Even though I'm well aware of the "Tender Love" sample, as soon as it started, I thought of "Lovers And Friends". This song is HILARIOUS though because it's so sugary sweet and some of Trina's lyrics are really crude or just plain old ghetto. my thoughts exactly on first hearing the song. except it sounds more like "Don't Wanna Try" by frankie j to me. i fell out of my chair when it came in with the soft piano intro and she says "You know what? I'm too fly for this sh-."

It kind of reminded me of a Frankie J song too, at first...
I downloaded a version a while ago and it said Kelly Rowland, but to me it sounds like it might be Teedra Moses...some parts it sounds like Kelly but then at others I'm unsure
I like the beat....but I dont know if I like these slow intuitive kind of songs by Trina...first was that "The Club Went Crazy" with Mannie Fresh, which is similar, and now this...it sounds weird from her

Not feeling this. Kelly sounded good but trina's lyrics messed up the song.

The only reason anyone thinks it sounds like Frankie J. is because "Don't Wanna Try" ripped off "Tender Love".

This song is tight. Somebody hit it on the nail though when they talked about Trina being ghetto. I was rolling when she opened up the song because she came "hard" but it's better to be real than to be fake. Kelly really lets loose on here giving some very mature and understated but on-point vocals. This song is very radio-friendly, and it has Fall/Autumn written all over it. I know it's going to make the biggest dent on radio since the singles off her debut 5 years ago.

Oh dear Trina, afta such a hot song - Dont Trip, onto this?! no no, Trina is NOT cut out for slow songs, and thats why i liked Diamond Princess album so much, it had so mny different sounds, yet she generally managed to avoid this honey coated genre.. hmph

I love "The CLub Went Crazy" that's another of my favorites from TRina. I think this may be my favorite album from her because I really like all the songs I've heard so far.
Diamond Princess was an album that seemed thrown together. For crying out loud she had Lil'Brianna as a featured guest and they did a Candy Girl song. People want Trina to be direct, sexually explicit and in your face and well so far with the songs I've heard she's definetly back to her ghetto ways.

I think Trina is underrated in a sense. Everyone only focuses on her booty. She said it herself in a recent Source Magazine interview, ironically she's showing her booty on the cover. Trina's parts add entertainment to the song and she does have talent other than her big ol' booty becuase this is shaping up to be a hit record.

Trina is FMQB's Artist To Watch
Trina f/Kelly Rowland "Here We Go" (Slip-n-Slide/Atlantic)
Sometimes all it takes is a good melody to get to the masses. That could be the case with Trina, whose latest track featuring Kelly Rowland features a melody made famous by the Force MDs ("Tender Love") back in the day. It’s one of the better songs to have surfaced from the often-edgy Hip-Hop star. The last time this Destiny’s Child member appeared on a duet the results produced a major hit for Nelly ("Dilemma") and that is one of the key reasons Trina makes our "Artist To Watch" spotlight.

I heard the other version with Teedra Moses, I think, and I like that version better. Teedra's vocals are more soulful and more improvised and natural=sounding. Kelly sounds good, but at the same time her adlibbing and interpretive skills are what causes her to miss the mark on some of the songs. I have always wondered what it is about Kelly's voice that throws me off sometimes like on Bad Habit, which in someone else's hands could've been an even better, more powerful song. Don't get me wrong, Kelly does well. But hearing Teedra Moses singing it takes the song to a whole other level. She is not just singing pretty but is singing with a certain spirit that the song needs.

I'm glad Kelly is trying to truly establish a career of her own. Sucks to always be in Beyonka's shadow.
