal. bit.ly/fUA3E5bostonheraldBoston Herald Gives 'Glam Nation Live' an A If you like Adam Lambert, prepare to love “Glam Nation Live.” If you’re not a Glambert fan, prepare to (possibly) be converted. The “American Idol” runner-up clearly excels at live performance, and this collects the best live renditions of songs such as “Voodoo,” “If I Had You” and “Whataya Want From Me,” capturing Lambert’s personality and flair for theatrics in a way that studio recordings cannot. His dark and yet somehow triumphant sound -— sort of a dancefloor diva’s interpretation of the Cure — is expertly re-created, while Lambert’s breathtaking vocal exploits (“Ring of Fire,” anyone?) leave no doubt about who should have nabbed the “Idol” crown. Studio time:adamlambert Adam Lambert So excited to work w @officialnikka today!! One of my dream collaborations! 10:17 AM Apr 1st Nikka Costa @officialnikka mother, singer, writer, musician, fighter, lover, short ass,big mouth, bigger hair... www.myspace.com/nikkacosta/musicPrintzBoard In the lab with @adamlambert and @officialnikka today..!! absolutely, incredible, dope a licious.. lets get this..!! adamlambert @printzboard @officialnikka so dirrrty Printz Board under his own production company, Beets and Produce, Inc., has scored films, commercials, made for TV movies and of course made musical history with and for artists, Macy Gray, John Legend, Shakira, Cassie Davis, Rebekah White, Fergie (as a solo artist), Will.i.am, The Black Eyed Peas, Busta Rhymes, Katy Perry and a host of others. www.myspace.com/printzboardmusicpoprepublic(Australia Review) "A jaded journo gets his glam nation on" Its incredibly rare for me to go ape s**t over an artist, let alone consider myself a total fan… but its finally happened. For years I have had the privilege of working with some of the worlds biggest names, so traditionally I was always on "the job" rather than being a fan of the music - sure I loved the music, as I would never have gotten into the business in the first place, but its been a long long time since someone has made me sonically sit up and go gaga. And no I'm not talking about "Lady"… I am speaking of none other than Mr Adam Lambert. Adam was on Idol - and sure, I liked the performances and I dug his uniqueness… but I was so overloaded with covering Idol and jaded by that stage in the game, that I never paid a huge amount of attention. My other half on the other hand was always tweeting about him and the other contestants, including the spunky Alison, but I digress! It was when I had the opportunity of a one on one interview with Adam in Sydney, that I saw a man, completely driven by his passion for music and entertainment - I saw a lot of myself in him, and no not in a sexy way, but I was instantly engaged by him - so charming, funny, personable - you know - I was there to be a host, chat pop music, and his upcoming appearance at Sydney's Mardi Gras party, and it really was a true pleasure to work with him on my job - it was like talking to a close and personal friend. Some artists are totally difficult to interview, but the whole crew just fell for him on that day. Even knowing we had so much work ahead of us, covering the massive parade, party - and Adam was CLOSING the party - which for us was nearly 32 hours of working straight, filming, snapping, and more we were so looking forward ot seeing him perform - to see if his stage show was as nice as he was! So when it finally got to his Mardi Gras show, we were sweating beyond belief in the hall and just stood there and got totally blown away by his live performance. Three months later, I had 'slightly' jumped on to his first album by then and it just so happened I was on the other side of the world in New York City, when Adam was announced as playing at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square… Cut to me, in the mosh pit, off to the side as I wanted to drink, with my man (JP), and the show began… At one point, JP just started giggling at me, as he noticed that I had started singing along with the songs, even knowing a lot of the lyrics - a trick he had not seen for a long long time. Normally its him singing along like a backing singer, but somehow Adam Lamberts gig was where this little horse was out in front! That show was just incredible. Ok, you could excuse the fact that we were in New York, watching an American Idol alum showcasing his talents - but BOY what talents were they - just an incredible show! I swear I had goosebumps for three days after it - one gust of wind and I was physically feeling 'If I Had You' and 'Strut' all over again! So, thats when I jumped into the album totally, and probably the bandwagon - but oh, what a treat! - I knew the release was good, but after in depth listens and delving completely into the message of each song - I think it has to be said that is my favourite release of the last five years at least! And just remember, its my job to listen and review tonnes of releases… Adam personifies the best of the music business. Talent, creativity, drive, humanity and above all - a connection with his fans that makes them FEEL the entire production of what he is offering - from the visual live stage spectacular to acoustic recordings… all have that old school "real" vibe about them - whilst maintaining a commercial sensibility that thousands of "chart" acts STRIVE to achieve and fail at. Adam is a natural. This is a big sell, but throw me back into Sydney later in 2010, and Adam had announced he will be touring Australia with the Glam Nation tour (the same show as we saw in New York)… well, I had to go didn't I? I was actually worried it would not translate well, as a lot of Aussie shows get "look loos" - you know - people who don't necessarily like the artist, but they are so starved for quality entertainment they will go to anything! lol They usually sit there expecting to be entertained, whilst part of the joy was seeing Adam's audience totally get absorbed into the show's environment. But really - Adam's showmanship translated perfectly, and that connection with the crowd was there and just as strong! Please as punch and proud were the feelings I had sitting in the upstairs bit of the Enmore Theatre that night - it wasn't a fluke. Now I am even more excited, with Adam releasing his Glam Nation tour on CD and wait for it - DVD - thats right - you will get to experience my fandom too… I highly recommend watching AND listening to this release in its entirety, over and over again. It was something magical that snapped me out of my jaded view of the music world, so thankyou Mr Lambert. I for one - am proud to be a fan. bit.ly/iiO7ObAdam Lambert gets his very own VH1 Behind the Music SpecialPublicist Page Jeter tweets, “VH1′s Behind the Music @adamlambert with Kris Allen interview at @tru_hollywood! twitpic.com/4frzqm.” Kris Allen was interviewed today (April 1, 2011) by VH1 for an ADAM LAMBERT Behind the Music special! That's enough to keep him at No. 2, behind a Les Miserables: 25th Anniversary in Concert release that features Nick Jonas. After 2 weeks Adam is close to reaching Gold! Ryan Tedder On Working with Adam LambertTHR: You recently worked with several Idol alums including Adam Lambert, with whom you’ve written two songs. In terms of the progress of his new album, where do you think he’s at musically? Tedder: I think he's a rocker. He can definitely pull off a dance song, but after working with him, I really think he’s a rock dude and one of the greatest male vocalists around, for sure. The first album was trying every musical style under the sun, but I believe his naturally proclivity is rock and I think that's the direction he's going to go. No matter what, I think Adam’s a star. THR: Adam has described the album as slightly more serious, did you get that sense in the studio? Tedder: He’s still super funny and goofy as hell. We just have fun in the studio. He doesn't take himself seriously at all. It's still cheeky and sarcastic, but he definitely knows what he wants. As for me, the only stuff I've ever had success with is when I'm trying to be completely original and not thinking about mirroring what else is out there. So basically – and selfishly -- all I really do is, I write or produce the kind of Adam Lambert song that I would want to hear. bit.ly/gxpBVr

I like your order pick. It's how I would also placed the order. I'm still not yet convinced on S10 yet. It's a weird season for me in that in one way there isn't a bad contestant in the bunch which is a good thing but there isn't one that I can say is a breakout star neither. There still plenty of time left to go though. usatodayGlam Nation Live Review: Adam Lambert pours on the showmanship with ferocity and flamboyance in a high-energy concert shot last August at Clowes Hall in Indianapolis. News'American Idol' producer Ken Warwick in a recent interview talks teen vote, Lambert's 'buzz', and Pia's ousting and why winning doesn't matter anymore. Q. The last few male winners on Idol haven't had a great track record. Does that concern you? A. Ken: The answer is I don't know. I make a television show. At the end of that show, I hopefully give the record company a person who has a following of 20-30 million people. What they do from then on has nothing to do with me. I move on to the next year's show, holding auditions, and putting the show together. Has the best person always won? We know from history... you could say that Kris Allen hasn't really broken but there's always a hell of a buzz about Adam Lambert. From the top five, there's usually a star in there somewhere. It's just a question of who picks them up and what songs they release. There are lots of Idols who have become stars. I'm pretty sure that whoever comes out of this season is gonna break. I'm really confident that the winner has a future. bit.ly/eyau6iAdam Lambert - Sleepwalker *IMPROVED VERSION* Music Box LAThanks to tekkie lambosessed Adam Tweets To Check Out Friendfactor and fans crash it!friendfactoraccelerator.charityhappenings.org/In reply: @friendfactor Friendfactor @adamlambert You rock!
