I hope this does better than Wherever I Stand (even top 20) I agree. I actually really liked Wherever I Stand but I'd like to see these guys make an actual impact with something soon.

I am so psyched for this album. One of the most underrated hard rock bands out there.

^I don't know if you'll still be psyched when you hear the new single. It's streaming on their myspace now and it's TERRIBLE!
I really like Taproot. I even the last album that a lot of their fans didn't like. "Karmaway" and "Path Less Taken" are amazing. But this song is just completely not what they're about. Not only does it sound like it's radio rock, but it's MAJOR KEY!!! TAPROOT! MAJOR! Granted "Birthday" had Major key moments, but "Birthday" did it in an interesting way. This song is just objectively not good, though I guess the really heavy major key riff is sorta unique even if it makes no sense.

I think it's kind of average but I'm not as vehement as you are. My main beef is with the shouted parts in the verses. It just doesn't sound that good.

So I've seen the title as EVerything I Said Was True (Fractured) but on the myspace it shows the title is actually Fractured (Everything I Said Was True).
I'm sorry jvan, that you don't like this. I actually don't mind it at all although I do agree with pen that the screamy verses might take a little getting used to but I'm not a musician so I don't analyze the key of a song. That's sucks you don't like it. I'm okay with its sounding radio rock(y) that means it might actually be successful. I can actually see this song doing pretty well chart wise.

I don't think it will. Major key songs don't do well on active rock usually. Pop Evil - "100 in a 55" was a recent exception to that rule, but yeah, my guess is that if this remains their single, it will barely go top 40 on active. It probably won't even match "Wherever I stand". And while that song is not awesome, it deserved much better than it fared.

This doesn't stand a chance competing against Barry Manilow.

I actually really like this one. Active Rock's #1 most added according to FMQB.

This has already done better than "Wherever I Stand". I'm banking on a top 20 here.

This has already done better than "Wherever I Stand" Aha! But alas this is not so. "Wherever I Stand" reached somewhere around #30 on active rock, #33 at worst, and #34 on Billboard Mainstream Rock. Though I do think that this will eventually outpeak "Wherever I Stand", maybe even within a few weeks.

Think I'm still right "Wherever I Stand" peaked at #34, this is at #32/31.

I highly doubt it will debut at #31 or 32 this week on Billboard, even if it's that high today on mediabase active. I'll estimate about a #36 debut this week, and then I think it'll outpeak it next week. But on mediabase you may already be right. *concedes potential defeat*

^Guess that confirms it. I actually prefer "Wherever I Stand". Both are awesome tracks though.

I almost forgot that "Wherever I Stand" exists and don't remember at all how it goes. This has a bit of a punk kind of feel to it and has to be the softest Taproot song I've ever heard (even less than "Birthday"). I'm not sure if I prefer a song like "Poem" and "Again & Again" or this.

Probably cause they now have a label behind them. That's my guess.

Album debuted at #107 with only 5k sold. Less than their last album. :( That really surprised me, especially with Nonpoint having a very strong first week. But I guess on the bright side Fractured is still rising quickly on Active, should break top 20 soon..
