That was so not good. The Ghost video was ten times better than this. And, what's with them messing with her voice on "care about me." That's not how it was in the free version of Stuttering. I also hope that it's not like that on the album version, cause it annoyed me. There is a good thing, though, she looks good in the video. :)

Is this scheduled to come out in Canada on Nov 9th? That's what Amazon says, but CDPlus gives a date of Nov 22nd. I love both 'Ghost' and 'Stuttering' so I'm thinking about checking out the full album.

As per the news item below, Joy will have 13 tracks (including Stuttering and Ghost). I wonder if "I Want You" and "Make Me Move" will make the cut or if they are just too old to be repackaged on a "new" album. World Premiere Video of "Stuttering"Fefe's new video, "Stuttering", is premiering TODAY! Check it out here! Her upcoming album, Joy, is out November 30, 2010! The album includes the hit single “Ghost” as well as [glow=red,2,300]11 more new songs![/glow] You can pre-order the new album right now from Amazon.com! fefedobson.com/news_d.aspx?nid=8218

Something tells me the track list will be the same with Stuttering just tacked on.

Fefe is holding her American album release party in New York city at The Gramercy Theater on November 30th. Tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com Eh concert has been cancelled as per Live Nation and Gramercy Theater box office. But her official facebook account is saying it is "postponed until further notice" whatever that means. Hopefully this doesn't effect the album being released in the U.S. on the same day In other news, the tracklisting and :30s samples are up on amazon.com: www.amazon.com/Joy/dp/B004BTHIYM/ref=mb_oe_o

So they took off one song and added an intro? Great.

I love Stuttering and Ghost, and these clips sounds pretty good. Guess I'll probably get the album! I know she's struggling in the US but I'm glad she's doing well in Canada.

Album and bonus tracks are on her myspace to stream. www.myspace.com/fefedobson/music/albums/joy-16996791In love with pretty much the entire album! My favorites are Joy, I'm a Lady, Set Me Free, Didn't See You Coming, Thanks For Nothing, and ofcourse Ghost, I Want You, and Stuttering. I really love the verses to You Bitch, but the chorus doesn't seem to fit it for some reason, the switch to the loud heavy guitar? Of the bonuses I really wish Black Haired Boy and Made Out With Your Boyfriend were on the album! And I wish we got Catch Me instead of Rockstar- eugh. I guess we're never going to get the full version of that song. :(

Oh my, I LOVE this album! I'll definitely be buying it. My faves are You Bitch, Can't Breathe, Didn't See You Coming, Ghost, Set Me Free, Thanks For Nothing and In Your Touch! I really hope this comes out tomorrow or Tuesday or whenever it's coming in Canada.

Ahh. This CD is really good. I'm going to pick it on Tuesday for sure.
Joy 7/10 - This song is good, but it should never be a single. It brings out that indie girl we know Fefe has always been. Set Me Free 8/10 - Has a late 90/early 00 feeling to it. I really like this one. In Your Touch 10/10 - My favorite song on the album. I actually feel something listening to this. Brings back memories, even though I never heard the song before. The vocals are also raw. I love this song. I'm A Lady 7/10 - A rock song. Not one of my favorite song on the album, but it's not bad. This sounds like like some acts on Rock radio. I wonder if they'd ever push her there. Didn't See You Coming 10/10 - My second favorite. Ahh I've missed this type of music with all this dance stuff on radio now. Really like this one. Reminds me of Something Corporate's earlier stuff. You Bitch 7/10 - Good poprock song. Classic Fefe. Rock-dance mix kind of. Reminds me more of a Skye Sweetnam song than Fefe, but still alright. Can't Breathe - 8/10 - It's a pretty good. Fit's a lot with what's on the radio now. Not my favorite song, but the chorus is catchy. I could see them sending this out as the next single, if she gets another one. Thanks for Nothing 9/10 - Catchy pop song. ALthough there are some parts where I don't like her voice on the song, it's still pretty good overall. It makes me think of an end of a college or high school movie where everybody is just happy.
This album is versatile like nothing else. It goes from Indie to Rock to Pop feeling songs, which is great because I like them all. I do think Stuttering is the one of the most radio friendly song for what's on the radio right now. But I think other songs could also do well ("Thanks for Nothing", and "Can't Breathe"). Didn't See You Coming and In Your Touch are my personal favorites. Edit: And I can't get enough of Thanks For Nothing. Soo good.
Edit" Thanks For Nothing should really be the next single. I think it could do really well, although I thought the same for Stuttering.

Lovin the great reviews. Anyone know if the bonus tracks will be available to purchase anywhere in the U.S.? Not sure, but on Canadian iTunes there are 2 versions of the album. The regular $9.99 version includes the 12 tracks (plus intro), while the $ 13.99 album (which doesn't say "Special Edition" or anything, simply "Joy"), includes the original 12 tracks plus "I made out with your boyfriend", "Johnny Cash", "Black Haired Boy", "Rockstar" and the videos of "I Want You", "Ghost", and "Stuttering". I can see why they kept those songs off the regular CD, they are pretty different, and you can almost see the direction of the album was changed somewhere in the middle of the recording process, maybe after I Want You flopped.

It kind of feels like "Stuttering" and "Ghost" don't really fit in with the rest of the album. They're radio friendly pop songs and there aren't many others.

I'd say the original 12-track CD is pretty divided. "Thanks for Nothing" and "I Can't Breathe" fit with the two singles, are the 4 most pop (and radio friendly) of the album. "You Bitch", "Didn't See You Coming", "In Your Touch" and "Set Me Free" are somewhere in between, and "Joy", "I'm a Lady", "I Want You" and "Watch Me Move" (and the bonus tracks) are less pop and more indie/rock girl.

Exactly the same way I thought about it! Even though I do think You Bitch is close enough to Ghost, Suttering, Can't Breathe and Thanks for Nothing. But yeah, and the versatility IS what makes the album so awesome!

I'm sooo buying this album next Tuesday. I haven't purchased an album since the lady that's currently in my avatar. I've loved FeFe since I heard "Take Me Away" in the fall of 2003. While the album didn't grab me (although I was obsessed with "Everything" and "Unforgiven", THIS album grabs me instantly. It's a shame that it'll probably flop though. Island Records suck!

The album is currently number #31 on the Canadian iTunes album chart. I'm hoping for a top 20 debut. Some Beatles albums are preventing this from being a bit higher on the Itunes chart. ALso, it is the deluxe version that is at #31. The original version is at #193. Not sure why it's so low.

I can see why they kept those songs off the regular CD, they are pretty different, and you can almost see the direction of the album was changed somewhere in the middle of the recording process, maybe after I Want You flopped. American iTunes only has one version of Joy available at the moment and it's the deluxe version with four bonus tracks (I Made Out with Your Boyfriend, Johnny Cash, Black Haired Boy, and Rockstar,) and the music videos for Ghost, I Want You, and Stuttering for $11.99. Unfortunately, the bonus tracks are album only and I already bought the physical CD. Maybe if I get an iTunes gift card for Christmas I will spring for another copy of the album just for the bonus tracks. Or maybe eventually the bonus tracks will not be album only. CD is priced at $9.00 on Amazon.com and $12.99 at BestBuy.com with free shipping.
