"Tracks of my Tears" is such a flawless performance- I find myself listening to that almost as much as "Mad World" which technically isn't as perfect but has a more mysterious magical quality to it.

I was watching some of Adam's old Idol performances, and it was weird seeing him with a mentor, knowing now that he'd return one season later to mentor. It was a total mindf*ck.

I think the fact that he was asked back to mentor speaks to how great of an AI contestant he really was, and 19E's support of him. It's really great to see.

ETA-Apparently AI was at Adam's concert in Vancouver taping the show.

May I ask... why? Idol is about winning a major recording contract, name recognition and having a major label backing you. He won all of that, and even more. What's there to be depressed about? It's just a title that no one will remember once Idol is off air.

and can I just add to the "Tracks Of My Tears" appreciation? :) I really wanted Adam to reprise that on the finale instead of "Mad World" (much love for MW too though!). and I'm still a little bitter that we didn't get a ToMT studio recording of the version Adam performed on the show.

anyway, I can't wait to see Adam back on Idol this week to mentor & perform. I really think he'll do a great job mentoring!

Well, since we're having a mini-TOMT appreciation post, here's my TOMT story.

You may know/remember me as the girl that recorded and uploaded all of Adam's AI performances in HD during the season. Well, I was working on the Tuesday of Motown week and I got out SUPER late, and THEN I had to drive my sister over to her friend's house out in the middle of nowhere, and THEN to top off EVERYTHING, we had a horrific electrical storm going on, and there were tornado warnings everywhere. Well, I got home about 5 minutes before AI started, got my recording device up and running and then prayed to God that I would get Adam's segment glitch-free. After the show aired and I went back to edit my recording, I saw that Every.Single.Performance. EXCEPT for Adam's TOMT performance, had MAJOR glitches in them. I still think I had a little capping angel watching over me that day. It was a miracle that I didn't lose power or get a tornado in the middle of that storm, let alone get Adam's entire segment glitch-free.

I think he'll be a great mentor too. And he's excited about it so that makes it more exciting to me. But as much as I love Adam I have to admit I would've preferred to see Kelly mentoring first, she was the first and the most successful of all the contestants (worldwide, I know, locally it's carrie). It would make sense to see her mentoring the idols. But either way i'll be more than happy to see Adam doing it

The New York Post Reviews Adam's Vancouver Concert....which they didn't actually attend.

I have never in my life seen a concert review (from a major paper no less!) that was done solely off of Youtube videos!!!

I'd love to see Kelly as a mentor too. although I love Carrie and several other Idols, Kelly's really the only other one (speaking as an Adam fan obviously) that I'd really like to see in that role. she totally has the personality for it!

not yet rose, just a few random casino dates. expect a summer tour with orianthi though.

VH1 Unplugged just finished on the East Coast. He looked and sounded great! The setlist was: "Music Again", "Mad World", "Whataya Want From Me", and "Down the Rabbit Hole" with short interviews in between. The VJ said that an extended version (which includes "Broken Open" will air on Palladia tomorrow at 9pm. What an enjoyable program, I hope VH1 continues to invest in this series

OMG Adam on Vh1 Unplugged was adorable. It was so great to see these on a big screen, but it was cool because they kept in some of the shenanigans that were cut in the online version, like Adam spilling his coffee on the amp, the false start, the cute banter, etc...

They actually do. Not their careers or music, but their looks. Adam could have been his long lost son

I don't think it gets any more obvious than this performance. The first time I saw it I was like HOLY s**t DID ELVIS HAVE AN ILLEGITIMATE SON WE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT. Then I was like, "Oh, Adam's too young."

With concert Youtubes for the very reason that you usually either get great audio and poor picture quality, or great picture quality and poor audio. Very rarely do you get the two together.

But, I still watch them :)

He had one concert in a casino in the US at February so far that was sold out without being promoted neither on his official website nor on his twitter. The concert appeared in the list of events at AO only after it was sold out. In Canada, he had two concerts that AFAIK were sold out too this week.

Currently, there are two performances that we know of in the US with Orianthi as a special guest. One of them at Minneapolis at June at another casino. The other is at Tampa at September at a location that can host up to 40K people according to locals.
I hope RCA release more tour dates and locations soon.

don't forget, Adam's part of KIIS FM's Wango Tango lineup, and he's also performing at a concert for KISS 108 in Boston too (both of those are in May). I wouldn't be surprised if more radio concerts end up being announced, and hopefully we'll get dates for Adam's own tour soon! :) I definitely think he'll be doing several, if not all, shows with Orianthi.

so, Adam's going back to the UK at the end of this week, right? I know he said he would be doing tv appearances on this trip...has anyone heard what shows he'll be on yet?

Hey, that's my blurry picture up there, lol!! We very briefly met Adam as he was walking in to mentor the idols at the Viva Elvis Theater. He looked AMAZING. You could spot the guy a mile away!
