My local CHR played this! I'm shocked! They've only played two Paramore songs before. (I'm pretty sure can guess which ones.) Misery Business and That's What You Get? those are the only ones that did quite well on Pop, since Decode stalled just into the top 40 and Crushcrush and Ignorance didn't make it :'(. Yep. At least all of their singles have been played on my local alternative station! (Well, all of the ones from Misery Business on...)

As big of a stan as I am, I can admit that Paramore's first album sucked.

I don't think 'Misery Business' got an adds date? Same for 'Crushcrushcrush'.

Didn't 'TWYG' get an adds date? That would mean that only 2 Paramore songs have ever been officially sent for adds (TWYG and Ignorance)

My faves are 'Pressure', 'Woah', 'Conspiracy' and 'Never Let this Go'. But I prefer the more pop sound on Riot!

Decode didn't get a POP adds date. That made top 40 on its own.

Keep going up! I do like 'Pressure' and I can enjoy 'Conspiracy', 'Emergency' and 'All We Know' in small doses. Aside from that, I dislike their first album. Riot! as a whole is great, and Brand New Eyes, while not as amazing as Riot!, is probably their best album in terms of lyrics. There are just not a lot of radio friendly songs as in Riot!.

Brand New Eyes is a better album that Riot!, it has better lyrics, Hayley's vocals are better, and the songs seem to have more effort put in to them. Riot! was a huge step up from their first album and got them going in the right direction. There aren't as many radio friendly songs on Brand New Eyes, but the band didn't set out to make a radio friendly record, they were just telling their story from the past year, through all of the band drama and the complications of becoming stars.

Yeah, BNE is a more cohesive and mature album. Musically it's a lot stronger too.

Paramore seem so popular, I don't why they don't soar the charts. They've got the teenage girls and boys, they've hot the Twilight type fans and they're mostly respected as a rock band now.

I've had an odd relationship with their album. I bought it on the first day of its release and listened to it a decent amount but found I tired of it quick. Then once the "Brick By Boring Brick" video was released I fell in love with that song again. With "The Only Exception" I initially dismissed the track but now upon its single release I am starting to see its charm. So in a weird way the album is slowly growing on me more.
It's definitely one of those albums you appreciate more after the fact.
