Congrats to BOB for ousting Rihanna. No offence, but from last year, BEP left a bad taste in my mouth and whenever I see a song on the top for more than three weeks, I lose interest in it. Same thing happened with me for TT and RB. Hence.... Ditto, except for me it's 5 weeks tops, hence Rihanna left just about time. Now lets hope that BOB only stays @ the top few weeks and others may have a chance @ #1. I do think that BOB it's gonna stay 3-5 weeks, depending on how fast OMG rises and/or if by any chance YLIMD or Alejandro sell a lot on any given week. B.O.B won't be on the top for so long, maz 2 weeks. After that maybe Usher or Sebert can take over. As for Alejansdro, Gaga is unpredictable.

It'd be extremely hard for Usher to take down B.O.B in the next two weeks or so. While Usher is gaining at radio, B.O.B is waxing him in both digital sales and radio airplay. The next #1 will probably be someone in the 100 million audience and have solid sales.

OMG will go to #1.
It's like Rude Boy all over again, crazy AI gains daily and it that means more digital sales.

It may go #1 sometime in the future, but two weeks? No.

Well, it's pretty obvious that Adam has been pushed WAY more than Kris, not to mention the stunts he pulled. It's not surprising that he is more successful. But Adam's success has been moderate given the hype he had early on. The same kind of stunts the other one pulled (by parading his Christianity on the show for all to see). You see, they both pulled ¨stunts¨ that pandered to their target audience: it's just that the gayz are willing to spend more $$$$ than the Christians.

Are you seriously comparing Adam's "little" stunt to Kris' "big" stunt? Yeah. I'm not trying to take anything away from Adam. But he was pimped from the get-go. It's not that surprising that he is more successful than Kris.

^ It's not that I dislike Kris Allen, it's just that if I recall correctly back then, the ones who couldn't bear to have a gay American Idol, ended voting for whomever would take the crown away from him (it was, in a major news network, even asked to do just exactly this), and in the end, it just happened to be Allen.
But I digress....
Ok, we are in the 18th week (chartwise) of 2010, so here is my pred for the next 12 until the 30th week:
19-21 BOB 22 Alejandro (if GaGa actually does perform that song, not in a medley way, on AI) 23-27 OMG 28-30 Airplanes, perhaps???

"Airplanes" could be a future #1. The fact that it has sold so well with no video, no performance and minimum airplay is a sign. Picture what it will do when the airplay increases.

Christina Aguilera's "Not Myself Tonight" enters the Hot 100 at #23 and Hot Digital Songs at #15.

Who has the highest charting single and better selling album???? Yeah, we all know who the real American Idol of 2009 is: Lambert. Were are all the Allen fans who voted for him???? ummm. 'Whattaya Want From Me' was completely stalling until he performed it on American Idol. If Allen could have performed 'Live Like You Were Dying' it would have done the same thing... Um, yeah, definitely, because the history of LLWD's live performances should it moved so many places on Itunes after each performance before.. ah, wait, it didn't move it all. The history of WWFM after live performances shows it jumped higher and higher after each (Leno, SYTYCD, Oprah..) if only the AI performance didn't come 3 months after Oprah with no performance in between..

9. Your Love is My Drug WOW. T10 already without a video.
28. Alejandro 32. Gives You Hell 35. Hello 36. Bulletproof - Yay it's a hit. 49. Hello Goodbye 66. Hello I Love You
That makes it 8 Glee T40's & 29 H100's. For the latter, that's more than Taylor, Britney, or Christina. And more than Madonna from 1993+.
Radio moves: Alejandro 61-35 OMG 56-25 Your Love 35-27

Wow congrats to La Roux!! I'm so happy that they cracked the Top 40!! I predict they won't go much higher than this though, radio is still extremely slow at adding them. Which format are they generating most of their airplay at anyway? Also disappointed that The Script might stall just outside the Top 10... their airplay is extremely slow gaining, they need a real boost to have a shot.

Congrats to B.O.B but not surprised to see Drake struggling a bit. That's just NOT a radio friendly song IMO.

With "Like a Prayer" poised to return to the Hot 100 courtesy of the "Glee" cast, I finally got to the bottom of the original's digital sales snafu. Turns out "Like a Prayer" showed up as "Like a Virgin" in some SoundScan reports. So, the 243K figure for one of the "Virgin" listings was for "Like a Prayer"- so, "Prayer" has scanned more than 300K to date, whereas "Virgin" has sold a lot less than what we had thought (still probably near 200K, which isn't bad at all). Remember when bks posted the digital chart when Madonna's catalog hit iTunes? "Like a Virgin" was the highest-ranking for the week- but, in fact, it was "Like a Prayer." The figure he posted earlier this year (62k or so) did not include the original album version, as noted. The mystery has been solved (why we didn't think of that, I'm not sure. hehe) Interesting! Well, who would have thought of such a thing? But I sure wish bks were still posting the digital charts... I'd love to see what some of Madonna's digital sales are next week.

I can't fathom Alejandro going number 1. I guess anything is possible with the Lady but we'll see. Usher making up some ground from his prior efforts. 5 weeks was a long run for Riri, but let's not forget, we won't be seeing her top 10 (or 20, or 30...maybe farther ) until the next album/re-release.

Do you guys think Aguilera still got a good chance with NMT? I mean... the song's video and some performances may help it even though the song did not have a big first impact by itself...

I'm confident RiRi will get a top 30. She's usually pretty consistent with her releases with most of them going top 20. Fewer blunders than most even with her later releases.
