Here is a partial review of tonight's show- with the full review to come tomorrow: www.timesleader.com/news/Carrie-Underwood-performs-to-a-near-capacity-crowd-at-Mohegan-Sun-Arena-Monday-evening.htmlCarrie Underwood performs to a near-capacity crowd at Mohegan Sun Arena Monday evening. Brad Patton For The Times Leader Carrie Underwood performs in concert. WHEN/WHERE: 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre Township. THE SHORT WORD: Contemporary country superstar Carrie Underwood gave the capacity crowd at Mohegan Sun Arena Monday exactly what they wanted: a little bit country, a little bit of theatrics, and a whole lot of her soaring, powerful voice. Underwood’s “Play On” tour, with opening acts Sons of Sylvia and Craig Morgan in tow, delighted from beginning to end as the former “American Idol” sang her way through just about all of her No. 1 hits, plus a good sampling of her latest album. For the rest of the story, please see tomorrow's Times Leader.

Carrie was shown on the Early Show around 8 am EST so far, for the Pedigree Pet promo. She was asked about her engagement and they zoomed in on the ring. :) She will be back on soon as that was just a preliminary interview.

Everything about this performance is pretty amazing. And, now I feel like I should start listening to LN more. Me too. I'm sorta meh about the studio version, but the girl knows how to sell a song LIVE like no other. That version should be put in her future 'LIVE ALBUM', whether professional or fan-made. I could list several other performances that should be on that record *wishfully thinking* Ok, I've listened to Carrie for about 5 years now, and very often, she gives us this special "wow" moment. She did it again with this Last Name performance. She just gets better and better. I mean, dang.

^ For classic Country, Carrie has been doing "Stand By Your Man.
For Rock, she alternates between Summer of 69, Home Sweet Home, and Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n Roses. lol
For 80s, she did 9-5 twice so far, but I kind of hope she changes that song as I am not really into it. lol Plus when I think 80s, I think Wham or Hair Bands. lol
For 90s Country, she did a duet with Craig Morgan, once, to an Alan Jackson song, Chasing that Neon Rainbow. She has only dueted with Craig once though, oddly. Rock wins almost every night. lol
^^ great pictures lyrichord! wow.
^^^ Jeff at the concert last night, did you hear Carrie say something like "I see the ushers telling people to sit down, but this is a concert people! Have fun! " lol Someone tweeted that she said this last night and that everyone cheered. lol

The add thanking country radio for their support had me giggling a bit. Temporary Home was one of the songs Carrie had a larger hand in crafting and then she says "It's songs like this that make a difference". I love her. lol

To be fair, Carrie thinks that all songs with any remotely uplifting message make a difference.

Carrie looks amazing in the CBS video. Love her hair styled all straight like that and nice neutral makeup colors. Also she always has the best earrings. Very articulate interview too. She seems so much more comfortable with everything this era. Thanks for sharing your pics and video, jeff. :)

Nice to see Carrie helpin out the Idols :) Danny Gokey Interview from CMT A lot of the past winners and contestants have had a lot of great success in the country world, obviously Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington. Have you talked to any of them?I have talked to Carrie. She is a very good friend. She reached out, giving me advice when I needed advice. And she's just an awesome stand-up girl. I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone else. I mean, I don't try to knock down people's doors, but when the time comes and when the time is right, I'll do it. www.cmt.com/news/country-music/1635093/cmt-insider-interview-danny-gokey.jhtml
