From the little snippets of the video that I saw, I don't care for the song. It sounds like something from the late 90s. It seems as if Missy is somewhat regressing instead of progressing or at least staying modern with her music. She was always known as the innovator and coming off a high-energy, different-from-anything-on-the-radio single of Lose Control, I just don't think this is a good follow-up. This would have served better as a final, closing single for the CD, but the big question remains how well will it do on the radio?

Sad News about missy elliott
Last week Missy Elliott tore an Achilles tendon while rehearsing for TV Guide's Emmy party. A no-show surely would have been understood, but Missy sucked it up and on Sunday she not only appeared at the publication's shindig, she got onstage on crutches and performed. Missy is scheduled to go under the knife this week to repair the damage; there is no word yet on how long it will take for her to recover from the surgery. Elliott's rep says the rapper is in good sprits and resting..

I'm really suprised that Teary Eyed was #8 today/ Why would you be surprised? Aren't all those video countdown shows payola? TRL is, atleast. Hence why Ashlee Simpson took #1.

Now I've seen the video and we know Meltdown won't be the 3rd single. Let's hope We Run This now.

I am starting to like this song a little more after hearing the entire CD. It fits the CD and the energy of that CD is dope on the real. I do hope that it goes further because it's a nice, laidback, R&B cut from Missy that is refreshing and fits the season. I know some people are probably saying I did a whole 360 ...no its not payola but the song sounds good after a few listens. I don't know why radio hasn't responded more favorably to this song already. Lose Control has lost its appeal...it's older now.

i don't see an injury like that preventing a 3rd single, lol. it could delay a video for it but still. besides "teary eyed" is just starting.

there might not be a 3rd single due to missys injury That's a stupid excuse not to release a single plus she doesnt need to release another single for another 2+ months since she just released "Teary eyed"...so thats gives her a few months to heal.......

This is easily my favorite Missy single since "Sock It 2 Me." This is exactly what I want from Missy. 90's Missy was so much better than 00's Missy, and this is a return to her original form imo. What an awesome surprise coming after "Lose Control" which is among my least favorite singles of hers.

lol I saw the video like 3 times on BET last Friday. It's ok, but the Meltdown part was the best. Weird, but the best part of the video, and too short. I love that song, Meltdown.

Why would she release this? After hearing the CD, there were better mid-tempos, ballads to release than this? She should have continued with the energy of Lose Control and released "We Run This" or "Partytime" or "On and On" For a better slow jam, the duet with Fantasia or "Remember When" or even just something else. Think about the progression from Lose Control and its success on both radio and video to this wack crap. If Lose Control is not really selling the CD, how could a weak R&B reject song, which is the weakest on the CD in my opinion, sell the CD?

Is this song officially over? I just heard it today and I really liked it on first listen. One of the first songs I loved on first listen. It's a shame... I'm just starting to personally chart it, too.
